Howard Ratner, a New York City Jeweler and gambling addict obtains a rare uncut Ethiopian gem and thinks he finally hits it big when a high profile basketball player shows obsessive interest in purchasing the Gem. However, Howard's Gambling debts and inability to stop searching for the next big score may just see him loose everything.
