Charles Brenner is a leading Global expert in the biology, chemistry and Medicine of NAD the central Catalyst of metabolism he currently works at City of Hope in Los Angeles as professor and chair of the Department of diabetes and cancer metabolism. I'm intrigued by Charles' recent rebuttal to David Sinclair's thesis regarding longevity. "Surtuins are not conserved longevity genes" published in the Journal of Life metabolism in October 2022. In this episode Charles and I discuss this paper and his view on the science of longevity. We will expand on this while also discussing various other topics related to NAD, use cases for NR, metabolism and where influencers go wrong in the nutrition space.
