They also discuss the importance of using a historical lens and historical methods when undertaking policy analysis. Dr. Raul Pacheco-Vega is a faculty member with the Centro de Investigacion y Docencia Economicas (Mexico). Their discussion was recorded in Paris (April 2019) while they were both holding the post of Invited Professor with the Institut des Hautes Etudes de l'Amérique Latine at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
