Wedding Celebrant - Vincent Whelan

from Laura and Benny Show - Laura Redhead Benson · host Laura and Benny Media

The Gold Standard of Wedding Officiants, Vincent Whelan of Spiritual Ceremonies joins Laura Redhead Benson to talk the ins and out of Wedding Ceremonies. Vincent is a registered Solemnizer, meaning he can preform legally binding ceremonies. Laura with Vinny, teases her way through the technicalities of ceremonies shedding light on legal and non-binding ceremonies. Laura recalls her first impressions of Vinny and how he flipped those impressions by doing the simplest of tasks. Vincent is all about everyone that is in the room, no one is left behind. The guests, the venue staff, wedding suppliers, the wedding party including of course the couple themselves. The experience is maximized for everyone, removing his potential adverse impact as much as possible. Vinny and Laura run through the entire ceremony and give great insights in many easily overlooked aspects. Vinny explains his approach to introducing himself to the guest, prior to the ceremony, right through to what he sees when he is the last person out of the room. Elements that can be added to ceremonies are outlined such as: ring warming, hand tying, sand pouring and message box are but a few. Whether a wedding couple ask someone to say a reading or light a candle, Vinny has great appreciation for the nerves we all deal with. His sensitivity and warmth in helping people through those moments standout. The emotion of vows are touch on as we find out Benny is a crier. Various options are discussed. Vinny brings us through how Officiants can help couple prepare the wedding ceremony, running order and script. The impact of venue is touched on and what legal requirements are to be met if a legally binding ceremony is to take place in the day. Getting to know Vinny we find out he is a superhero! Charity work in and out of costume, Vinny favourite is to dress up as a superhero delivering presents to a children's hospital at Christmas. If that wasn't inspirational enough he also speaks to his community at the Spiritualist Union of Ireland preforming motivational speeches.
