What College Football Playoff Expansion Means For The Big Ten | College Football 2022
from College Football with Sam · host Samuel Recker
Around an hour ago, news surfaced that the CFP board of managers had voted on expanding the CFP to 12 teams. This format includes bye weeks for the highest ranked 4 teams, along with auto bids for conference champions (and other details). What this means for the Big Ten and what this means for College Football as a whole are related, yet also different. This is great news for the Big Ten individually as a conference, as multiple Big Ten teams will be playoff-bound year after year. This will drive up TV revenue for the conference and give them more power. However, for the sport as a whole, I feel like this is another move that is bringing College Football closer to the NFL, which I am not a fan of. I am curious to get your thoughts on this, so make sure to comment down below! Leave a like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell for more fantastic content!
