What is The Role of Parents in Education; SF Pays People Not to Shoot and Half-A-Million Dollar Homeless Unit – Halloween Has Come Early

In this episode, we look at Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe’s comments that parents shouldn’t have a say in what schools teach their children. If Terry’s comments are accurate, why do we get asked to join the PTA, help raise money, or volunteer if we, as parents, don’t matter? Now we know who comes first – the union, then the teachers, then everybody else. We also look at the insane amount of money the city of Los Angeles is spending on homeless apartments: $575,000 per unit. And in San Francisco there is a new government pilot program that pays 10 individuals not to harm or shoot anyone because they have a reputation for repeated violence. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? Why does SF only reward people who act badly? Why does LA spend over half a million dollars a unit per homeless person?
