In my experience in talking with people over the years, I have observed a very common struggle to do what that verse calls us to do—to throw off everything that hinders and entangles. And most of the time the struggle to “throw off” what needs to be thrown off, is rooted in confusion about their connection with Jesus—who he is, and what he has done and desires to do in them, for them, and through them. Their fuzzy understanding stunts their maturity and growth.The teaching the Apostle Paul gives us in the book of Ephesians can speak some clarity in this kind of confusion and misunderstanding. I’m calling this series Included.
