Things are getting more and more transparently crazy in the world. Big tech/social media giants, Twitter & Facebook just kicked the President of the USA off their platforms permanently last week. Instagram's new privacy policies allow them to spy on you anytime they want. Oh ya, and the people who are around you while you have your phone. Many incredible thought leaders are being censored, cancelled and deplatformed at the moment. Amazon pulled their servers out from under the $1Billion social media company, Parler, which potentially put them out of business over night... unless they can get somebody else to host them. WTF is going on and what does all this mean for small businesses, online educators and creators like you and me? It means the future (for at least the next 2-5 years) is going to be in gathering in small, focused, private online communities. As fear rises, division continues and disconnection escalates, people will be looking for safety, comfort and decentralized communities to gather without the fear of being watched by their Big Brother, Mark Zuckerberg and all his friends. The time has never been more ripe and apparent that creating your own online community or membership site, just for you and YOUR people is a great idea. Need help building your own online community?
