He is the executive director of Cities4Peace (a peacebuilding initiative of the Art of Living Foundation), Producer & Director of the 'From India With Love' documentary film, and a former manager of Shell’s Gamechanger Social Innovation Program. He transitioned his life to focus on social impact, particularly in the USA, where he works with marginalized communities, including former gang members, police officers, and victims/ survivors of violence. He uses the wisdom of Indian culture, particularly meditative practices like Sudarshan Kriya pranayama to promote healing and peace. In this episode, we talked about Mandar sir’s personal experiences in South Central Los Angeles and the challenges faced by these communities, highlighting the prevalence of gun violence, drug use, and intergenerational trauma. He shares stories of his meditation-based workshops with the people of LA and how they have transformed the lives of many people. He emphasizes the importance of community building and empathy, drawing on his experiences and the inspiring stories of those that he has helped. This was an amazing conversation about the violence in the USA and the way India’s wisdom can be part of the solution. I hope you will enjoy this episode and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
