It's been said that ideas can change the world. This isn't always a good thing. Maybe you've heard the idea that you are the average of the 5 people you hang out with the most. How about sometimes you got to break some eggs to make an omelet? Or maybe, first they think you're crazy, then they fight you, then they agree with you and you win. What these ideas all have in common is that they can be used to justify some pretty bad behavior. I take a closer look into these ideas and how they can cause an unseen form of discrimination, justify innocent people being collateral damage, and how a 100 year old speech fighting for labor rights was recently twisted by a CEO in order to gain public sympathy. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I found YouTube videos by Ryan Freeman, an award winning sound designer, to be good a resource for improving my narration mix.
