2 Broke Geeks

This episode is, as the title says, pretty regular. Not too many weird tangents. We did some stuff. Regular stuff. We talk about "The Pitt", "Daredevil: Born Again", a couple of movies, a couple of trailers. You know, regular stuff.

It sucks we seem to only get to do this once a month now! But, you know, life. In this episode that was supposed to be short because Matt was tired and cranky, we actually cover a lot: movies Justin saw, The Pitt, Daredevil, Godzilla, and other random catch-up stuff!

Recorded on Justin's actual birthday, the guys talk about Curb Your Enthusiasm, Predator: Badlands, The Pitt, and a love they don't talk much on the show: music.

The boys are back in town (the boys are back in town!) and they're just talking their usual nonsense. Just leaving your house costs too much. Matt has been watching "The Pitt" and has seen some stuff he never thought he would see on TV. Justin watched a couple of movies. There's a few trailers for stuff. You know, a typical episode.

After a holiday break, Justin and Matt are back to wrap up 2025 and look forward to 2026

So, Justin saw the new Predator, we're both watching "It: Welcome to Derry", Matt went to a concert, Funko may be done, and so much more.

In this episode stuff happens. What stuff? I can't remember. We recorded this almost two weeks ago but I have had some brain fog lately and honestly completely space on posting this until now. I know for sure we talked about Peacemaker. And maybe Justin saw a movie? Or two movies? Just listen and find out!

It's been well over a month since we last podded! But in this explosive release of an episode, we're back at it! Peacemaker, Justin's weird experience at the movies, South Park, horror, and so so much more! It feels good to get that cramp out of our podcast stomach.

Ozzy Osbourne is dead. The world is a little less metal. But we saw "Superman". And Matt saw the new Jurassic World movie. And we watched the new "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" episodes. So we've been up to some stuff.

Matt has been a bad geek lately. He's barely seen or done or read anything. And just listen to him try to speak! What the heck is happening? Luckily Justin has still seen movies and stuff.

We finally talk about the season finale of "Daredevil: Born Again". We also watched a couple movies and Matt's been watching mostly TV. Then we get on an amazing tangent about terrible horror movies to end the show.

On this episode we discuss a lot of TV: "Mid-Century Modern", "White Lotus", and "Daredevil", mostly. Also the special five minute look at "Superman". And, of course, our usual shenanigans.

"Severance" talk. "Daredevil: Born Again" talk. And other stuff. This was recorded a while ago and I can't remember what we talked about because I procrastinated getting it posted.

Matt doesn't have much to contribute to this episode. He's been off in anxiety land watching mostly reruns of old comfort shows. Although he did finally watch "Longlegs" and has been keeping up with "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man". Justin, on the other hand, has been watching Toho movies he's never seen and been to the theater! He saw "Companion" and "Captain America: Brave New World." Also, Matt continues to champion "Severance" and both of us didn't much care for the last episode of "Harley Quinn" we saw.

We talk a little bit about "Harley Quinn", a couple of movies Justin saw, "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" and a few other actual topics, but mostly we get really side tracked by dumb stuff, laugh and lose our minds.

Nosferatu and other movies, TV shows, buffoonery, you know, our typical stuff and nonsense.

Our lives and jobs are keeping us from being regular or even all that geeky, but we're still here. "The Penguin" rocks. Justin watched some movies. Matt is watching a lot of old stuff.

After about a month away, the boys are back and did some stuff. "The Penguin" is the best thing on the list, but also we saw some movies and junk.

We won't lie: we're struggling. We're the most broke we've been in a while. Our jobs are getting to us. We don't get to pod much. And when we do get to pod, there isn't much news and we don't like much of what we've consumed. It's a very weird year. We're both surprised this episode is as long as it is.

San Diego Comic Con 2024 is a wrap and there is some stuff. RDJ Is DOCTOR DOOM? New trailer for "The Penguin". Also, we saw "Deadpool and Wolverine". What did we think?

Matt's life just isn't that geeky anymore. He's been defeated by work and poorness. Justin is going to the theater like crazy and also finally watched "The Bear". There's geek hope on the horizon in the form of trailers for things, though!

We'll be real: we have jack going on. The news is light, we're poor, we just have very little going on. We saw "The Strangers: Chapter 1". Justin is seeing some old movies on the big screen. Matt is watching some random TV. Superman looks like Superman. Help us, fellas.

The geeks lament how they're back to their super broke roots. We finally talk about Godzilla x Kong. TV shows. Movies. Stuff. You know, the usual.

"The Batman Part 2" is delayed. There are some really interesting movies coming this year. Matt read an unexpectedly fantastic horror novel. Justin is seeing a lot of classic films on the big screen. We really just want lots of Godzilla.

The planets haves aligned to allow us time to record again! This time around we talk about the trailers for “Deadpool & Wolverine” and “Godzilla x Kong”, some movies and shows we have watched, the casting of “Fantastic 4”, the first spy photos of the costumes from “Daredevil: Born Again” and more.

Awww yeah! We're back, bitches! After a bit of a break we are back with some of this and some of that. Movies, monsters, shows. Just kind of a stew of stuff.

This week we mostly talk about shows we have watched. Matt took the bullet for both the Geeks and watched all the episodes of season 2 of "Loki". Both of us have watched "Doom Patrol", "South Park: Joining the Panderverse", and "Rick and Morty". Justin got to see a horror classic on the big screen with a live orchestra.

Although the WGA strike has been resolved, the SAG-AFTRA strike continues which means not a ton of news, but we do talk about "Daredevil: Born Again" being taken back to formula and the new upcoming "South Park" special. Then we mostly talk about shows and movies we've been watching including "Doom Patrol", Matt's big list of Scare-A-Thon watches, Justin's "classic movies on the big screen" viewing and the new "Rick and Morty".

The boys are back and this time Matt drops a bombshell as he admits to, and describes, watching a new trash guilty pleasure TV show. Also on the agenda is the trailer for the final season of "Doom Patrol", the trailers for both the Monsterverse (Godzilla) TV show on Apple TV+ and for the upcoming "Godzilla Minus One". Plus we talk about "Asokha", "Futurama" and a few movies we have been watching.

In what we didn't even realize is our tenth anniversary episode, we catch up things we've been watching: "Futurama", "What We Do In The Shadows", "Harley Quinn" and "Ahsoka". Plus, Justin went to a horror movie landmark! And, Justin makes Matt realize something he sent him was a real movie, not just a weird art piece.

We're back to catch up on what little we have been doing. Matt finally experienced Barbenheimer, finished this season of "Strange New Worlds" and is now a fan of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". Justin saw "The Last Voyage of the Demeter" and "Talk To Me". We are still enjoying "What We Do In The Shadows", "Futurama", and "Harley Quinn".

We are finally back after a few weeks of Justin needing to work out juggling one job, then two jobs, then back to a new single job. If that sounds like work to you, imagine how it was on him! Anyway, Futurama is back, What We Do in the Shadows is back, Barbenheim struck the world but only Justin got to experience it this week and we are living in a world where not much new stuff is going to be coming very soon because major studios can't just pay their actors like they should!

Justin is officially set up in Austin and Matt can't stop picking on him for living in Texas now. Also, we watched "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny", the new season of "Human Resources", and a few other things. We briefly touch on "The Flash", which Matt saw and Justin didn't (along with, apparently, the rest of the world) and talk about some fun stuff coming up.

Justin is back for a brief moment from his trip to Texas. He tells us all about going to Texas Frightmare and his upcoming move to Austin to become a Y'allqueda Yeehawdist book burner! JK, he's not gonna let Texas ruin him. And, of course, we saw "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse"! And we talk a bit about the WGA strike and vote by SAG-AFTRA to also go on strike.

Holy news cycle, Batman! Since our last episode, we have been inundated with news and trailers galore! "The Marvels", "Secret Invasion", "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny", "The Penguin" and "Ahsoka" all got trailers we talk about. Star Wars is gassing up the movie machine again. "The Mandalorian" is still really good despite what manbabies online say. And so much more!

We kick things off with some "South Park" talk, Justin tells about the movies he watched, Matt didn't do a whole heck of a lot, Funko decides to kill the Mondo poster division like a bunch of dummies.

Justin and Matt are joined by their buddy Anthony to discuss a few geeky things including the trailer for "Evil Dead Rise", the season finale of "The Last of Us" and, yes, a spirited review of "Scream IV".

This week we talk about the last two episodes of "The Last of Us", Funko's financial fiasco, comics we've been reading, "South Park" and more.

It was a long ass break for life and the holidays, but we are BACK! We talk about the DC film slate, shows we've been watching, and just our regular ol' non-sense.

Matt has not seen all of Andor, at the time of recording was not up to date on Rick and Morty, and still hasn't seen "Wakanda Forever" or "Black Adam". So what did we talk about? Mostly "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" and "Wednesday." And Pop Figures. Haha.

In this episode we totally don't talk about James Gunn being in charge of DC Studios. We absolutely forgot. What we didn't forget is: Big Mouth, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Matt going to Montreal Toy Con, the coming of the new Black Panther film, the trailer for Ant-Man, and a couple other little things.

Matt and Justin are back to talk about the season finale of "She-Hulk", "Terrifier", "Terrifier 2", Justin's quick thoughts on "Rings of Power", "Andor" and "House of the Dragon" and the absolute disappointment that was "Halloween Ends".

Matt and Justin are back again to talk nerdy to you. Rick and Morty, She-Hulk, the new Hellraiser, comics, the latest trailers for Black Panther and Wednesday. Good week right there.

Even though this episode gets cut short by computer problems, we still manage to talk about "Rick and Morty", "Pearl", "Clerks III", comics, a little touch of "House of the Dragon" and a few other things.

Well, we're back! We went and saw the new horror film "Barbarian". We watched "What We Do in the Shadows", "Harley Quinn", and "House of the Dragon". Oh, and Matt and Justin each watched a movie on Shudder. Plus, D23 happened so there's stuff to talk about from that.

This week is kinda short. We finished up the fourth season of Westworld and watched Harley Quinn, What We Do in the Shadows and She-Hulk. Not much else.
