EP 08 - YASMEAN SIERRA LEONARD
For this week's episode I sit down with my little sis Yasmean Sierra Leonard to discuss growing up in Yonkers and the cultural impact of the area. They talk about the many talented people who have come out of Yonkers and made a name for themselves in the music industry. Yas proceeds to discuss the emotional impact and resilience she had to develop with learning of her mother being diagnosed with cancer and shortly after her boyfriend, Kiki being slain in their home by someone they both knew. She divulges how she tries to establish a new normal for her life as she is on the cusp of turning 30.

EPISODE 07 - AMBAR ALBERTO
In this conversation, Ambar and I discuss various topics related to identity, culture, and relationships. Ambar touches on growing up in New Jersey, the experience of being Afro-Latina, and the challenges of navigating multiple cultural identities. She also explores the importance of finding acceptance and the need to let go of stagnant relationships. The conversation highlights the impact of colorism and racism within communities and the importance of holding family members and peers accountable for their views. Finally, she discusses her views on marriage and relationships, and how she has grown and transformed spiritually.

EPISODE 06 - KAYLA COLINET
For this week's episode I sit down with a dear friend, Kayla. Kayla discusses her experience as a teen mom and the challenges she faced balancing motherhood and her social life. She talks about the lack of proper sex education and the impact of her environment on her rebellious teenage years. Kayla also reflects on the importance of family support and the beauty of creating a legacy through her children. In this part of the conversation, I discuss the concept of my legacy and the impact I want to have on the people I interact with. I also talk about my perspective on marriage and how my love for someone wouldn't necessarily change because we are married. Kayla shares her journey into the legal field and the highs and lows she has experienced. She also discuss the reduction of Black men at the executive level and attributes it to a desire to minimize the Black man and the attack on the Black family dynamic. In this final part of the conversation, we discuss the challenges of dating and finding success in the corporate world as a Black person. We touch on topics such as racial bias in hiring, the pressure to earn a high salary, and the importance of adaptability. Kayla also shares her thoughts on the significance of money and the value of personal growth. And as always we end the conversation with a rapid-fire round of questions.
