A Long Road Back From Paralysis

In this episode I give an update on my progress, including the fact that I have lost almost 100 pounds. I hope it will stay lost.I also cover more about Encompass Health and why I think it is a great model for the rest of the healthcare system in this country.

I continued my recovery at home, got 2 new knees and fell off a bed!

What has falling off a cliff at age 10 have to do with my current recovery? I survived that ordeal with a strong desire to live and recover. Maybe what I found at 10 helped me at 75.

Insurance kicked me out from hospital rehab in December 2024. I moved to a skilled nursing facility and remained there for 64 days.

This episode contains a lot of material, including my introduction and treatment, a dropped ball that nearly killed me, wheelchair humor, and a musical fart.

I fell and did not know I had damaged T-11 and T-12 in my spine. Things got worse and paralysis set in over time.I could not make the wedding and am still sad about that.My story continues...
