Episode 6:Part 2: Black Love: Why are the sistas single? What is our collective responsibility?

Singleness A choice for some. But an automatic default for others. It doesn’t seem fair… so how do those who want to be loved and want to share a life with someone get what they want when they’re black?! Now in all transparency in our conversation we are not saying dating is easy for everybody else but Black women! And we are not saying that black women are not or don’t get married nor are we saying that black women can’t be happy being single. In a world, however, where the statistics show that black women are considered to be the most single and/ or the most divorced group of all other women… the question arises why?! And what can be done?! Well, here at All About Errythaang, we tackle this issue and discuss this reality for so many women in our community. I do this with my best friend, Lisa aka Lis Lis! She brings an amazing insight and discusses the responsibilities that both black women and men contribute to this issue! This is part 2 on Black Love: What is our Responsibility to Each Other!! If you haven’t listen to part 1, where I interview my husband go check it out! Alright y’all let’s start the show! Trailer: Double Feature Coming Your Way

Sorry for the little hiatus…podcasting isn’t my only job yet—- Let God take care of that dream. However, I thought would only be fair to give two brand new episodes!!! Bonus Episode: Part 3: The Disillusionment of Christ: Ministering to the Pain

From accountability to knowing who we truly are in Christ. We have had history fraught with problems. But again we’re not alone. In this final segment of this series we directly confront the disillusionment of Christ! We also recommend ways to heal by only falling at the feet of Christ! It’s not an easy journey but the freedom and the unconditional love that only Christ can give is worth every step. For us, his future is brighter than any dream. So, the question is how can you minister to those in pain? Here’s part 3. Additional voices included Pastor Sammie Dow, Jr and T. K. Special Guests: Kaj and Meems. If you want to reach out to the show, please write to us at [email protected]. Look forward to your letters Errythaang Fam!

Bonus Episode: Pt. 2 The Disillusionment of Christianity: “Church Hurt” or “People Hurt?”

Part 2: “Hard- pressed on every side, yet not crushed. Perplexed, but not in despair.” What happens when this pressure, pain, opposition comes from within? But before we answer that should we consider the term, “church hurt”? As you will hear we break this down and ask ourselves is it “church hurt” or is it people hurt? People of God we have to do better! Keyword People!!!We are the ones who are letting people down. I must say I do not support and have never been affiliated with Hillsong. I literally just liked a song that their praise team won a Grammy for. I want to make this clear because I want true accountability. It saddens my heart to know of the painful experiences people have had in their walk. But I know that the true and living God is not of that in any shape or form. We continue our discussion of how “People” have hurt people in church. There are also mentions of sexual abuse. If you or someone you know is being abused please call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673 for help. If you haven’t heard part 1 of this bonus series please check it out. Bonus Episode: Pt 1: The Disillusionment of Christianity: How do you find Christ in today’s world?

Pain, Agony, Turmoil, Shame… are these words you associate with Christianity? Unfortunately for some people they have but why? There has always been two groups believers and non believers. But in some cases the latter group is receiving more converts. In this 3-part bonus series, we explore “church hurt” and how it creates disillusionment of Christianity. But we don’t leave it there because as Christians we believe that Christ never intended for this pain and if anything He can be the greatest source of comfort while seeking forgiveness and redemption. But how can you find Christ in a world that seems to not to believe in his power or his very existence? In this series, I’ll be tackling this issue with my amazing sisters Kaj and Meems! So buckle up it’s going to be a good one… Let’s start the show Errythaang Fam! Here is our response to Amber Rose’s recent comments on Christianity and Hulu’s riveting documentary, The Secret of Hillsong.

Episode 5: Black Love in All its Shades: Married, Single, and wanting to Mingle Part 1

By no means are we perfect but what God has put together let no man separate… we live by this word to the best of our ability. Taking this oath in front of God, friends and family is a big deal. Those who know… know that it can’t be taken lightly. And that it takes hard work to keep it. In a world where so many people claim to have the magic answer on how to first to become married and to stay married… you can easily get tangled up in what they say and do! Even find yourself comparing without truly understanding this key phrase: what God has for you He has for you! No, I’m no marriage expert, counselor, or any other title. I just want to again show you another layer of my identity of being a married woman. But we’re not just going to stop there because as I have researched and discussed with loved ones and friends being black and married is sometimes like an anomaly. My question is why? Black love is very precious when you understand the history. That’s why it’s so celebrated in our culture! As all love should be! But in today’s episode we’re going to explore Black love in two phases: Marriage and Being Single, we’ll also look at it from the male and female perspectives ! I’ll be joined by two amazing guests and some of my favorite people… my husband and my best friend. All right y’all let’s start the show!
