Know Your Enemy, Part 2: Satan’s Sphere and the Battle for Worship
In this second and final part of the Know Your Enemy series on the All Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul and Rebecca Turner shift the focus from Satan’s identity to his activity—his sphere of operation in the world today.Scripture reveals Satan as the traducer—the slanderer and deceiver—and his arena is this present world. Though fallen, he still exercises real influence, working through systems, cultures, and hearts in an effort to advance his ultimate agenda: to be like God and to draw worship to himself.Every scheme, every lie, every distortion in this spiritual battle serves that singular goal.Yet this episode is not about fear—it’s about clarity and confidence. While Satan is actively “playing to win,” believers are reminded of an unshakable truth: the victory has already been secured. In Christ, we are not fighting for victory, but from it.Paul and Rebecca challenge families to recognize the enemy’s influence, stand firm in their God-given identity, and live daily in the reality of His all-consuming grace. You know your enemy—now live like you know your victory.

Redeeming the Time: Are You Spending Your Life or Investing It?
On this episode of the The Guide Service Podcast, host Paul Turner takes a sobering and practical look at one of the most valuable—and most easily wasted—resources God has given us: time.If the average man lives 79 years, that’s over 700,000 hours and billions of heartbeats. But where does it all go? Between sleep, work, screens, and daily routines, it’s easy to lose sight of what really matters. Scripture calls us to “redeem the time” (Ephesians 5:16), but what does that actually look like in everyday life?Paul walks through key passages like Romans 12:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:11, and Colossians 3:23–24 to challenge the idea that busyness equals godliness. Instead, he shifts the focus to obedience, purpose, and the good works we were created for (Ephesians 2:10).Then comes a surprising and powerful question: Was Jesus lazy?Looking at moments like Jesus sleeping in the storm (Mark 4:35–41) and intentionally withdrawing from the crowds, this episode confronts our modern obsession with constant activity. Jesus was never rushed, never distracted, and never outside the will of the Father—even when that meant resting. With clarity from passages like Psalm 127:1–2 and 1 Samuel 15:22, this episode draws a sharp line between being busy and being faithful. You’ll be challenged to evaluate where your time is going, what God has actually called you to do, and how to live with intentional, obedient purpose.Because at the end of the day, it’s not about doing more—it’s about doing what matters. Are you spending your life… or investing it?

Know Your Enemy: From Lucifer’s Fall to Satan’s Influence Today
In this episode of the All Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul and Rebecca Turner take a sobering and necessary look at the reality of our spiritual enemy. Titled “Know Your Enemy,” this conversation explores who Satan was as Lucifer and who he is today in his fallen state.Walking through Scripture, Paul and Rebecca unpack the various names given to Satan—names that don’t just identify him, but expose the depth of his corrupted character. Once created in beauty and purpose, Lucifer’s pride led to a devastating fall—morally, vocationally, and eternally. That same pride still defines his work today. But this isn’t just theology—it’s deeply practical. You can see the imprint of his character all over our world and culture. Even more concerning, that same imprint can show up in the lives of believers when pride, deception, and self-exaltation take root. This episode is a call to awareness and discernment. If we are going to live as families shaped by God’s all-consuming grace, we must recognize the enemy’s strategies, resist his influence, and walk humbly before the Lord.Know your enemy—so you can stand firm in the grace that defines your victory.

Redeeming the Time: Waking Up to What Matters
In this episode of The Guide Service, Paul Turner challenges men to take an honest look at how they are spending the one resource they can never get back—time.Rooted in Ephesians 5:16, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil,” this conversation goes beyond surface-level productivity and into biblical awareness. What does it actually mean to redeem the time? It’s more than staying busy—it’s about living awake. It’s about walking with your eyes open, aware of what truly matters in a world constantly competing for your attention.Paul confronts the quiet drift many men fall into—not intentional rebellion, but distraction, passivity, and a failure to step back and ask: Is this what God has called me to give my life to?Using the popular phrase, “Your 9 to 5 pays the bills. Your 5 to 9 builds the empire,” Paul puts this mindset up against the authority of Scripture. Is it simply a call to diligence—or does it subtly shift our focus toward financial responsibilities while neglecting other God given responsibilities? To ground the discussion, Paul points to the example of Nehemiah, who returned to Jerusalem and led the rebuilding of the wall in just 52 days. Nehemiah was not distracted. He was not passive. He was focused, prayerful, and relentlessly committed to the responsibility God had placed in front of him. He was a man who got up and got after it—redeeming his time with clarity, conviction, and purpose. This episode calls men to:Wake up to the time they’ve been givenLook carefully at how they walkAlign their lives with eternal prioritiesBecause redeeming the time isn’t about building your empire—it’s about faithfully carrying the responsibility God has entrusted to you.

Grace That Restores Over Time: When the Story Isn’t Finished Yet
In this final episode of Difficult Relationships: When Grace Becomes Visible, Paul and Rebecca Turner bring the series full circle by exploring one of the most powerful—and often overlooked—stories of relational restoration in Scripture. There was a time when Paul refused to take John Mark along for the work of the ministry. The disagreement was sharp. The partnership fractured. A door closed. But that wasn’t the end of the story.Years later, from a prison cell, Paul writes words no one would have expected: “Take Mark… for he is profitable to me for the ministry.”What changed? In this episode, Paul and Rebecca unpack how grace works not just in moments—but over time. Grace allows for growth. Grace makes room for maturity. Grace gives us the humility to revisit past decisions and the courage to see people not just for who they were, but for who God is shaping them to become. If grace has truly consumed us, it will show up in how we handle complicated histories, strained relationships, and people we once wrote off.Because the story isn’t finished. And neither are we.If grace has consumed us, who will be different because of us.

No More Passivity: A Declaration of War
In Episode 5 of Guide Service, Paul Turner draws a hard line in the sand—this is a declaration of war against passivity.Passivity is not harmless. It is not neutral. It is not humility. It is often disobedience dressed up as comfort, fear, or delay. And if we are going to walk honestly (Romans 13:13), then we must confront it wherever it hides—in our homes, our leadership, our decisions, and our spiritual lives. This episode centers on the powerful real-life example of Ed Pulaski, a U.S. Forest Ranger in the Bitterroot Mountains during the devastating Great Fire of 1910—a fire that consumed nearly three million acres in a matter of days.Faced with overwhelming danger, Pulaski did not freeze. He did not retreat into passivity. He chose responsibility. He led his men into a mine shaft, held the line under extreme pressure, and saved lives through decisive, courageous action. That moment wasn’t accidental—it was the product of a man who understood responsibility. The question for us is unavoidable:When the moment comes—do we step forward, or do we shrink back?Paul challenges men to examine the subtle ways passivity creeps in:Silence when truth should be spokenDelay when action is requiredComfort when conviction is neededThis is not a call to reckless action—it is a call to biblical manhood. To live awake. To live engaged. To live responsible before God.Because the truth is simple:Passive men don’t shape the world. Faithful men do.It’s time to root it out.The Big Burn: Teddy Roosevelt and the Fire that Saved America: Egan, Timothy: 9780547394602: Amazon.com: Books

Grace That Pays the Price: When Peacemaking Costs You Something
In Part 6 of the Difficult Relationships: When Grace Becomes Visible series, Paul and Rebecca Turner walk through the deeply personal letter of Philemon, exploring therelationship between the Apostle Paul, Philemon, and Onesimus. This episode centers on a striking moment of grace in action: Paul willingly steps in to absorb the cost of Onesimus’ wrong doing. Rather than simply preserving peace, Paul models true peace making by entering into the tension, taking on the debt, and working toward restoration.Drawing from the book, “Whatever Happened to Penny Candy?” by Richard Maybury, Paul highlights the acronymT.I.N.S.T.A.A.F.L.—“There Is No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.” And the simple principle it teaches. Someone always pays. In the gospel, Christ paid our debt in full.In the letter to Philemon, Paul reflects that same grace by offering to pay the debt of Onesimus. What does this mean for us?In our families and churches, real grace is costly. It may require us to stand in grace for others, even to the point of absorbing the offense or pursuing reconciliation when it would be easier to walk away. This episode challenges listeners to move beyond keeping the peace—and instead become instruments of Christlike peace making.Because when grace becomes visible, it doesn’t just restore relationships—it reflects the heart of the gospel.

Thinking Biblically in a Shameless Age
In this episode of the Guide Service Podcast, Paul Turner takes on a thought-provoking cultural moment sparked by an article from Sojourners magazine titled, “The Moral Lesson from Last Week’s ‘Blue Wave,’” written by Managing Editor Tyler Huckabee. While Paul disagrees with Huckabee’s overall application, he highlights a sobering truth at the heart of the article: we are living in a time when people—especially leaders—have “forgotten how to blush.” Drawing from Jeremiah 6:15, Paul challenges men to consider what it means to lose any sense of shame before God.To deepen the conversation, Paul walks through Jeremiah 5 to provide critical context, revealing a broader picture of a nation steeped in rebellion and spiritual blindness. He pushes listeners to wrestle with a difficult but necessary realization: by today’s politically charged standards, even God’s own words in Scripture would be misunderstood, misrepresented, or labeled antisemitic. This episode is not about politics—it’s about perspective. Paul calls men to rise above the noise, reject shallow thinking, and commit to a biblical worldview that shapes how they live, think, and walk in integrity. In a world that no longer blushes, will you?Paul closes with a direct challenge: don’t let cultural numbness dull your conscience. Instead, allow God to convict your heart, anchor you in truth, and transform the way you live.

When Grace Creates Loyalty
In this weeks All Consuming Grace Podcast, hosts Paul and Rebecca Turner continue with part 5 in the series “Difficult Relationships: When Grace Becomes Visible "with a powerful turning point. After walking through the pain, fractures, and realities of broken relationships in previous episodes, this conversation shifts the focus forward. What happens when God’s all-consuming grace not only heals—but binds hearts together in something deeper than natural connection?Paul and Rebecca explore how grace forms a profound bond among those who are fully surrendered to what God is doing. This is not surface-level friendship or convenient companionship. It is a Spirit-forged loyalty—one that often surpasses even familial ties. When believers walk in shared surrender, shared purpose, and shared grace, they find themselves drawn into relationships marked by trust, defense, and unwavering commitment. This episode highlights how grace moves us beyond survival mode and into intentional connection. Instead of being defined by past wounds, we begin to recognize and pursue the relationships God is building in the present. These are the people we stand with, fight for, and remain faithful to—not because it is easy, but because grace has made it necessary. As the series reaches this pivotal moment, Paul and Rebecca remind listeners that God’s grace doesn’t just restore what was broken—it creates something entirely new. A loyalty rooted in Him. A closeness shaped by surrender. A fellowship that reflects the very heart of Christ. This is the beauty of all-consuming grace: it doesn’t just heal relationships—it redefines them.

This World Should NOT be Worthy of You— Courage, Conviction, and the Faith of Hebrews 11
In this second episode of The Guide Service, Paul Turner takes listeners into one of the most powerful passages about faith in the Bible—Hebrews 11. Known as the “Faith Chapter,” it introduces us to men whose lives were marked by deep conviction and courageous obedience.Paul begins with the foundation: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1, KJV). What does it really mean that faith is substance? In this episode, Paul explores the idea that substance is not passive belief—it is courage. Real faith produces the courage to stand on truth even when the outcome cannot yet be seen. The men highlighted in Hebrews 11—Abel, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and others—lived with such conviction that Scripture ultimately says something remarkable about them: “the world was not worthy” of them. Their faith shaped their actions, their decisions, and the direction of their lives. That raises a searching question for every man listening:Does your life show the kind of faith and conviction that makes the world unworthy of you?Paul challenges the community of men listening to examine whether their lives truly reflect the faith they claim to hold.Along the way, he introduces a vision for The Guide Service itself. Like King Arthur gathering his knights to the round table for counsel and accountability, this podcast is meant to be more than something you passively listen to. It is meant to become our counsel table…our counsel ring—a place where men think together, challenge one another, and sharpen their convictions.Because faith that has substance produces men who live with courage. And the real question is this:Is the world worthy of you?

The Guide Service – Thinking Like Men of the Word
The All Consuming Grace Channel began with Paul and Rebecca Turner’s conversations about the transforming power of God’s grace. Now, a new podcast with a new focus joins the channel.Welcome to The Guide Service, a podcast hosted by Paul Turner and dedicated to challenging men to think biblically so they can live honestly and faithfully before God. Scripture calls men to “walk honestly, as in the day” (Romans 13:13, KJV). But honest living does not happen by accident—it begins with honest thinking shaped by the Word of God.In this podcast, Paul lays out the future of these podcasts where he will take listeners on a guided journey through the lives of men in Scripture. Some were courageous and faithful. Others failed in painful and public ways. Yet every story teaches us something about what it means to follow God as a man. Together we will examine what they did well, where they went wrong, and what their lives reveal about faith, leadership, responsibility, and integrity. We will also step outside the pages of history and look carefully at the world around us. Like the sons of Issachar, who had “understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do” (I Chronicles 12:32, KJV), men today must learn to think clearly about the culture, the pressures, and the challenges of our day. This is not a podcast about winning arguments or proving ourselves right. It is about learning to think rightly so we can live rightly.Join us for The Guide Service, where we look to Scripture, history, and the present moment to challenge the way we think—and to become the men God calls us to be.

Grace That Rewrites the Story of Our Pain
In Episode 4 of the All Consuming Grace Podcast series “Difficult Relationships: When Grace Becomes Visible,” Paul and Rebecca explore one of the most powerful ways grace works in our lives—it rewrites the story of our pain. When we experience betrayal or deep hurt, it’s easy for those moments to define the narrative of our lives. Left in our own perspective, painful experiences often lead to bitterness, resentment, or a sense that something has been permanently lost. But Scripture shows us that God is able to do something far greater. In this episode, Paul and Rebecca look at the life of Joseph and the betrayal he suffered at the hands of his own brothers. What seemed like the destruction of his future—being sold into slavery and separated from his family—became the very path God used to accomplish His greater purpose. Twenty years later, Joseph confronts the reality of what happened, yet he sees it through a completely different lens, declaring in Genesis 50:20 (KJV), “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good.”Grace does not require us to forget what happened or pretend the pain wasn’t real. Instead, grace teaches us to see our story from God’s point of view. When we look only through our own perspective, wounds often produce bitterness. But when we begin to see how God works through even the most painful moments, those same experiences can become evidence of His providence and purpose.Join Paul and Rebecca as they discuss how God can transform betrayal into testimony, pain into purpose, and why seeing our story through the lens of grace can fill us with hope and anticipation that God is still working all things for good.

Grace That Confronts Failure
Grace is one of the most beautiful words in the Christian life—but it is also one of the most misunderstood. Many people think grace means ignoring sin, overlooking failure, or giving someone a pass when things go wrong. But that kind of grace doesn’t actually restore anyone. In this episode of the All Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul and Rebecca Turner talk about how grace really works according to Scripture. Looking at the powerful moment between Jesus and Peter in John 21, they explore how Christ lovingly confronted Peter after his threefold denial. Jesus didn’t ignore Peter’s failure, and He didn’t pretend it never happened. Instead, He addressed it directly—with truth, compassion, and purpose.Real grace does not avoid hard conversations. It moves toward them. Grace exposes failure so that restoration can begin. Avoiding confrontation might feel easier, but it does not redeem the failure or restore the person who has fallen. The good news is that failure is not the end of the story. God is not finished with us when we fail. In fact, He often uses our failures as the very place where His grace becomes most visible. Because God sees more than our worst moments—He sees the faithfulness He intends to produce in us.Join Paul and Rebecca as they discuss the biblical definition of grace and why understanding it correctly changes how we handle failure, relationships, and restoration. Grace isn’t about giving people a pass—it’s about bringing people back.Grace is a beautiful thing. Let’s not avoid it. Let’s embrace it.

Restored Before We Restore: When Grace Rebuilds the Relationship
In this second episode of Difficult Relationships: When Grace Becomes Visible, Paul and Rebecca explore a foundational truth: before we can restore others, we must first be restoredourselves.Turning to John chapters 18 and 21, Paul and Rebecca walk through Peter’s devastating denial and Christ’s gracious restoration. In John 18, Peter denies Jesus three times…backto back to back. This should serve as a sobering reminder that we all fail. But in John 21, Jesus does not discard Peter.Instead, He confronts him with a question that reaches beyond behavior to the heart: “Do you love Me?”Jesus begins the conversation by reestablishingthe relationship. What would it look like if we followed that pattern? When confronting our child, a spouse, a brother or sister in Christ—do we begin with the relationship? Do we remember that restoration flows from love, not frustration? As Jesus presses Peter with the repeated question, “Do you love Me?”, Peter is grieved. Yet his grief is not rejection—it is grace at work. As II Corinthians 7:9 says, “Ye sorrowed to repentance.” Godly sorrow leads to change.Paul and Rebecca discuss how God’s grace must first teach us. If grace is not shaping our own hearts, we can quickly become harsh, critical, and bitter in our difficult relationships. Whether or not grace seems to be working in “the other person,” it must be working in us.Before you seek to restore someone else, allowChrist to restore you.Grace becomes visible when it first becomes personal.

When Relationships Break: Why We Need All-Consuming Grace
Series: Difficult Relationships: When Grace Becomes Visible Part 1Broken relationships are not the exception—they are the human experience. In this opening episode of our new series, Paul and Rebecca Turner begin at the very beginning. Before there were fractured marriages, strained parent-child dynamics, or siblings who no longer speak, there was a garden. In the book of Genesis, mankind’s relationship with God was shattered by sin. When Adam and Eve fell, fellowship was broken—and every human relationship since has felt the ripple effects. From there, the fracture spreads. Adam and Eve turn on one another. Cain’s jealousy and resentment erupt in violence against Abel. Later, Joseph’s brothers betray him out of envy. Throughout Scripture, we see the same patterns we see in our homes today: jealousy, disappointment, betrayal, failure, unmet expectations, wounded pride. Why do relationships break?Sometimes it is resentment.Sometimes it is betrayal.Sometimes someone fails us.Sometimes we fail them.Sometimes we simply feel we deserved more. But here is the hope that frames this entire series: when relationships break, grace has an opportunity to become visible.Paul and Rebecca take us to Romans 5:10, where we are reminded that when we were enemies, Christ died for us. God did not wait for reconciliation to begin grace. He moved toward us in the middle of hostility. He demonstrated all-consuming grace. We cannot cheapen grace. When we minimize grace, we miss its transforming power. We never get to see what grace does in betrayal, what grace does when loyalty is tested, what grace does when we feel overlooked or wronged. What does grace do when a marriage feels strained? What does grace do between siblings who carry old wounds? What does grace do in parent-child relationships marked by disappointment?God’s grace works—but it works on His timeline. In this foundational episode, Paul and Rebecca lay the groundwork for a journey through difficult relationships, especially within families and marriages. Because when grace becomes visible in the places that hurt the most, it doesn’t just repair relationships—it reveals the heart of God.Join us as we begin exploring what happens when relationships break… and grace steps in.

The Mind of Christ: Faithful Service and the Cure for Contention (Part 2)
In part two of this study in Philippians, Paul and Rebecca Turner move from the call to humility to the clear, practical traits of a humble servant. Drawing from Philippians 2, this episode is not an invitation to critique others, but a gracious challenge to examine our own hearts. Are we the kind of believers others are encouraged to labor alongside—or someone they feel they must work around?Together, they walk through the identifying marks of Christlike humility. A humble servant is a joy to work with, demonstrates genuine love, and does not strive for personal gain or recognition. They lift others above themselves, serve selflessly, and willingly do what needs to be done without seeking titles, accolades, or attention. Their spirit is free from murmuring and arguing, and their life is lived above reproach because their ultimate aim is the glory of Christ—the only One worthy of glory.Paul and Rebecca also emphasize that humble service flows from a life shaped by the Word of Christ. This is more than knowledge; it is truth that transforms how we live, love, and serve. At its core, a humble servant does not focus on self but on Christ, and therefore on others. This kind of humility is often cultivated in the home, as parents model servant-hearted living for their children, giving them a living example to follow as they grow in Christ.

he Mind of Christ: Faithful Service and the Cure for Contention (Part 1)
In this first part of a two-part conversation, hosts Paul and Rebecca Turner turn their attention to the church at Philippi—a fellowship known for its faithful, joyful service to the Lord. Yet even in a healthy, serving church, spiritual opposition was at work. The Apostle Paul warned the Philippians about false teachers and the very real danger of strife arising between brothers and sisters in Christ. This episode explores how these threats were not merely behavioral or organizational problems, but spiritual ones that required a spiritual response. Rules, pressure, and threats cannot cure spiritual contention. Instead, Paul points the church to the only true remedy: humble service. Through the example of Jesus Christ—the ultimate humble servant—we are reminded that unity flows from having the mind of Christ. As Paul and Rebecca unpack these truths, listeners are challenged to examine their own hearts, their relationships within the body of Christ, and the posture with which they serve. True faithfulness is protected not by control, but by Christlike humility.

The Secret of Harmony Part 3: Aggressive Benevolence
Part 3 of the “Secret of Harmony” SeriesHarmony in relationships ultimately finds its fullest expression through love—but not a passive or conditional love. In Part 3 of this series, Paul and Rebecca Turner introduce the powerful concept of “aggressive benevolence”—a love modeled perfectly by Christ and made possible through a life fully surrendered to the Holy Spirit.Jesus demonstrated aggressive benevolence toward us through a sacrificial love, a sanctified love, a selfless love, a satisfying love, and a spiritually enriching love. This was not reactive love; it was intentional, initiating, and redemptive. As the Holy Spirit transforms our surrendered lives, we are called to display that same Christlike love toward others in our homes, workplaces, and everyday relationships. When believers choose to love as Christ loved—regardless of circumstances—harmony becomes more than an ideal; it becomes a lived reality. This final episode ties together surrender, spiritual fruit, and active love as the complete picture of relational harmony.

The Secret of Harmony Part 2: The Evidence is Fruit
Part 2 of the “Secret of Harmony” SeriesTrue harmony in our homes and in our workplaces does not come from external pressure, rules, or control imposed from the outside. In Part 2 of this series, Paul and Rebecca Turner emphasize a vital truth: the control of the Holy Spirit is an internal work of God that produces fruit, not an external workof self that appears right and fruitful. When a believer fully surrenders to the Holy Spirit, that surrender produces visible and relational fruit. Drawing from Ephesians 5:19-21, this episode explores the clear evidence of a Spirit-controlled life—a singing heart, a thankful heart, and a submissive heart. These qualities are not manufactured; they naturally flow from a heart yielded to Christ.Relationships thrive when this fruit is present. Harmony becomes possible because it is not difficult to live or workwith those who consistently display joy, gratitude, and humility. These Spirit-produced qualities create an environment where unity can grow and conflict loses its power.

The Secret of Harmony Part 1: Surrendering to the Holy Spirit
Part 1 of the “Secret of Harmony” SeriesIn a world marked by conflict, division, and heartbreak, everyone is searching for harmony—at home, at work, and in relationships. But the answer the world is chasing can never be found through better communication techniques, stronger personalities, or sheer effort alone. In Part 1 of this three-part series, Paul and Rebecca Turner reveal the true and often overlooked secret to harmony: full surrender to the control, headship, and authority of the Holy Spirit. Scripture makes it clear that lasting harmony is impossible without yielding every area of our lives to Him.This episode lays the foundation for healthy, Christ-centered relationships by challenging listeners to examine who is truly in control. When all parties involved are submitted to the Holy Spirit, harmony becomes possible—not because we try harder, but because He leads fully. This conversation sets the stage for understanding how Spirit-led surrender transforms relationships and becomes the only path to genuine peace, unity, and harmony.

When Service Replaces Simplicity
In this episode of the All Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul and Rebecca Turner invite listeners to slow down and rediscover the simplicity that is found in Christ. Drawing from the Apostle Paul’s warning to the Corinthians, they explore the real danger of being corrupted or distracted from sincere devotion to Christ—even while actively serving Him.Through the familiar account of Mary and Martha in Luke 10, this conversation challenges a common assumption in Christian life: that service to the Lord is the pinnacle of faithfulness. While service is good and necessary, Jesus’ gentle correction reveals a deeper truth—time spent with Him must always come before work done for Him.Paul and Rebecca unpack how grace calls us first to abide, not strive; to sit at His feet before we ever stand to serve. True service, they remind us, should never replace intimacy with Christ but should flow naturally from a life rooted in grace and simplicity. This episode encourages believers to examine whether busyness, ministry, or even well-intended service has crowded out devotion—and to return to a life consumed by Christ, not activity.

Outside the Norm: Following Jesus Christ in Humble Obedience
It’s a new year and a new episode of the All Consuming Grace Podcast, and Paul and Rebecca Turner turn their attention to Luke 19 and the familiar yet often overlooked events of the Triumphal Entry.Rather than focusing solely on the crowd or the King riding into Jerusalem, this episode zooms in on the people involved—especially the two unnamed disciples Jesus sent to retrieve a colt. Their simple, unquestioning obedience becomes the centerpiece of a powerful challenge: be a “horse thief.”These men acted with humble obedience to Jesus’ word, even when the instruction seemed strange, uncomfortable, or risky. Their obedience mattered. It impacted others. It stirred excitement. And it ultimately served the glory of God.But not everyone celebrated. As always, there were those who were bothered—those who preferred “the way things have always been done.” Paul and Rebecca explore how this tension still exists within Christianity today, where humble obedience can unsettle the comfortable and expose the resistance of the so-called “normies.”This episode calls believers to examine their own response to God’s Word. Obedience may be terrifying to some, but it is always transformative. When we humbly obey, God is glorified, lives are changed, and God's work moves forward. Will you stay safe within the norm—or will you be obedient enough to "steal a horse" for Jesus?

Peace in the Pressure: Standing Firm in a World That Grinds You Down
In Part 3 of our December series on Peace, Paul and Rebecca Turner turn to Philippians 4 to address a reality every believer knows well—life often feels like a meat grinder. The pressure, noise, conflict, responsibilities, and anxieties of this world have a way of pulling us in and wearing us down. Yet in the middle of that grinding, God offers something the world cannot: His peace. This episode carefully walks through the process the Apostle Paul lays out for experiencing the fullness of the peace of God—a peace that is not accidental, emotional, or circumstantial, but intentional, rooted, and guarded by Christ Himself.Paul and Rebecca begin by reminding listeners that peace starts with perspective. When our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20), our eyes must remain fixed on Christ rather than the chaos around us. From there, believers are called to stand fast in the Lord (Philippians 4:1), refusing to be moved by pressure, opposition, or confusion. The conversation then turns to the importance of knowing God’s Word and handling it rightly—understanding truth in its proper context (Philippians 4:2). Peace erodes when truth is misunderstood or misapplied, but it flourishes when God’s Word anchors our thinking. This grounding allows believers to stay focused on the work God has placed before them and the people He has placed around them to minister to (Philippians 4:3), rather than becoming consumed by distractions or personal conflicts. From there, Paul and Rebecca emphasize the call to rejoice in the Lord always (Philippians 4:4)—not because life is easy, but because Christ is faithful. True peace flows from joy that is anchored in the Lord, not circumstances. That joy is meant to be visible, as believers allow their identity in Christ to be evident to others through gentleness, consistency, and grace (Philippians 4:5).The episode then addresses one of the greatest enemies of peace: worry. Rather than carrying anxiety, believers are invited to release it—to let God deal with what is beyond their control (Philippians 4:6). This surrender leads naturally into prayer, where every concern is brought before God, trusting Him to work according to His wisdom and timing. As this process unfolds, Paul and Rebecca point listeners to the promise at the heart of Philippians 4—that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Even in a world that feels like a relentless grinder, God provides a peace that protects, sustains, and steadies His people. This episode offers both encouragement and practical biblical guidance for anyone longing to experience real peace—not as a fleeting feeling, but as a daily reality in Christ.

Peace with God: From the Manger to the Cross
In episode two of our Christmas series on peace, Paul and Rebecca Turner turn our attention to the most essential peace of all—peace with God. Long before the angels sang, peace was shattered in the Garden of Eden when sin entered the world, creating a separation no human effort could repair. This episode traces the connection between the Babe in the manger and the Man on the cross, reminding us that Christmas cannot be fully understood apart from Calvary. Jesus was born as Peace incarnate so that, through His death, burial, and resurrection, sinners could be reconciled to a holy God.Paul and Rebecca explore how the angelic announcement of peace was not sentimental or symbolic, but deeply redemptive—declaring that the way back to God had arrived. As we continue toward Christmas, this episode invites listeners to move beyond the scene of the stable and embrace the Savior who came to restore what was lost, offering lasting peace with God through faith in Christ alone.

On Earth, Peace — What the Angels Really Announced
In this first episode of our December Christmas series on peace, Paul and Rebecca Turner open the season by tackling one of the most common misunderstandings of the Christmas story. Many people assume the angels proclaimed “peace on earth,” promising a world without conflict or struggle. But Scripture actually says something far more profound: “on earth peace.”In this conversation, Paul and Rebecca unpack the true meaning of the angels’ announcement in Luke 2:14, exploring why it could not have meant global political peace or a trouble-free world—and they offer more than a dozen biblical, theological, and practical reasons explaining why. Instead of a promise to remove conflict, the angels declared the arrival of the One who brings peace with God, peace within, and peace that sustains us even in chaos. As we begin this month-long journey toward Christmas, join us in rediscovering the deeper, sturdier peace Christ brought into a broken world—peace available not because the world is calm, but because Christ has come.

Passive No More: God’s Call to Courageous Action
In this episode of The All Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul takes aim at one of the most subtle yet dangerous enemies of our faith—passivity. Too many believers have become content to “believe quietly,” but God calls us to be doers of the Word, not hearers only. Drawing from early American history, Paul reveals how—even on the eve of the Revolution—nearly two-thirds of colonists remained silent and submissive to the Crown despite their discontent. That same spirit of passivity still lingers in today’s church.Paul challenges men and all Christians to stand firm in biblical conviction, lead their homes with courage, and engage culture with faith in action. This episode is a wake-up call to every Christian who knows the truth but struggles to live it boldly.Tune in and rediscover what it means to walk out your faith with conviction, courage, and grace.

Weaponized Grace, Part 4: Forgiving as Christ Forgave
In this deeply thought-provoking episode of the All Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul and Rebecca Turner take a courageous look at one of the most misunderstood topics in the Christian life—forgiveness. Continuing their Weaponized Grace series, they challenge the popular idea of “just forgiving because Christ forgave,” and instead explore what it truly means to forgive as Christ forgave—with wisdom, truth, and discernment.Their discussion is prompted in part by the powerful example of Erica Kirk, who publicly forgave the suspected murderer of her late husband, Charlie Kirk, during his memorial service. Paul and Rebecca reflect on that moment, along with their own experiences of walking through seasons where well-meaning believers urged them to forgive quickly—while they longed to do it biblically and with integrity.Prepare to be challenged and encouraged as they unpack what real, Christlike forgiveness looks like. This episode will help you rethink how grace and truth work together in the healing process—and how this understanding can transform your marriage, parenting, friendships, and every close relationship. If you’ve ever struggled with the question, “What does true forgiveness look like?”—this conversation is for you.

Weaponized Grace, Part 3: Confronting Abuse & Establishing Biblical Boundaries
In this crucial episode of the All Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul and Rebecca Turner tackle one of the hardest—but most necessary—topics in their Weaponized Grace series: confronting abuse and abusers. Too often, those suffering under manipulation or control are told to simply “extend grace” or “forgive as Christ forgave,” without accountability for the abuser or protection from further abuse. But what if that’s a distorted view of grace—one that actually enables further abuse?Paul and Rebecca unpack how a false understanding of grace has been used to silence victims, protect abusers, and fracture families. Through Scripture, they reveal how true grace—God’s transforming, truth-filled grace—never excuses sin or overlooks harm. The episode concludes with the wisdom of Psalm 101, where David models healthy biblical boundaries: protecting himself from abusers, guarding his own heart from becoming abusive, and surrounding himself with faithful, trustworthy people. This is a must-listen for anyone seeking healing, spiritual clarity, and stronger, grace-filled relationships. Learn how to stand firm in truth, walk in real grace, and build a home rooted in God’s righteousness and safety.

Weaponized Grace, Part 2: How Abusers Operate
In this episode of the All-Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul and Rebecca Turner continue their eye-opening series, Weaponized Grace. Drawing from the honesty of Psalm 41 and Psalm 56, they reveal the most common tactics abusers use—tactics that often show up in homes, marriages, friendships, and even churches.Understanding how abusers operate is the first step toward protecting your family, strengthening your relationships, and breaking unhealthy cycles. But Paul and Rebecca get more pointed: they invite you to honestly examine your own life to ensure you’re not unintentionally using these destructive patterns with the people you love most.If you care about healthy families, safe relationships, and living out God’s grace in practical ways, this episode will equip and encourage you. Don’t miss this important conversation on recognizing abuse, guarding your home, and choosing grace-driven love over manipulation and control.

Weaponized Grace: When God’s Gift Gets Twisted (Part 1 – What Is Abuse?)
Abuse is real. It is destructive. And far too often, it hides behind religious language and misapplied Scripture. In this eye-opening series, Paul and Rebecca Turner of the All Consuming Grace Podcast confront the hard realities of abuse in the church, in relationships, and in families.Part 1 begins with the crucial question: What is abuse? From the pages of Scripture, they highlight examples of spiritual, emotional, psychological, physical, sexual, and relational abuse, showing how these patterns have existed since the beginning. But the heart of this conversation goes even deeper: how the very message of God’s grace—given to teach us how to live (Titus 2:11–12)—has sometimes been weaponized against victims, silencing their pain and excusing the abuser. Paul and Rebecca bring biblical clarity and compassionate truth, exposing lies that keep people in bondage and pointing back to the true purpose of grace: freedom, healing, and godly living. If you’ve ever asked questions like:What does the Bible really say about abuse? How can grace be twisted into a tool of control?Where does God stand when abuse happens?…then this episode is for you. Join the conversation and be equipped to see abuse through the lens of truth, not distortion.

Why the Church Has Lost Its Way: When Grace Becomes Just Information
In this controversial episode of the All Consuming Grace Podcast, hosts Paul and Rebecca follow up to the question raised in episode 21: Has the church lost its way? Today, we uncover WHY the church has lost its way. Together, we expose how, many churches have too often reduced grace to an academic exercise—turning the life-changing truth of the gospel into nothing more than information to be debated. Sadly, believers use Scripture and key passages to back up this notion. We further reveal how this mindset has stripped the church of its power. The grace of God is not just information to be known—it is the very work of the Holy Spirit consuming us and transforming our lives. If you’ve ever wondered why the church feels powerless, this conversation will open your eyes to the difference between knowing about grace and being consumed by it.

Has the Church Lost Its Way?
Has the church drifted from God’s design and lost its way? In this episode of All Consuming Grace, Paul and Rebecca ask two crucial questions every believer must wrestle with:1️⃣ Are we guilty of seeking messages that only “scratch our itching ears” (II Timothy 4:3)—gravitating to grace buzzwords and phrases—while ignoring the transforming power of God’s Word?2️⃣ Are we guilty of running the church the world’s way? Have we traded God's simple and straightforward design for the Body of Christ for the “5 B’s”—buildings, budgets, business, bringing people in, and boards—things God never intended or instituted? This challenging conversation calls us to reexamine the churches we attend, ask hard questions, and be honest with ourselves if we truly desire lasting change. True grace doesn’t just comfort—it CONSUMES!

Consumed By Grace is Counter to Every Culture Part 4
This is the last episode in our four-part series. We dig into the idea of being like Titus no matter what anyone around us is doing. It does not matter what the culture of the world is like or what the culture of the church is like. Your life is to adorn the teaching of God in every area.

Consumed by Grace is Counter to Every Culture Part 3
In this episode we delve into how the younger women and men need the older women and men to invest in their lives. Those young people don't need criticism, but rather the transfer of knowledge in a grace filled loving way. It needs to be modeled so the next generation knows what it looks like to live counter-culturally!We also touch on the truth that the only way this cross-generational process can take place is by both generations stepping out in humility and grace...looking to invest and looking to be invested in.

Consumed by Grace is Counter to Every Culture Part 2
In this episode, we address the need and responsibility of the older generation of men and women to be so consumed and transformed by grace. So often, that is just not the case. They grow old and check out of their God given responsibilities. They don't demonstrate a life consumed by grace. We need examples to follow. We need examples that raise the standard. We need men and women who are humbly obedient to the call of Titus 2:2 -3 on their life.

Consumed by Grace is Counter to Every Culture Part 1
Are you consumed by grace? Then you already know what counter-cultural looks like. For the rest of us, this is a wake-up. It is a call to stand up, raise the standard, and charge into this world leading those who dare to follow. In this episode we address the cultures that we may find ourselves standing against. You will find the culture of Crete in the first century had many parallels to the culture in which we find ourselves surround. If Titus was without excuse, then so are we! Let us be consumed by His All-consuming grace and not by the culture seeking to consume us!

What is a Man?
In this episode, we discuss God's qualifications for manhood. Surprisingly, those qualifications have nothing to do with the world's definition of a man. When you have as many daughters as we have, it is important to establish early, what you are looking for in the men you want them to marry. While all of these qualifications are essential, we both agree there is one that matters most to us.

Grace in Relationships
Sometimes, Christians can be the most ungracious people I know. The Grace of God should transform us, and when it does, it really shouldn't matter what our position or place is in the relationship. We should handle ourselves with grace. We should walk in wisdom, and our words should ALWAYS be with grace and seasoned with salt. If your attitude toward others does not reflect the transformational power of grace in your life, maybe it is time to take some time and reflect on whether you truly understand grace.

Grace in Marriage Part 2
In this episode we look at how we too could be guilty of redefining marriage by NOT living according to grace principles. If we are redefining marriage, the bigger problem is that we are also guilty of showing the world a faulty example of the relationship with Christ and the church. Consider the implications of showing the world that faulty example. People's eternities hang in the balance. That brings up another question. Why do we redefine marriage when God made it so simple?

Raised in Grace Part 2
Relationships are the window into each person's relationship with Christ. We may know a lot of Bible stuff for which we are thankful and proud, but it is the relationship with our Savior that is evidenced in our relationship with others. The parent child relationship is probably the relationship that most exposes the relationship the parent has with their Savior. Join us as we discuss raising our children in grace so we can all bring glory to God through these relationships.
