If Your Mind Feels Heavy… Read This | The Daily Stoic

If your mind feels heavy… baka ito na ‘yung libro na kailangan mo. The Daily Stoic became my quiet safe space during some of my toughest days. It reminds you to slow down, to breathe, and to let go of things you can’t control.Honestly, dito rin nagsimula ‘yung love ko for reading—during the pandemic. And out of all the books I picked up, this one really stayed with me. It grounded me when everything felt uncertain. So if you’re feeling tired, lost, or mentally drained… try mo lang magbasa kahit isang page.

The Woman in Me: Reclaiming a Voice the World Silenced

It’s Women’s Month. And instead of celebrating perfection, let’s celebrate survival. The Woman in Me by Britney Spears isn't just a memoir about pop stardom. It’s about what happens when a woman’s body, money, career — even her choices — are controlled by other people… and she has to fight to get them back. And maybe that’s what Women’s Month should really remind us:Not that women are flawless. But that women are allowed to fall apart and still rise.

  7. 16

This Women’s Month: Stop Shrinking. Start Rising.

How Women Rise by Sally Helgesen and Marshall Goldsmith isn’t about working harder — it’s about unlearning the habits that might be quietly holding you back.In this episode, we talk about the subtle behaviors many women were taught growing up — being overly loyal, overvaluing expertise, waiting to be noticed — and why those don’t always translate to success today. If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything right but still not moving forward, this one might hit a little too close to home. Isang pahina, Isang realization, Isang level up!

Isang Tasa ng Kape, Isang Byahe sa Nakaraan

For my second romance novel this February, I chose a story that explores love in its many different forms.Because love isn’t just something we receive from a boyfriend or girlfriend. In Before the Coffee Gets Cold, we’re reminded of something simple but powerful:Treasure each moment.Stop obsessing over the past.Stop fearing the future.Because sometimes, the only time we truly have… is now.

    Masakit, Pero Masarap Magmahal

A Christmas Carol: A Story of Malasakit and Second Chances

For my first Christmas episode, I chose to feature 'A Christmas Carol' because its story has striking parallels to what is happening in our country today. What lessons can we learn from this book? And how does the lead character 'Ebenezer Scrooge' identify with certain key players in our corruption issue today?

ABNKKRelate din PLAko SLibro ni BOB ONG

    Playing God in the Palace

This book review is dedicated to all those who lost their lives during the war on drugs under former president Rodrigo Duterte.May their stories never be forgotten—at sana, balang araw, makamit din nila ang hustisyang matagal nang ipinaglalaban.

From Viral Fame to Quiet Strength

They say a star is born every second. Each one is unique but only few shine forever. For my 2nd book review, I thought of featuring a star who became well loved not only because of her unique talent but because of her genuineness. Maine Mendoza rose to fame back in 2015 through a very popular app, called ‘DubSmash’ and this made her a hit, especially amongst GenZs. But behind the glitz and glamour, there’s a girl who also has her own flaws and is trying her best to navigate through a very complicated world. Tune in as I give my honest review of her book entitled, ‘Yup, I Am That Girl’ released back in 2017.

IT ENDS WITH US (A ROMANCE NOVEL THAT IS NOT)

March is 'International Womens Month' so to kickstart this season, I thought of featuring stories about women and their many contributions to our society.
