A Parent’s Problem Turned Into Her Life’s Work ft. Christa Ramey | #AOP Ep. 25

What do you do when the system you trust to protect your child… fails them?In this month's episode of Art of Purpose, Kenny sits down with Christa Ramey—a nationally recognized trial attorney who has built her career holding schools accountable for failing to protect children. What started as a personal experience with her own daughter quickly uncovered something much bigger: a system where warning signs are ignored, families feel powerless, and children are left unprotected. But this conversation isn’t just about the work she does. It’s about how she got there. How her personal experiences opened her eyes to a gap in the system, and how she chose to step into it instead of looking away.In this conversation, we dive into:• Christa's personal and family experiences that shaped her and the career she pursued• Why bullying and abuse cases often go unaddressed• What parents are getting wrong—and what they should be doing instead• Why children often stay silent about what’s happening to them• The truth about lawsuits and how they actually make schools safer• And the message every child needs to hear: you are not powerlessThere’s a point in life where something stops being “just a situation” and starts feeling like a responsibility. This is a conversation about recognizing that moment… and doing something with it.Injured in an accident and need legal guidance? Having the Courage to Pivot ft. Melissa Baldwin | #AOP Ep. 23

In this month’s episode of Art of Purpose, we sit down with Melissa Baldwin, founder of Baldwin Settlements, where she helps injured plaintiffs transform legal recoveries into long-term financial security and peace of mind through structured settlements.Melissa did everything “right.”Graduated early. Went to law school. Built the résumé.And then she realized it wasn’t her calling. What followed wasn’t failure, it was a pivot. One that required her to confront doubt, ego, outside expectations, and the fear of walking away from something she had worked so hard to earn.In this conversation, Melissa shares what it really looked like to rebuild: entering a male-dominated industry as an unknown, being underestimated in rooms she fought to be in, launching her own firm on 100% commission, and navigating the lean years of entrepreneurship while raising young children. She opens up about the uncertain seasons.About being told clients would feel “more comfortable” speaking to a man. About choosing integrity over aggressive sales tactics. And about defining success on her own terms, not someone else’s blueprint. This episode isn’t just about career moves. It’s about alignment. It’s about resilience. It’s about having the courage to change direction and then committing fully to the path you choose. Sometimes the bravest move isn’t pushing through. It’s pivoting and building something better.Injured and not at-fault?
