He has authored Shock Value: How a Few Eccentric Outsiders Gave Us Nightmares, Conquered Hollywood and Invented Modern Horror, the Kindle Single Searching for Dave Chappelle and the NYT bestseller, Letterman: The Last Giant of Late Night. He was a theater critic for many years and still occasionally reviews plays. He has written for magazines and newspapers since the first Internet boom. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two daughters.

Central in her art experience is how she manages recovery from trauma in an activist and art-making role, building on a form of inclusivity with the involvement of artisans in her art-making process.

Renee LoBue is a singer and songwriter for the New Jersey based rock and roll band, Elk City and also Flowers of America. They record out of Magic Door Studios. She and drummer and producer, Ray Ketchem, started a record label, Magic Door. They've been releasing albums by notable and highly energized bands. LoBue is a multi-disciplined artist who works from collage art, mixed media, installations, digital self-portraits and performance art. Her optimal platform is bringing awareness to complex female narratives through her form of resistance in her art work across different mediums using groundbreaking themes in female gender empowerment, social commentary and the human experience.

Artist George Lund
Guest host Kofi Fosu Forson with the innovative, genius-minded energy of the septuagenarian artist and performance artist, George Lund, began in the town of Huyton, Liverpool. In a household of ten children, what he grew accustomed to was living with chickens. 70's culture drew him to dance and performance, origins of his alter ego, Funkadelic Chicken. As a founding member of the defunct cultural initiative, Transvoyeur, he has exhibited internationally. He now spends time volunteering, bringing a worldwide audience to the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral where he conducts drawing exercises.

David Joselit is a distinguished art historian and curator, and is currently the Chair of the Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies at Harvard University. He is an editor at OCTOBER and has published widely on contemporary art, media and politics. In 2021, his volume Heritage and Debt won the Robert Motherwell Award, one of the top prizes in modern art history. In 2023, he published a follow up, Arts Properties, with Princeton University Press. Arts Properties, the subject of this podcast, reconsiders how methodologies from "global" contemporary art can allow us to rethink the intra-European development of modernism.
