Arts Radio is s a cutting edge youth development program and a online radio station launched in 2015 with support from Arts Council of England . It supports and nurtures the development of young people's intellectual, professional and creative aptitudes through innovative media projects. It was started by Birmingham based NGO, Ulfah Arts & Media . Arts Radio UK will broadcast radio programmes by its volunteers and other youth radio initiatives around the world! Arts Radio encourages the young people to contribute in the society as leaders in media, arts and public life.Our projects strengthen life-skills, motivate graduating from school, encourage volunteerism, support professional training goals and prepare young people for the technology driven 21st century job market.

    'Prayers from the Penitentiary' is a short radio documentary which investigates the subject matter of Islam inside Prison. The documentary aims to magnify why inmates have a tendency to embrace the religion. In mainstream media there are many stories of Islamist inside who practise violent methods forcing non-Muslim inmates into the religion. After all Islam is a religion of peace and we want unravel the truth what really happens.

    Kouame Sereba is an African-Norwegian multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, who has been a very important figure in Norway's world music scene for well over two decades.In addition to his solo projects he collaborates with musicians of many different styles; jazz, folk, contemporary, as well as traditional and modern African music. One of his songs "Atolago" has been used in the Hollywood movie "The Interpreter".

    World Beats In Oslo

    A documentary about integration and multiculturalism in Norway after the July 22nd massacre, produced by volunteers of Ulfah Arts on work placement at the Norwegian national broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting AS popularly known as NRK. The group of five, 18 to 25 year olds from diverse backgrounds of UK spent a month living in the Norwegian capital Oslo and working on a wide array of news, music and cultural TV and radio programs broadcasted by NRK. This feature is the final output of the media production skills they learned as a part of the internship and was applauded for its production standard as well as editorial quality by NRK Executives and journalists. The project was made possible with generous support from EU Lifelong Learning programme , NRK and Adobe Foundation. Project delivered by Birmingham, UK based NGO, Ulfah Arts & Media .

    A life of Grime

    A Life of Grime is a radio documentary produced by Jay Alom and Aamir Hussain , participants of Radio Youthology - a skills oriented youth led initiative developed by Ulfah Arts & Media with support from Adobe Foundation, Department of Education, EU Lifelong Learning Program, Media Trust and BBC WM.The documentary charts the development of Grime as a respected genre of music, and also looks at how its association with gang culture often creates friction between Grime music fans and the police. Contributions include rapper Harry Shotta, MC Fatal, Superintendent Sue Southern from West Midlands Police’s Birmingham West and Central unit, Actress MC Lady Leshurr from the controversial grime movie '1 Day' ,Birmingham's based rapper EA and NewYork based music producer , Paul Snookes. An informative insight in to the largely misunderstood genre of music.
