Stories, discussions, taildragger tales and more from America's first Living Aviation Museum and Air Show Attraction, The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.Located in the Hudson Valley of Upstate NY, the Aeodrome, started in 1958 by Cole Palen, educates and entertains with thrilling air shows, a renowned restoration and pilot staff and a vintage charm like no other. Running air shows June - October each year and going strong since 1958 there is no shortage of tales to tell.We will chat amongst ourselves, interview pilots and others in the aviation history who have a connection to us and more.

    After capturing some old recordings of Cole for the last episode, creating this episode was a natural next step. Jim Hare was the core of the Aerodrome's magic for well over 30 years. His voice, his ability to tell a story, work off of the crowd and play with the show characters was like no other and we miss him terribly. Here we have 3 clips of Jim talking about the Aerodrome.     Pilot Interview: Ken Cassens

    Get to know master craftsman and pilot Ken Cassens in this episode. Hear about his first meeting with Cole Palen, how he learned to fly and who he admires. Ken built the Aerodrome's Spirit of St. Louis, the most accurate flying replica in the world. He is currently working on an Arup flying wing all at the young age of 81 (almost). He is a treasure.
