The Force is back! We're joined this week by Mark O' Cummings, local electronic musician, to talk about the first ending of the Star Wars saga: Return of the Jedi! We're drinking our own mix of Jabba Juice, containing midori, rum, and your choice of bubbly citrus soda (We used 7 up and Ski). Bum bum bum, bum ba dum, bum ba dum! Here comes Bar Wars Episode V: The Empire Got Back. We're joined this time by our esteemed colleague and Star Wars scholar Ryan to discuss one of the most iconic films in the franchise. Our drink this time is the Wampa, our version of a White Russian, containing: Rum Chata, Fireball whiskey, and of course cream. Our long awaited (And twice delayed) podcast over the movie that started it all: A New Hope. We have joining us our bartender Auburn and good pal Grant to enjoy an array of 3 different shots for characters in the movie. Our Luke shot consists of Rum Chata and amaretto in roughly equal proportions. The Han Solo shot is simply whiskey with honey that was supposed to make it sweeter, though to no avail. Lastly, the shot for Leia is whipped cream vodka with a touch of almond milk. Join us as we discuss this film as a cultural phenomena, the brainchild of a boy from California, and how it exists in both the old and new Expanded Universe.
