Bathtub Season

In a world where some TV shows overstay their welcome, while others are cut down before their prime, two brave souls have made it their mission to expose themselves to these ill-fated shows that could not last more than one season. This is not for the faint of heart. Indulging in magnificent warm, luxurious baths in opposite corners of the mythical land of Ohio, Corey and Austin will attempt to accomplish what better men have only dreamed of. They will watch, soak, and discuss these one season shows to determine if each show should have floated to a second season. Was the drain plug pulled too soon? Only one good way to find out…

Daddies Gotta Yank on a Time Crunch - (S2E10)

It is finally here and upon us. The season finale of Napoleon Dynamite the animated TV show! This has been a wild ride through rural Idaho, but I think we left on a high note. We discuss caulk, grout, hot glue in the morning, the ultimate Golden Girl, other daddies, another daddy, inappropriate uses for cheese, and of course Napoleon and his friends. It's a lot and it's great.   Find our website at BathtubSeason.com or on Twitter (or X, as I suppose it is now known) at @BathtubSeason We also now have a LinkTree!! We Are, Are We, How Did We End Up Here? - (S2E9)

This was meant to be the final episode of this season, but Whoops! We did what we always do and talk probably a little too much. But boy howdy did we talk about some STUFF. Not only did we talk about farmers, the future, America, and future farmers in America, but we talked about Austin's love with a lion who saves him, sexual toe goblins, betrayed friendship, and the judgement of soil (among many).   Find our website at BathtubSeason.com or on Twitter (or X, as I suppose it is now known) at @BathtubSeason We also now have a LinkTree!! The Night I was in Piss - (S2E8)

The penultimate episode of the animated Napoleon Dynamite is a great one, bringing in many of our favorite characters from this short lived show. We also discuss buying zoos with Icelandic singers, emu wars, pig milk, and betrayal (among other things). So fairly par for the course. Willem Dafoe's Confounding Dong - (S2E7)

What can be said about this episode of Bathtub Season? A whole lot of everything and nothing was discussed. From a mysterious underground war, learning morse code, a refusal of fax machines, the nether regions of Mr Dafoe, and so so much more.  Not only that, but friendships are at stake!! Not only on our show, but also for Napoleon Dynamite and his friends Deb and Pedro. Today's episode is a little bit of a special one. Instead of our normal programming, Austin and Corey sat down to record a short special celebrating our one year birthday as a podcast! Can you believe we've been in bathtubs, surrounded by expensive audio gear, for an entire year? We sure are pruny, that's for sure   But for real, it's crazy to think that we are now in our second season and have been doing this fun project for so long. And speaking of fatal, during this episode Corey accidentally inhales a toxic substance and is brought to death's door! Our First Robeo - (S1E10)

Today's the day, it is finally here, this is our first season wrap-up episode!! And gasp!!! What is that?!?!? Clothing????? Yes, this is our first episode recorded not in our birthday suits, as we made the decision to have every wrap-up episode also be a towel-down where we record in our bathrobes instead as we dry off from the warm, soaking waters of the show we just finished. In today's episode, we dive into the backstory of how Bathtub Season came to be, from a drunk idea during a dog walk, to two grown men sitting in their bathtubs while talking about superheroes into audio equipment that is, frankly, much to expensive to be used for this We then dive into our overarching thoughts of 2001's "The Tick," our favorite episodes and lines, and if we thought the show should have been renewed for a second season. Lastly, we touch on where this show goes from here! Because even though we are now done with Patrick Warburton's glorious blue (and possibly naked) protector of justice, this podcast is definitely not over. You Don’t Throw Blood at a Person - (S1E9)

THE FINAL EPISODE OF OUR FIRST SEAON IS UPON US!!! As I'm sure you're all well aware, this is our first finale: the final episode of 2001's "The Tick" staring Patrick Warburton. Our two hosts are like yin & yang, toothpaste & orange juice, and Volvo & Saab this episode with completely opposite feelings on our opinions of this finale. So strap in, tuck in, and take whichever clothes you feel are necessary to take off for our show because this one is getting heated and spicy, like my favorite Indian dishes We are sad to see this wonderful gem of a show come to an end, but also excited to move onto something new! Next episode will be a review/wrap-up episode of our final thoughts on The Tick as a whole and our favorite & least favorite things from the show, as well as going over how this podcast came to be and how we make it happen. So!! Please send us any questions you have about The Tick and our show in general on any of our social media or in your review of the show! We'd love to answer some of your questions. And don't fret if your question isn't answered in the next episode, I'm sure we will be collecting them to go through in future wrap-up episodes   This episode, like all episodes of Podcast Season, was recorded live from two bathtubs in the great state of Ohio! The Long Slippery Slope to Moral Oblivion - (S1E8)

Corey here, I always write the descriptions for these things, but as I listen back through this episode while getting all the files uploaded for today's episode I can honestly say I have ZERO memory of recording this episode and only a vague memory of actually watching the episode. But I know both things actually occurred. On a positive note, as I listen back to this episode my baby-induced sleep deprivation and unrelated medication seems to have mixed together perfectly to create a hilarious episode that I truly hope you all enjoy!!   Because these descriptions help with SEO (and CEO's possibly if they listen to this show) I will now list a series of things related to this show: Ohio Dayton Cleveland The Tick The year of our lord 2001 But not 2001 in a 9/11 kind of way, just a year that a show happened to be released in Bathtubs Bathing Getting clean but also very dirty? But somehow in the least sexy way possible Patrick Warburton The Devils Independent Comics A terrible TV network NPR, but that part weirdly is sexy LGBTQ (this episode in particular, we are 2 cishet white men, but this episode touches on LGBTQ themes, and does so in a surprisingly tasteful way for a 22 year old tv show that aired on the network that shall not be named) Bubbles Sacks Soup Seasoning A man named Arthur and nothing else   This episode, like all episodes of Podcast Season, was recorded live from two bathtubs in the great state of Ohio! The Tick Fought the System, and Me Won - (S1E7)

In today's episode The Tick is thrown into a Law & Order style debacle, and learns what a judicial system means for a world that contains superheroes. A surprising episode in many ways for sure   Bathtub Season is a courageous endeavor by two friends from the mythical state of Ohio. The Pilot of Justice - (S1E1)

Welcome to the first episode of what is sure to become the premier bathtub-centric podcast on the internet. Bathtub Season is a courageous endeavor by two friends from the mythical state of Ohio. Austin and Corey strip down, sit in their respective bathtubs, and discuss TV shows that only had one season - episode by episode. The first show up for discussion is the classic 2001 comedy, The Tick. In Bathtub Season's pilot episode, our duo pilots their bathtubs toward the absurd for a discourse on The Tick's pilot, Pilot. ABOUT THIS SHOW
