Footballer Kevin McHugh tells story of losing his finger 😲
Finn Harps striker Kevin McHugh has been speaking about a freak accident which resulted in him losing his finger last week. The former Derry City player was hosting a coaching session in Donegal when his wedding ring got caught in a fence. Derry taxi drivers say new meters mean fair wages
Some taxi drivers in Derry say the newly installed meter system will mean they finally earn fair wages. As of Saturday last, all taxis in Northern Ireland are required to have a meter and printer which will automatically set and record fares. But some drivers also feel there has been confusion about how the system has been introduced. Our reporter Una Kelly has been getting reaction from drivers and punters in Derry.

Lifeguard "feared the worst" as speeding train narrowly misses two people
A lifeguard has described the dramatic moment two pedestrians escaping after they wandered into a railway tunnel as a train approached. The near miss at Downhill Strand on the north coast was released by Translink to highlight the dangers of trespassing on the lines. Listen: Limavady mum "heartbroken" over nursery school place
Limavady mum Emma Kane says she's been left heartbroken after she says she was told that her three-year-old son Caleb no longer had a nursery place - just 48 hours before he was due to start. Emma had his uniform ready to start Buttercup Nursery - a special needs nursery in Limavady. She says a breakdown in communication between the nursery and the Education Authority means he has lost his place. The Education Authority say they have now launched an investigation. Emma has been speaking to our reporter Dean McLaughlin. She starts here by telling him about what life is like for Caleb on a daily basis. A spokesperson for the Education Authority in Northern Ireland said: "It is not appropriate for the Education Authority to comment on the circumstances of an individual child. We are aware of an issue raised relating to communication with a parent and are currently investigating this matter further. The Education Authority provides a pre-school teaching service for children with special educational needs prior to commencing their pre-school year. The statement goes on to say: "In September 2016, as in previous years, this service will provide advice and support to parents to meet the needs of their children prior to commencing their pre-school year. As EA must give priority for pre-school places to children of the appropriate age, no places in special schools have been offered to under-age children."

"I was preparing myself for the worst" - Passenger on board United Airlines flight to Shannon
Imagine being on a smooth flight over the atlantic and out of the blue there's a sudden, uncontrolled drop. Passengers scream like they're on a funfair ride. John Dunton-Downer from London was on a United Airlines flight that had to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport after hitting severe turbulence. The lifetime ban on gay men donating blood is being lifted from today. It will be replaced by a one-year deferral - bringing us into line with the rest of the UK. That means that a man who's been sexually active with another man within the last 12 months will still not be allowed to give blood. Syrian families living in Derry have been describing what life was like for them in the war-torn country before they fled and what life is still like for the loved ones they've left behind. One man has recently lost ten members of his family after their house was bombed. The group arrived in the city in May and families have spent the past three months settling in. Some were at the North West Regional College yesterday to find out more about courses. Italy Earthquake: 'No electricity or food' - Sabarina lives 8 miles from the epicentre
Straight away to that earthquake now, which struck central Italy last night, has left 38 people dead and 150 missing. "I'll see you later, Dad" - Crash victim's son to launch road safety campaign
The grieving son of a man killed in car crash near Claudy last week says he doesn't want to his father's death to be in vain and he is now starting a road safety campaign in his memory. 60-year-old Wilson Sherrard who was from the Fountain in Derry was a passenger in a car which was involved in a collision with a van on the Foreglen Road.
