How Sleep Consultants and Pediatricians Can Work Together with Dr. Sujay Kansagra

In this episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I’m joined by Dr. Sujay Kansagra for a conversation on how sleep consultants and medical professionals can work together to better support families.Dr. Kansagra is a professor at Duke, and the Director of Duke University’s Pediatric Neurology Sleep Medicine Program. In our conversation we discuss the role that medical professionals and sleep consultants play in addressing pediatric sleep challenges, where collaboration can improve outcomes, and how sleep consultants can build trusted relationships with pediatricians and other providers. We also cover the ongoing controversy surrounding sleep training, the prevalence of misinformation in this space, and how to approach these conversations with parents in a clear, confident, and responsible way. This episode focuses on how sleep consultants can strengthen their approach, support families more effectively, and build trust within the broader medical community.Links: Website: Lulabee.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thatsleepdoc/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@thatsleepdocIf you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

30-Day Visibility Challenge with Allison Henderson

On this week's episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I'm joined by business coach and visibility expert Allison Henderson, who has helped hundreds of sleep consultants build real, thriving businesses using one powerful and completely free tool: the internet. We talk about what it actually means to be visible as a sleep consultant, online and in person. Allison shares why so many of us stay stuck, including the fear of being judged by people close to us, the pressure to look or sound a certain way, and the tendency to wait until everything feels perfect before taking action. We also get into the practical side of increasing visibility: how to build genuine referral relationships with pediatricians, therapists, and local professionals, how to show up consistently on social media without burning out, and why one real conversation can change the course of your business.Allison and I are teaming up for a 30-Day Visibility Challenge starting May 12th. If you've been dragging your feet, if you're unsure what to post, or you just need some accountability and direction, this program is for you. What's included:- Daily content prompts- A group coaching call- Allison's mini course on creating content that converts- Audio trainings and Q&A inside Telegram- A cheat sheet that outlines 50+ ways to get visible online and in personAll of this for $99. It's a no brainer!Link to register: https://allisonhendersoncoaching.mykajabi.com/30-day-visibility-challengeIf you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

We Can Do Hard Things with Ivy Havens

Today's podcast is with a very special guest, my 9-year-old daughter Ivy. She decided completely on her own that she wanted to start a podcast… and then went ahead and figured out how to get it onto Spotify. She did this without my help. She did this without an online course. She did this without overthinking it.Ivy decided that she wanted to do it… and then she did.And as I listened to her walk me through the process, one thing became very clear:We tend to overcomplicate things as adults. In this conversation, we discussed what it actually looked like for her to figure it out, including the frustrating moments, the trial and error, and the moments where she almost gave up… but didn’t.And the takeaway is simple, but important:If a 9-year-old can navigate something new, uncomfortable, and a little bit hard… so can you. This episode is a reminder that you don’t need to have it all figured out before you start. You just need to be willing to try, stay in it when it feels frustrating, and use the resources available to you.Because more often than not, the only thing standing between you and the thing you want to do… is the decision to actually begin.Enjoy!Links: Ivy's Podcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3FSPsvCO2Cr1kYRvDQ5Ves?si=29df84e40b234502If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Always Lead with Passion with Jayne Havens

Some people assume that what makes a great sleep consultant is having a medical background, or years of experience, or some kind of “perfect” personality for the job.But that’s really not what I see.The consultants who go on to do really well in this work are the ones who are genuinely excited about it. They’re passionate. They’re interested. They want to learn. They feel called to support families who are in the thick of it, because they understand how hard it can be.I had a call like this just recently with someone interested in becoming a sleep consultant. She’s currently being supported by a sleep consultant herself, and her experience has been so transformative that she immediately started thinking, “I want to do this for other families.”For her, this isn’t about building a big business. She’s not getting into this for the money. She just lit up talking about the prospect of learning and being able to help moms.By the time I finished recording this podcast, she had already enrolled in CPSM, and I cannot wait for her to get started. This could be you too. What are you waiting for?If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

What It Actually Takes with Jayne Havens

Everyone wants a successful business, but not everyone is willing to do what it takes to actually build one.In this episode, I share a story about my kids, but it really speaks to something I see all the time with people who are thinking about becoming sleep consultants. It’s easy to look at someone else’s success and want the end result. It’s much harder to accept what it takes to get there. There has to be a phase where you are figuring things out, finding your voice, and putting yourself out there before you feel ready. You have to be willing to do things over and over again before things start to click. Most people don’t fail because they can’t do it. They stop because it feels uncomfortable, or it's taking longer than they expected. If you’ve been thinking about becoming a sleep consultant, ask yourself this honestly… are you willing to start before you feel ready, and keep going even when it feels hard? The consultants you’re looking up to did not achieve success overnight. They put in the time, the effort, and the work. I can guarantee that there was a certain level of grit and persistence at play. You can absolutely build what they have built, but you have to get started, and you have to keep going. If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Finding Your Voice as a Sleep Consultant with Rachel Lubchansky

There is a lot of pressure in the online space to sound right. To say things perfectly. To figure out the exact words that will land, connect, and convert. But what if finding your voice isn’t about getting it right… it’s about using it?In today’s episode, I’m joined by Rachel Lubchansky for a conversation about what it really looks like to find your voice in your business, and why this is something that evolves over time.We talk about the internal shifts, the external noise, and the process of learning to trust yourself as you show up and communicate with your audience.Because the goal isn’t to sound like someone else. The goal is to sound like you.I hope you enjoy this conversation!Links:Website: https://www.rachel-lubchansky.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rachel.lubchansky/If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

The Power of Taking Action Early with Stella Kontak

If you’ve been waiting to feel “ready” before starting something new, this episode is going to challenge that thought.Today I’m joined by Stella, a full-time corporate professional, mom of two, and certified sleep consultant through Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. Stella is just five months into her business and she’s already supported 20 families.Stella didn’t wait for everything to be perfect before getting started. She took action, figured things out as she went, and put herself out there even when it felt uncomfortable. In this conversation, we talk about how she landed her first clients, how she’s using social media in a way that actually works for her, and what it looks like to move through imposter syndrome instead of letting it hold her back.Stella shares honestly what it looks like to juggle a full-time job, two young kids, and a growing brand new business. If you’re on the fence, this episode is your reminder that you don’t need to have it all figured out to get started. Creating Momentum as a New Sleep Consultant with Sam Hirschel

Every once in a while I get to record an episode that feels especially meaningful, and this conversation is one of them.Today on the podcast I’m talking with Sam, someone I’ve actually known since we were babies. Life has a funny way of bringing things full circle. Years after reconnecting during her pregnancy, Sam found herself searching for something that would give her purpose beyond the day to day of raising a toddler. That search ultimately led her to become a certified sleep consultant through CPSM.What I love about Sam’s story is how real it is. She didn’t launch with a polished website or a big marketing plan. In fact, she still doesn’t have a website. She signed her first client, supported that family really well, and referrals naturally followed. Today she’s working with multiple families at a time, building her business around her busy life as a new mom.In this episode, we talk about what it actually looks like to start a sleep consulting business in real life: the fears that come with becoming an entrepreneur, the learning curve that happens in the early months, the importance of boundaries, and how meaningful it is to find work that truly lights you up.If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s possible to build something for yourself while still prioritizing your family, Sam’s story is a really powerful example of what that can look like. And if you’re someone who has been sitting on the fence, feeling excited about this work but also scared to start, I think you’ll find her perspective especially encouraging.

How small, consistent efforts eventually turn into real momentum. This episode isn’t about overnight success. It’s about grit. It’s about doing it afraid. We talk about the steep learning curve of entrepreneurship and how she’s grown by leaning into her strengths instead of forcing herself to market like everyone else. You’ll hear how she’s built her business largely through in-person connections, local partnerships, and referrals, and why that approach has worked so well for her. The Art of Sturdy Coaching with Ali Manning

This week on the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, we are talking about something that does not get discussed nearly enough in our field, and that is the emotional side of coaching families through sleep.Supporting parents through sleep challenges is not just about wake windows and schedules. It is about holding space for big feelings, uncertainty, exhaustion, and sometimes even grief and anxiety. And as sleep consultants, we have to learn how to stay steady in the middle of all of that.I am joined by CPSM grad Ali Manning, a pediatric sleep consultant who specializes in gradual and parent present approaches for families who feel nervous about sleep training. Ali shares how her own journey into sleep consulting shaped the way she supports parents today, and how her coaching style has evolved over the past three years in business. In this episode, we dive into the concept of “sturdy coaching.” We talk about what it really means to hold space for parents’ emotions without absorbing them, how to avoid jumping in to fix every feeling, and why our confidence and calm presence can make all the difference for the families we serve.Ali also opens up about the learning curve she experienced early on, the moments that pushed her to grow, and the mindset shifts that helped her stop taking client struggles personally. If you have ever felt emotionally drained by your work with families or questioned whether you are doing enough, this conversation will feel both validating and grounding.Whether you are brand new to sleep consulting or years into your business, this episode is a powerful reminder that being a great coach is not about eliminating discomfort. It is about learning how to remain confident and sturdy while guiding families through it.Links: Website: https://www.snugglesandslumber.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ali.manning.sleep.coach/If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Off to a Strong Start with Alyssa Angelucci

Today’s episode is all about what it means to get a strong start. So often, I see people finish their training and feel like they need to pause. They wait to feel more confident, more experienced, or more “ready” before putting themselves out there. But momentum doesn’t come from waiting. It comes from taking action. My guest today is Alyssa, a recent graduate of the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management who took that idea seriously from the very beginning. She moved forward with intention, focused on progress over perfection, and built early momentum in her business. In this conversation, we’re talking about the mindset required to start strong, the moves she made to create traction early on, and why believing in what you’re building matters just as much as the strategy behind it.If you’re at the beginning of your journey or wondering how to kick your business into high gear, this episode will give you a lot to think about.Links: Website: https://www.aasleepconsulting.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/aasleepconsulting/If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Work Life Balance is Built Not Found with Jayne Havens

In this episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I’m digging into a topic I see come up constantly in professional communities and Facebook groups: how to build a career that allows for real work-life balance.I share how I’ve approached my career with the belief that feeling stuck is never the end of the story, why I walked away from a demanding role once it no longer aligned with motherhood, and how building a business around my life changed everything. In this episode, I explore:• Why feeling stuck is often about comfort, not lack of options• What it really looks like to design work around your life instead of the other way around• How choosing flexibility and autonomy changed the way I work, parent, and live my life.If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Email Marketing for Sleep Consultants with Catherine Reohorn

I hired a copywriter to help rewrite my emails, and instead of gatekeeping that experience, I invited her onto the podcast. Why? Because email marketing is one of the most underused tools I see in the sleep consulting space, and it’s also one of the most powerful when it’s done well.In this episode, we talk about:• Why email marketing matters even if your list is small• Why sounding like yourself is more important than sounding polished• How consistency builds trust, authority, and referrals over timeOne of the things I loved most about this conversation is how much we focused on clarity and voice. You don’t need to sound like a marketer. You don’t need fancy funnels. You need to communicate clearly, and articulate your value. If you’ve been sitting on an email list without actually putting it to use, or you’ve been overthinking what to say and when to say it, this episode will provide the jumpstart to get you going.Links: Freebie: https://www.kindcopy.uk/consultant-emailIf you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

My First Paying Client with Jayne Havens

I don’t remember my first client’s name.I barely remember the details of her sleep plan. But I remember exactly how she made me feel. This mom was the first person who ever paid me to support her family as a certified sleep consultant. Her six year old had been bedsharing for years, struggled with separation anxiety, and had never learned how to fall asleep independently.I had the training. I had the certification. What I didn’t have was experience with big kids or confidence that came from doing the work. And yet, I showed up. I leaned on what I knew. I coached her with intention. And together, we helped her daughter gain independence, confidence, and better sleep. What stayed with me all these years later is not the method we used or how long it took. It’s the way that first client trusted me. The way she valued my guidance. The way that experience made me realize, “I can do this.”This episode is for anyone who feels like they don’t know enough yet.For anyone staring at their first client thinking, “What if I mess this up?”For anyone learning something new and wishing confidence would arrive first. It doesn’t.Confidence is built by doing the work, not before it.If you are committed to learning, showing up fully, and supporting families with care and professionalism, you will figure it out. In Order to Succeed, You have to be Willing to Try with Jayne Havens (ENCORE)

Sometimes we are our own biggest roadblocks on this journey through entrepreneurship. We have big ideas, we dream up big plans, but then our own self-doubt and fear of failure creeps in and we hold ourselves back. I was chatting with a prospective CPSM student who expressed that her only hesitation in enrolling in the program is the business piece. She has never started her own business and that feels scary and overwhelming. She knows she will be great at supporting families, and she is passionate about healthy sleep habits for children, but what if she fails? Well, you can’t succeed if you don’t even try! On this episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I share: - That the irony around fear of failure is that if you are so afraid to fail that you don’t even try, then you failed before even getting started! - How we can relate these feelings we have as sleep consultants back to our clients. When our clients are finally ready to make a change, and try to teach their child to fall asleep in a new way, that’s when they can have a really meaningful transformation! - When you say yes to yourself, that’s the very first step on your new adventure. It’s sometimes scary, always thrilling, and entirely worth it!

Intentional Goal Setting for Sleep Consultants, with Allison Henderson

On today’s episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I am joined by Allison Henderson, business coach and social media strategist who specializes in helping sleep consultants grow their client base both locally and online. She blends practical strategy with mindset and energetic growth practices, helping her clients build sustainable businesses and, for many, replace their corporate income. As we wrap up 2025 and look ahead to 2026, we focused this conversation on goal setting and intention setting for service-based business owners. We talked about where to start when goals feel overwhelming, how to think about money without guilt, and why clarity and consistency matter more than chasing every strategy you see online. This episode is especially relevant for sleep consultants who are wanting their goals to support both their income and their lifestyle. Alison shares practical ways to turn intentions into action, stay focused on what actually works, and tune out the noise that can lead to comparison and burnout. If you’re heading into the new year thinking about how you want your business and your life to feel, you’re going to love this conversation!Links: Website: https://www.allisonhendersoncoaching.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allisonhenderson_coach If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Adding Sleep Consulting to Your Doula Business with Deb Pocica

This week on the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I’m joined by Deb Pocica, a postpartum doula who added sleep consulting to her business and saw an immediate shift in the way she could support families. In this episode, we talk about:• Why sleep consulting is the perfect complement to postpartum care• How sustainable systems can prevent burnout for doulas and sleep consultants• What expanding your services can mean for both your income and your energyThe truth is, postpartum care often ends right when families need continued guidance the most. Sleep consulting fills that gap. It extends support beyond the newborn phase, strengthens relationships, and positions you as a long term resource instead of a short term solution. If you are a doula or newborn care specialist thinking about how to grow, diversify, or prevent burnout in your business… this episode will give you a lot to think about.Links:Website: https://www.debpocica.com/ If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

With each year in business, I’m reminded that flexibility is the most meaningful return on investment. This week on the podcast, I’m reflecting on the quieter parts of entrepreneurship — the moments that don’t make the highlight reel, but absolutely shape the way I live and work. The ability to shift my schedule when life calls for it…To be present for my family without sacrificing momentum…To rest when my body needs it…And to run a thriving business from anywhere. These are the freedoms I’m most grateful for — and they’re the reason I built my business the way I did.Inside this episode, I'm sharing:• What true flexibility looks like as an entrepreneur• How to build a business that bends around your life• The small, everyday moments that matter most• And real stories of CPSM grads who have created this same freedom for themselvesIf you’re craving more control over your time, your energy, or your day-to-day life… I hope this episode gives you the encouragement you need to go after it.If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Productivity Strategies for Sleep Consultants with Ronna Belinky

In this week’s episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, we’re diving into a topic that so many entrepreneurs, parents, and busy people struggle with. How do you manage your time well, stay productive, and avoid burnout? I invited time management and productivity coach Ronna Belinky to join me because this is something that comes up again and again in our community.Ronna specializes in helping people build simple, sustainable systems so they can manage their days with more intention and less stress. She focuses on awareness, habits, and clarity rather than trying to cram more into an already full schedule. Her approach is all about creating routines that support your life instead of adding pressure to it.In our conversation, we talk about where to begin when everything feels important, how to create systems that actually work for you, and what it looks like to build your business in a way that feels steady and sustainable. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, distracted, or unsure how to prioritize, this episode will give you clarity and a practical path forward.Links: Website: https://www.workflowsbyronna.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/workflowsbyronna/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ronna-belinky-701021265/If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

A Hybrid Business Model for Doulas with Darcy Sauers

On this episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant Podcast, I’m joined by Doula Darcy, who helps birth and postpartum professionals build sustainable, freedom-filled businesses they truly love.I was inspired to record this conversation with Darcy after I came across a post she shared online that said:“Being a doula is heart-centered work, but it shouldn’t cost you your health, family time, or financial stability.”That message stopped me in my tracks because I see it all the time — doulas who adore their work but are exhausted by the long hours and the unpredictable on-call lifestyle. In this conversation, Darcy explains why the traditional, in-person-only model just isn’t sustainable long term, and how her Hybrid Doula Business Model is helping doulas earn more, work less, and find balance again. We discussed:✨ Why only taking in-person clients can lead to burnout✨ How sleep consulting fits perfectly into the hybrid business model for doulas✨ The mindset shifts needed to create more freedom and stability✨ Darcy’s best advice for doulas who want to make a changeIf you’ve been looking for a way to continue supporting families while creating a bit more balance and freedom in your work, you’ll really enjoy this episode.Links:Website: https://douladarcy.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thedouladarcy/The Hybrid Doula Business Masterclass: https://douladarcy.com/masterclassIf you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Working with a Sleep Consultant: From the Parent's Perspective, with Sarah Gardner

When we talk about sleep consulting, we often focus on helping babies and toddlers sleep through the night, but in reality, we’re coaching parents through mindset shifts, confidence building, and new routines that can feel both exciting and intimidating at the same time.In this week’s episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I’m joined by Sarah, a former client who came to me wanting a very gradual and parent-present approach. She was feeling cautious about making changes, and wanted to be sure her baby always felt supported and secure. What unfolded was a powerful example of how blending empathy with accountability can lead to massive results. We simplified the process, made small yet sustainable changes, and celebrated every win along the way. Within two weeks, her baby was sleeping independently, and Sarah felt calm, confident, and proud of what we had accomplished together.Links:Work with Jayne to improve sleep for your little one: https://thesnoozefest.com/If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Growing Up with A Sleep Consultant Mom: One Year Later, with Sid Havens

About a year ago, I sat down with my son, Sid, to record one of the most loved episodes of this podcast. We talked about what it’s like to have a mom who’s a sleep consultant, and people couldn’t get enough of it! So, we decided to do it again.A lot can change in a year. Sid is now 13, a little older and a lot funnier, and I’ve grown another year in my business. Together, we thought it would be fun to revisit the conversation and share how life has evolved for both of us.In this episode, Sid shares his perspective on what it’s like having a mom who works from home, how my flexible schedule impacts our family life, and some of the perks (and quirks) that come along with having a sleep consultant mom. We also talk about travel, freedom, and what it really means to build a business that allows me to show up as both a mom and an entrepreneur. If you’ve ever wondered what this career looks like from a family’s point of view, or you’re thinking about becoming a sleep consultant yourself, this conversation will give you an honest, lighthearted peek behind the curtain.Links:Sid’s website: https://sidsrundown.com/If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Family, Faith, and Flexibility with Jayne Havens

The past few weeks have been full in the very best ways. Between the Jewish holidays, school closures, and celebrating my son’s bar mitzvah, September and early October have been a complete whirlwind.Work has taken a bit of a back seat, but it hasn’t stopped. I’ve still been supporting families, checking in with CPSM students, and keeping things moving, just in a way that fits this season of life. This is exactly why I built my business the way I did. It gives me the freedom to lean into family when I need to and the flexibility to pick things back up when life settles down. That’s what this week’s podcast episode is all about. If you’ve ever dreamed of building a business that bends with your life instead of competing with it, I think this one will really resonate.

A Client Success Story with Jayne Havens

On this episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I share the story of Mia, a 27-month-old who was battling bedtime, waking multiple times overnight, and climbing out of her crib. Her parents tried a crib tent, but it wasn’t safe, and it wasn’t solving the problem. With a clear plan, lots of role play, and a fun technique called the Kissing Game, Mia quickly adjusted to her new sleep rules. Within days she was falling asleep confidently and independently, waiting for her OK-to-Wake clock, and making her parents proud. This case is a great reminder that toddlers are often more capable than we give them credit for. With a heavy dose of communication and follow through, even the toughest toddler sleep struggles can turn into big wins.If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Building a Business That Puts People First with Jayne Havens

When I first enrolled in a sleep consultant certification program, it gave me the information I needed, but it lacked something important: connection. No personal welcome. No opportunity to build a relationship with the course creator. And I’ve found the same to be true in other programs I’ve joined over the years.Center for Pediatric Sleep Management is different. From the very beginning, my goal has been for every student to feel seen, heard, and supported. CPSM was built on connection, and that same value guides the way I run my business every day.In this episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I’m sharing why connection matters so much, not just in online education, but in any business. Don't Be "Most People" with Jayne Havens

One question I hear all the time is, “Do most people who graduate from CPSM become successful?”It’s an honest question. But I think what people are really asking is, “Will I be successful if I enroll?”Here’s the truth: In any field—law, medicine, coaching, sleep consulting—many people don’t reach the level of success they want. It’s not because the training isn’t effective. It’s because most people don’t truly commit to their own success. The good news? That’s actually an opportunity for you. If you’re willing to be the exception—to take responsibility, to learn deeply, to show up consistently, and to refuse to quit—you can absolutely succeed in this industry. In this episode, I share why success isn’t guaranteed but is absolutely achievable. We talk about the difference between simply finishing a program and actually using what you learn to build a sustainable business. If you’re considering this path—or if you’re already on it but wondering how to reach the next level—I think you’ll find this conversation both honest and motivating.

The Flexibility We Work For with Jayne Havens

This week I'm sharing something personal and real. Every summer, my kids look forward to sleepaway camp in the Poconos—it's their favorite time of year. As they say in the camp world, they live "10 for 2." But this year, the day before the bus was set to leave, my daughter Ivy got sick. I talk about what it felt like to watch one child head off to camp while the other had to stay behind—and how heartbreaking that was for both of us. But I also share the unexpected gratitude I felt in the middle of it all: the ability to just be there for her without taking time off or asking permission.Because of my work as a sleep consultant, I could care for Ivy while still supporting my clients. It wasn’t easy, but it was possible—and that flexibility is something I don’t take for granted. If you’ve ever wondered what “freedom” really looks like when you run your own business, this episode is for you.
