Austin FC Brendan Hines-Ike joined Austin FC as a free agent on February 14, 2024. During his first season he made 28 MLS appearances with 25 starts, played the full 90 minutes in 7 of the team's 9 clean sheets, and scored two goals including a 93rd-minute winner in a 3-2 home victory over Colorado Rapids. Austin FC He made 33 starts in 2025 — the best season of his career — and his contract automatically renewed for 2026 after he met performance clauses.

Sims joined the Sooners in 2000, redshirting his freshman year as part of the BCS national championship team. He quickly emerged as a starter, earning freshman All-American recognition while playing both tackle positions before settling in at left tackle for his final three seasons (2002–2004). Over his college career (2000–2004), he accumulated 28 starts (including 22 at left tackle) and helped anchor offensive lines that contributed to Big 12 Conference titles in 2002 and 2004.Standing 6'5" and around 310–317 pounds, Sims was known for his size, strength (holding Oklahoma's position record for bench press at one point), and run-blocking ability.
