BBR Show #19 - Tang Soo Do form Wanshu - español
BLack Belt Radio Show #19 - Tang Soo Do form Wanshu
In this episode of Black Belt Radio, we take a closer look at the Tang Soo Do form Wanshu. Wanshu is a form that many of us have practiced for years, but its story reaches far beyond the movements themselves. Like many traditional forms, it carries with it a history shaped by different cultures, generations of practitioners, and the quiet process of passing knowledge from teacher to student. In this episode, I explore where Wanshu comes from, how it found its way into Tang Soo Do, and why its history is both meaningful and, at times, uncertain. Rather than trying to remove the mystery, we take the time to understand what we can, and appreciate the journey that brought this form to us. For me, studying the history of forms like Wanshu is not just about facts. It is about developing a deeper respect for the traditions we practice, and a stronger connection to the people who carried them forward. Black Belt Radio Show #17 - La Mentalidad Marcial

In the 'Old Days' we named our schools with a martial flavor and sold our programs as self-defense centers. Today, it's important to note that our martial arts programs help students · Do you emphasize an importance in academics at your school? · Do you ask to see the students report cards? Follow up if the grades are below average? · Compare your program to Learning Centers in your area. Are your programs worth less than what they are charging? How to condition your hands · Make a proper fist · Strike with just the first two knuckles · Strike soft objects, then work your way up to harder objects · Only students 16 years and older should attempt to strike hard objects Questions Send your questions to: [email protected] How to handle difficult Parents and Customers Contact the Show Email your Events, Questions, Comments, and Suggestions: Black Belt Radio Questions and Comments MySpace Page Twitter

Black Belt Radio Show #3
Black Belt Radio is now powered by a brand new studio. Hopefully this will be an improvement over the old laptop I was using to record the previous shows. Still working on levels so excuse the over the top opening theme music! On show #3 I discuss presenting a professional image and give some suggestions on what you can do to build your professional image. Grand Master Bong Soo Han The great Master Teacher, Bong Soo Han, champion of the martial arts, of the art of Hapkido, teacher of countless students, role model to millions, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend and Mentor, is terminally ill, and while still with us, is at the moment among his family and friends and making his peace with the world. Let it be known that we send our prayers to Grandmaster Han and his family, that we wish him peace, and that his leadership, his efforts, his guidance for so many years –has touched us, touched millions of people around the world, and that we promise him that in his honor we will continue to promote the martial arts with the courage, perseverance, kindness, and integrity that he modeled for us with his lifetime of work. We send him our love and our admiration. More info: http://www.martialinfo.com/comments/BongSooHan
