A long-closed Taco Bell in West Seattle got a full send-off complete with bagpipes, a dove release, candles, offerings, a tombstone, grieving attendees in black veils, and even a crying contest. I somehow ended up as a pallbearer carrying a literal headstone, surrounded by artists, weirdos, fashion icons, and people who absolutely understood the assignment.

I struggle with friendships, whether it be communicating or trying to get out of something because I actually just don't want to go but don't want to upset anyone. You know... the usual stuff. During Peace Corps, there were a few strikes, huelgas in Spanish, that occurred. All types of people went on strike for all types of reasons, and when the people spoke, the lawmakers listened. Change would happen. But this is a story about how one strike caused a 9 hour bus stop.

I listened to the audiobook of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson and it felt like a friend was giving me life advice that I actually wanted. Someone to tell me to live life for me and choose happiness but know it's not always easy. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a raw self-help book that empowers you to truly live. 10/10

After graduating with my Master's, I hit the road for some adventure and quality time with myself. My audio books, thoughts, and myself spent many of hours on the road soaking in the surrounding scenery. From HipCamps to friends' houses to my tent, I was always surrounded by wonderful nature and people. I highly recommend hitting the road and taking a drive to wherever feels right. It's an experience you'll never forget.

Weddings are a time of joy and love and connecting with friends and family. They're also a great time to meet single friends of friends that are interested in a cozy yet eventful evening. This was one such time, and it was fun, until it wasn't. I arrived excited for fun and I left feeling tense af, bruised, and hollow. How could something like this happen to me? How did I let this happen? What the actual f**k just happened to me? These were all the questions rattling in my typically quiet mind.

Nashville is always a fun time, but add a bachelorette party to it and it gets exponentially more fun!! From the pedal pub to spinning the wheel to dancing in the streets, it was quite the 24 hour trip!

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard America Tour 2024 has been incredible!! The Sundkids hit Gizztember hard starting with Chicago then STL then the Gorge!! Pumped for the Arkansas show in November. With their musical talent, incredible repertoire, high energy vibes, and awesome weirdo swarm fans, I wish I could see them over and over and over again. Every show I left in awe and full of inspiration! Thank you KGLW!

Semuc Champey is a hidden gem within the jungle of Guatemala. Our excellent tour guide, jungle boy, took us on an adventure through the bat caves, tubing down the river, jumping off a 10 m high rock, hiking to see the overlook, and more. It's quite the long bus ride, but it was totally worth it!

Night bus to Flores was a dream, and Tikal was incredible. Pyramids already blow my mind, but to hear the sound of a Quetzal when you clap in front of the largest pyramid is insane!!

Hiking Volcan Acatenango near Antigua in Guatemala is quite the experience. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Was it rough? Definitely. Would I do it again? Nope. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking adventure and a challenge!

Does anyone else match the general vibe of other people? Customer service people I'm looking at you. It's hard to be at the front of a coffee shop being a chameleon to everyone's vibes and energies. I start off strong and it's up to you, the customer, to respond. It's a ping pong match of conversational energy. Throw in a grump or an accent and I'm all over the place.

Have you ever had Chiropractic work done? Oof it's amazing! A little snap, crackle, and pop can make a huge difference. Highly recommend!

I love to sleep, alot. With four pillows, a nightguard, and an eye mask, I'm ready to drift into the abyss. But why don't I dream? Why do I twirl all night long? What the heck am I doing in my sleep?

Studying abroad was incredible! Who else gets to go to the Running of the Bulls on their 21st birthday!? A little Spanish and a lot of kalimotxo (red wine and coca-cola) will get you just about anywhere. Just remember to bring a little extra toilet paper....

As a woman, I feel like I'm still learning more about my body. We don't talk about periods, bodily functions, birth, and so much more. We shouldn't have to go into these experiences blind. Our bodies do incredible things and are made up of pure magic. That's something to be proud of!

Calling all swimmers!! Please tell me you also pee in the pool... You may not want to, but your body knows the drill. And to master a flip turn pee....what an accomplishment! Swimmers are cool and weird, and I'm proud to have been one.

Lifeguard skills came in handy this week. Not only did I have to worry about slinging espresso shots, but also about saving customer lives. Stay safe people!

Dad was out of town so Aunt Brittany stepped in to help. I had a window into motherhood and I'm shook. All you parents deserve a nap!

Peace Corps Costa Rica was an incredible time in my life. I especially learned that there is no kleenex and blowing your nose isn't really a thing. Blowing up the bathroom is buttttt you don't comment on it. I feel like the whole community heard me blow my nose....

Headed down to Cabo for a Bachelorette trip last year. It was EPIC! We met some Canadians dude that weren't into my looks, but I won them over by quoting my faves, Letterkenny and Shoresy. We danced, we ate, I sweat, and we repeated.
