Blueberry Pancakes

A retrospective on the TV show Flight of the Conchords, hosted by two sisters and Sean who appreciate all the best things in life.

  1. 168

    Evicted

What a way to end a show about two guys who came to conquer America one fan at a time. They didn’t even have that one fan the whole time. Murray does his best to manifest a happy ending, which they do get despite some trouble with the embassy…There’s never trouble with Blueberry Pancakes! Continue to follow us for many shenanigans to come!

  2. 167

    Wingmen

The moon is a horny old drunkard and there are goldfish on every surface in the apartment! Jemaine is both Bret and Murray’s wingman and he is exhausted! Mel, Dave and Eugene also wingman for Bret. John is Jemaine’s wingman but forgets and goes too far. Murray is Jemaine's wingman with the cops and keeps him out of trouble. Greg is always Murray’s wingman (aka scapegoat) and Doug is always Mel’s. Let blueberry pancakes be your wingman!

  3. 166

    New Zealand Town

Murray and New Zealand's Prime Minister are developing New Zealand Town, complete with Gary the sheep, Maori warriors in their natural habitat, bungee jumping and a replica of the tooth brush fence! Bret and Jemaine can't help because they have been introduced to a very addictive substance that gives them all the confidence they need--hair gel! They discover they can actually be cool and maybe even get people to come to their gigs. Trouble comes when they wake up one morning to find the hair gel has run out and so has their confidence. Murray convinces them that they never needed the gel in the first place, so they play a gig all excited before discovering that they actually do need the hair gel to be cool...also blueberry pancakes.

  4. 165

    Prime Minister

Everyone is benefiting from this agency for look-a-likes. Bret and Jemaine get a gig, Jemaine gets a girlfriend, Mel makes out with Bret, and Murray introduces the Prime Minister of New Zealand to the president of the United States! New Zealand is only 18 hours away from New York, but blueberry pancakes are wherever you want them to be!

  5. 164

Love is the Weapon of Choice

Bret and Jemaine host a benefit to raise money and awareness for epileptic dogs, for which Bret is also developing a vaccine. No one is surprised to find out it’s actually to impress a girl they both want to date, which plays havoc on their friendship. This episode has everything: stolen dogs, slow motion doves flying, a family portrait of Bret and Jemaine and their baby, a proper duel and maybe even blueberry pancakes!

  6. 163

    Unnatural Love

Jemaine accidentally sleeps with an Australian and then accidentally a few more times. He accidentally makes her his girlfriend, and then she accidentally robs their apartment and tapes Bret to the door. Go nightclub, listen to dancing music and eat Blueberry Pancakes!

  7. 162

Murray Takes It To The Next Level

Electric Copper and White Gold-Rust Belt are best of friends, and Murray wants to have that level of friendship with Bret and Jemaine. They are on board to be friends with Murray, but not with his other friend, Jim. Mel's dreams are having real consequences, and Murray did not bring an extra jock for Jim. They could have all been friends over a big stack of blueberry pancakes!

  8. 161

    The Tough Brets

Everyone is experiencing dissing and having hurt feelings (one song is even called “Tears of a Rapper”), except the Australians—they’ll never learn…and Steve. Stay cool and eat blueberry pancakes! Don’t forget about J!

  9. 160

    New Cup

Bret wanted to have tea at the same time as Jemaine so he bought a second cup for their household. This launches a series of events which lands them both in jail for prostitution. Selling Superstraws to Mel and playing gigs without guitars can only last so long, eventually you need blueberry pancakes!

  10. 159

    A Good Opportunity

Why did you come , Doug, if you didn't want to light a fire? Murray is too fancy until he's not, Bret has one shoe, and not many people know this but women have very different dental needs from men. We're not sure Dave knows any actual women, and the Polish Doggy Bounce may be worse than then the Crazy Dogggz...and NOT better than Blueberry Pancakes!

  11. 158

    The Third Conchord

Doggie do’s and doggie don’ts, doggie will’s and doggie won’ts! There’s no one there when Mel’s not there at a gig because she has a new band to follow—The Crazy Dogggz. Get out your guit-board, play along to a crazy bongo solo and eat blueberry pancakes!

  12. 157

    The Actor

Bret and Jemaine hire an actor to help cheer up Murray. It works a little too well, and starts to go too far, which is fun for everyone for a moment. Murray has his proudest moment just before one of his saddest moments. But Ben will pay him back when he gets to Hollywood which is now, and Murray has hot underwear fresh out of the microwave!

  13. 156

    New Fans

Talking about brunettes not fighter jets! The band has 2 new fans, to Murray's delight and Mel's dismay. Is it because they tried beer or is it Murray's goatee that has increased their rock and roll image to Pretty Prince of Parties? You will never confuse a dry piece of skin on the floor with blueberry pancakes!

  14. 155

    What Goes On Tour

What do the North Jersey University Women's Water Polo Team and half a sexy fish have in common? The band has a warm-up tour organized and funded by the great band manager, Murray. With extravagant minibar purchases, a groupie following them around on tour, smashing a TV out the window and walking around in shrinking leather suits, the band can't get much more Rock and Roll.

  15. 154

    Girlfriends

The whole thing could have gone very differently if Jemaine had known whether he was talking to Lisa or Felicia and not done a swap. Per IMDB "Murray negotiates a record deal for the band"....join Blueberry Pancakes for this episode to find out if and how that's even possible!

  16. 153

    Drive By

Dragon tears turn into jellybeans, old enemies become friends against a common enemy, Bret and Jemaine learn how to flip the bird, Albi isn't racist anymore and Murray is paying no attention to any of it! Are blueberry pancakes Australian?

  17. 152

    Bowie

Receiving transmission...This is Bowie to Bowie: Wear the funky, funky eye patch. Listen to David Bowie, not the junior professor of psychology. He told Bret to put makeup on his face, not to put lightning bolts on his penis and show it to the man at the greeting card company. This is Bowie back to Bowie: Eat the blueberry pancakes!

  18. 151

    Sally Returns

Sally is engaged, but that doesn’t stop her from dating or accepting creepy homemade gifts from other guys. Bret is too loud of an eater, Jemaine’s star super-nova’d, and Coco is suddenly not a factor anymore. They should've made blueberry pancakes for Sally’s birthday!

  19. 150

    Yoko

Mel, Murray and Jemaine are all against Bret having a girlfriend. Even Coco isn't that sure. But Bret is sure, he'll even choose her over the band if he has to. But he's gonna miss the Band Rotunda Tour before realizing that love is similar to tape--it's the very strongest adhesive. Love is also similar to Blueberry Pancakes-sweet and fluffy!

  20. 149

    Mugged

Jemaine can't let it go that Bret ran away when they were being mugged, but they both learned a lesson from the muggers. There's so much danger when The Hiphopopotomus and The Rhymenoceros get together that one of them may be dead...what? Maybe he did eat blueberry pancakes!

  21. 148

    Bret Gives Up the Dream

There are no gigs, so Bret gets a job for the money but then isn’t available when a gig does come around. But maybe he wants to do his job instead of the band now, and of course it’s all about a girl (not Mel!) Quit overthinking, just join the band and eat blueberry pancakes!

  22. 147

Flight of the Blueberry Pancakes, Episode 1: Sally

It's helmet-hair night so Bret can't come with Jemaine on his date with Sally, but even though Jemaine walked on the outside of her she doesn't want to date him anymore. If you could pawn blueberry pancakes maybe you could get outfits like Daft Punk for your music video (and to hide f rom Mel!) Join your favorite retrospecting podcast Blueberry Pancakes for fun with Flight of the Conchords!

  23. 146

    Engram Pattersky

Engram Pattersky is evicting Nick and Jess from the loft so they get everyone together for one last game of True American packing edition--if you land on something, you pack it...unless it's Blueberry Pancakes, then you eat them immediately! The last episode of New Girl is NOT the last episode of Blueberry Pancakes! Never fear, we have many shows and ideas for retrospection, so we are sticking around. Join us next time for Flight of the Conchords!

  24. 145

The Curse of the Pirate Bride

It’s just like Jess and Nick to be getting married but their wedding is cursed. Aly is having the baby but it’s at the same time as the wedding. Joan tries to help but just makes Jess want to eat cake. Russell’s looking for his sixth wife but he won’t find her here. Everyone told Blaze he’d lose the limo, but he thought it was too big. If you don’t have the password, you’ll have to pay Ruth $100 to get some Blueberry Pancakes!

  25. 144

    Mario

All of the couples of the group are having date night at the same time, and of course none of it goes as planned. But in the end everyone’s families are growing, and finally Winston can see (and hate!) the blue of blueberry pancakes.

  26. 143

    Godparents

Nick is trying to convince Ruth to like him so he can be her godfather. Schmidt is trying to convince people to buy salsa so he can be good at his job. Cece is trying to convince the school security guard that she belongs here, and Ruth is just trying to get her peanut butter sandwich…or was it blueberry pancakes?

  27. 142

    Where the Road Goes

Nick is lending people money, Sam is wearing a cat shirt, Outside Dave is inside, Robby is doing an interpretive dance as the red laser dot Ferguson loved so much and Coach has still got teeth in his teeth. Don’t worry, there are still good New Girl shenanigans and good blueberry pancakes to be had.

  28. 141

    Lillypads

Jess is a hippie, Benjamin will be the Joker, Nick is the most throat-punchable boy, Winston was just a hot-blooded Chicago teenager, Schmidt and Cece want to be Lillypads people, but Ruth gonna do what Ruth gonna do, and that is eating blueberry pancakes!

  29. 140

    Tuesday Meeting

Can you have a breast pump in a meeting? Can you have a fire pit in your bedroom? Can you do a movie, and can Senator Porcupine put on his own tie? Pour coffee into chardonnay and pair with blueberry pancakes!

  30. 139

    About Three Years Later

Musical chairs with no music is just chairs! What would a toddler’s birthday be without a dress code, and what would Schmidt’s face be without a mustache? Ruth just wanted a Wonder Woman birthday party, and Bob just wanted to see his daughter cry! Where did Nick’s shin go?

  31. 138

    Five Stars for Beezus

Everyone else seems to know Nick is in love with Jess and Jess is in love with Nick except Nick and Jess. Everyone knows Cece is pregnant except Cece. Break the news with a house full of flowers and blueberry pancakes!

  32. 137

    San Diego

Jess needs more cans to recycle, Aly brought up trains, and somehow all the Michaels in the world manage to deal with this every day. Grab your freshly stone-washed jean jacket and push everyone else in front of the shark while you eat blueberry pancakes, and try not to look at the monster’s butthole.

  33. 136

    Misery

Jess’s dad loves a surprise visit for no reason at all. Schmidt and Cece are allowed to visit the loft since moving out for no reason at all. Winston records a fake sports radio show for his mom, an invited guest. Blueberry pancakes are always invited for no reason at all! Join us for THIS ill-advised talk radio alternative reality!

  34. 135

    Socalyalcon VI

If Nick ever, ever needs a blazer, no matter how late it is, he can call Schmidt and wake him up until the day he dies. How many is too many points of entry, and is a house really so much better than an apartment? How many blueberry pancakes is too many? Trick question—you can never have too many!

  35. 134

    Young Adult

Who is the audience for the Pepperwood Chronicles? Blue collar nautical workers on the coastline of Maine or preteen middle schoolers at Jess’s school? Who does Ferguson belong to, and is he destined to geek out over mayonnaise the rest of his life? When will Cece ever pack and will Schmidt help her? What is an “ut?” We’ll take blueberry muffins (or pancakes) for lunch!

  36. 133

    Rumspringa

Jess and Schmidt have both been promoted, but before they start their first big day of work, Nick takes them both on the “Rumspringa” adventure they need. No one’s been Rhonda’d in awhile and Jess can make a pillow out of anything, so eat your Blueberry Pancakes and enjoy the "Boy Ride!”

  37. 132

    Operation: Bobcat

Sparkles are in! What would you rather get for a Valentine’s Day gift—a nudie card with a $20 stapled to it or tickets to something called “The Clippers?” Quit cleaning out your purse, put on your bobcat costume and go to the same froyo place so you can finally get a free one! The best Valentine’s gift would be blueberry pancakes!

  38. 131

    Glue

Nick goes for a run in what appears to be swim trunks. Aly helps Schmidt and Cece paint their house even though it doesn’t need it while Winston plants cactus for the first phase of an annoyingly elaborate plan. Nick and Jess get high on glue and Reagan waits behind a lady buying 700 individually-priced buttons. We're tipping tables and eating blueberry pancakes!

  39. 130

    The Hike

Hike, hike, baby! Nick is a heavyset ginger boy named Wheelchair Timmy. Winston fell asleep in the bathtub. Jess and Robby both like the chocolate and peanuts in trail mix, but Nick likes the raisins. Shake with two hands and eat blueberry pancakes!

  40. 129

    Cece's Boys

No one touches my purse! Gift baskets are great, but where else can you find a fake cat hand on a stick? In this episode, someone has off-the-charts follicle strength, someone has a model who got lost inside a closet, and someone has a loose bear in the park. Everyone can have blueberry pancakes if they want!

  41. 128

    The Cubicle

OGCB for life! Robby might sue, Donovan wants to be a cop, Reagan can’t stay awake, even Ferguson can’t hang around for all the awkward conversations! What does my home office need? Blueberry pancakes!

  42. 127

    Raisin's Back

This time on New Girl: Secrets Revealed…It must be Opposite Day in loft 4D. Winston is creating music he hates, Schmidt is buying tube socks at the grocery store, Nick is not making a big deal about Reagan moving in and Jess is staying all the way out of it …and I don’t want any blueberry pancakes!

  43. 126

    Christmas Eve Eve

Ferguson dressed like Rudolph, a bean bag chair made out of oatmeal and a blanket, Santa’s helper Robby, Retired Rear Admiral Jay Garage-A-Roo, a game of one-on-one Pictionary. Must be Christmas Eve Eve!

  44. 125

    Es Good

Nick is a man of the people, Schmidt is above the people but is trying to be more like Nick and finds he likes the people—so wild and lazy. Robby designs factories and recorded an album with Santana when he was 17, but warm homemade psychedelic wine es good too. And so are blueberry pancakes!

  45. 124

    James Wonder

James Wonder, a new elementary school at sea, a blender incapable of making bubble gum smoothies, robot mailboxes and a gift as unique and permanent as it gets! Must be a new episode of Blueberry Pancakes!

  46. 123

    Last Thanksgiving

From the ceremonial lighting of the first burner to pure unfiltered Robby right from the tap, must be a New Girl Thanksgiving! Gavin is a cad, Robby is SO nice, Nick cooks with alcohol. Winston wants someone to understand his pain. Schmidt is the Man of the House, Jess’s turkey ends up on the floor and Cece is just a good friend to all. Not much has changed in 6 seasons of loft Thanksgivings. Blueberry pancakes are a Thanksgiving Day food, right?

  47. 122

    Ready

Nick tries to order soup in the bar. Jess ends up feeding soup to Robby in the bar. Schmidt tangles with a fat-man scarf, Nick can’t stop staring at the new bartender and Winston is getting too damn confident! Flip the rain stick over and flip the blueberry pancakes!

  48. 121

    Jaipur Aviv

Yay or nay—the name Jaipur Aviv for Schmidt and Cece’s new house? Yay or nay—a semi-famous movie from the 70’s was filmed there? Yay or nay—Reagan should be the newest roommate in the loft? Yay ALWAYS for blueberry pancakes!

  49. 120

    Homecoming

Fitzgerald High's distinguished Alumni of the Year, Schmidt, is getting honored, but Cece is afraid of Schmidt’s mom, Jess is afraid of New York and Nick and Winston are being men of means for once! Louise’s car will be okay after surviving a Brooklyn 99 crossover. Got to be gritty to live in the city!

  50. 119

    Single & Sufficient

Car antenna in the dishwasher or retractable s’mores pole? Wanting to be single going on a trip with a bunch of singles only to bond and question if you want to be single? No notes because Schmidt is trying to teach Nick a lesson or because Nick is a good writer? Blueberry pancakes with butter or syrup? The answer to that one is both!! 13/52 isn’t too bad…
