  1. 84

    Chapter 68: Donnybrook Theatre

The evil people in the world insist on making our streets and neighborhoods unsafe these days and it's no wonder the great many of us seek solace in nostalgia. Back in the days there were troubles then too but the majority can't help to think that the madness is at an all time high these days. Here's just one of those nostalgic examples. R4 and his brother Oz head over to a place where more than us two were needed. Dedicated to my dearly departed Mother, Barbara Figueroa on her Heavenly Birthday.

  2. 83

Chapter 67: Edinburgh Latenights (RRR Vol.2)

The longest government shutdown has finally come to a close before this episode was done. Uncertainty still hasn't dissipated in the least. Meanwhile, yet another destructive hurricane rips through the Greater Antilles causing all kinds of death and destruction. This violent storm also caused a disruption in our weather patterns to where Summer suddenly switched to Winter, promising a long season of abnormal cold. R4 seeks solace when he revisits the subreddit r/Edinburgh to read about the goings-on across the pond. Sadly, to his chagrin, he finds their nightlife is not that much different from misadventures of the nightlife happening here at home.

  3. 82

    Chapter 66: University Billiards

R4 reminisces about his younger years playing pool when he takes us all back to 2001. At the time, a popular Little Italy Pool Hall was a great place for all of those in the surrounding area to hang out, until it wasn't.

  4. 81

    Chapter 65: The Oscar

Those who live in the Highbridge section of The Bronx and the Washington Heights part of Manhattan are very familiar with the effrontery that is the nearly two story statue that stands over the entryway of an infamous tropical bar. R4 while on the way to work a gig there, courageously takes us into the mind of a man who's had to carry the heaviness of just finding out his girlfriend at the time was cheating on him. You know how you don't even want to wish something like this on an enemy? It rendered R4 so evil that he does wish this to his foes and worse.

  5. 80

    Chapter 64: Feel A Way

This episode is a classic Comedy-Drama. R4 heads to Brooklyn to Kingdom where he worked at for almost a year, when a shift in energy switched the place from somewhere he loved to go, to a place he hated and didn't want to stay not a second longer. Since there is Brutal Humor in this episode, discretion at the highest level is strictly advised.

  6. 79

    Chapter 63: America Only

According to a passionate R4, "America First" is now "America Only"; feeling that America should mind its own problems before patrolling the World as its police. With many examples shown in the beginning of the episode, brought to you by the Associated Press, it begs the question for this so called American Government: are we truly America First or not? Now for those who are sick of the lies and can see what's happening right before their eyes, this commentary is for you.

  7. 78

    Chapter 62: Disgruntled

Bad enough he refuses to seek therapy, but for some reason, R4 sure loves to speak into the microphone with reckless abandon about the 27 year "career" he refers to so much.

  8. 77

Chapter 61: Who's Man Is This

Borrowing from an old Force Fed Digital program, R4 saw fit to reminisce about the not so good times in his old crew.

  9. 76

    Chapter 60: Reign's Rightful Rant (Pt.2)

After reading off some much needed good news, R4 presses play on the tape machine to conclude the session between himself and Lady Reign. This series is dedicated to the memory of Jamal Bailey. RIP Fellow Man In Black!

  10. 75

    Chapter 60: Reign's Rightful Rant Pt. 1

Back from a forced hiatus, admittedly not yet in usual form, R4 enlisted the help from the Dr. Melfi to his Tony Soprano, Lady Reign once again. The tables are turned this time and R4 has the notepad, while Reign is the one on the couch for once.

  11. 74

    Chapter 59: Hard Row

R4 has written an ode dedicated to the beloved Armed Forces of the United States, about working at a Bikers Rally in Coney Island and meeting a soldier just coming home with his fellow soldier buddies enjoying the sights and sounds of the surrounding Amusement Park. This episode is dedicated to the loving memory of one of my dear friends, Lourdes Enrique. En Paz Descanse.

  12. 73

Chapter 58: Random Reddit Readings (Vol.1)

While searching for some worthwhile bullet points for upcoming episodes, R4 encountered a Reddit Group based out of Scotland, who just recently posted about Bouncer Violence.

  13. 72

    Chapter 57: Unlucky

R4 visits the premiere NYC Casino, out in the boondocks of Queens next to that racetrack back in the year 2014. Speaking on yet more reasons that one should choose a different career path far away from this one.

  14. 71

    Chapter 56: Vaqueron

R4 takes us back to Queens to a Mexican spot in Astoria that was big on happenings for such a small space.

  15. 70

    Chapter 55: Podcaster Part Two

Wrapping up this miniseries with more unfortunate tales of the endeavor of finding footing in the podcasting world.

  16. 69

    Chapter 55: Podcaster Part 1

After a nice time at a bar R4 returned home to record a Live on Instagram for the first time in over a year to discuss the persuasion of social media clout and income via rapping or DJing. Later when he decided nothing was gonna happen with the music business, he chose to go for podcasting instead.

  17. 68

Chapter 54: When Will We Breathe Again?

This episode is dedicated to beloved mom Jennira 'Mama Bear' Roundtree, the young scholar and athlete Caleb Rijos and every one else affected by the unrelenting madness that are these times. R4 attempts to editorialize this as he is a grandfather in fear as well as hope of what the future holds for his own grandchildren.

  18. 67

    Chapter 53: Disabuse

Astonished at the viral video showing the brutality and unfortunate lethal demise of an inmate, Robert Brooks for the world to see, taking place at Marcy Correctional Facility, R4 reads an article from The Gothamist about the constant abuses taking place in prisons. Rest in peace to Mr. Brooks and the countless other victims of this ongoing scourge.

  19. 66

Chapter 52: The More Things Change, The More We Stay Insane

During the show's short hiatus, quite the lot has happened. Shootouts in New York City, while nothing new, unfortunately, made the front page when an assailant murdered a managed care CEO, not allegedly. The Bronx got kids running amuck shooting each other, using innocent victims as shields. Care workers get violently assaulted in Homeless Shelters. A violent, seemingly crazed illegal immigrant takes the life of an elderly woman, by setting a train on fire. With all of these events happening back to back to back, one is forced to relieve the pain of the present with a little nostalgia. NYC was not so dangerous and the nightlife still had somewhat a life before life started lifing at 1000 mph! This episode is dedicated to the memory of Father Chris.

  20. 65

    Chapter 51: Hot & Wet

We revisit Old Gold while it was still well within its first years when it was a Tropical Club. The promoters on a hot July night in the early 2010s, had the bright idea of putting together a Foam Party. Yes. It's exactly how it sounds like. A bunch of kids playing inside a huge blow up pool with bubbles and foam floating onto everyone on the dance floor; it had to be seen to be believed.

  21. 64

Chapter 50: When Common Sense Becomes Nonsense

On the 63rd episode of the Bouncepod, Chapter 50, R4 celebrates his feat with another one as he pays homage to the guys from Force Fed Digital's flagship show "From Common Sense To Nonsense" as they just launched their own historical 100th episode!

  22. 63

    Chapter 49: Boss Babies

Returning to the area of Long Island City, better known as Queensbridge, we revisit the Old Gold nightclub where it officially became a Gentleman's Club. R4 doubled as both Head of Security and Assistant Manager.

  23. 62

    Chapter 48: Masquerade

A fellow bouncer asked R4 to fill in for him, refusing to ask any other colleague. R4 was happy to do it. We journey across the Triborough to Astoria–Ditmars to a nicely sized nightclub/hookah bar, where R4 watches over a Halloween Party, on a level he's never seen before.

  24. 61

    Chapter 47: Blackdays In Greenpoint

A higher up in the Security Company R4 worked for, offered him a Head of Security position. However he had to give up his post at his favorite spot to take over an infamous rock club in North Brooklyn.

  25. 60

    Chapter 46: "The Sequel Finalé"

To finish up this Miniseries of the therapy session between the future Doctor Reign and R4, we start with another cryptic skit, trying to warn us all to stay aware. This Miniseries is dedicated to the brave warriors rebuilding in the midst of the aftermath of those recent monster hurricanes.

  26. 59

Chapter 46: Reign Again (The Sequel Pt.1)

Prefacing with an essay by Paul Harvey which was recorded back in the 1960's predicts the state of the world we're in now. Where the love has dissipated to debauchery without any of what made it special to ever be seen or heard again anymore. On this 46th Chapter of Bounce!, the returning Lady Reign sits across from R4 once again to further discuss these very matters such as the safety and security in relationships and what to do about the love for one another that's seemingly been lost.

  27. 58

    Chapter 45: Harlem Heights

Today were at this little Dominican restaurant bar called La Americana, located in what used to be the very border of North Harlem heading Downtown and Washington Heights heading Uptown. R4 reminisces about his happy days at his old elementary school and goes on a nostalgic tour of his old neighborhood before miserably punching the clock.

  28. 57

Chapter 44: "La Mania De Alto Manhattan"

The Mania of Upper Manhattan is the translation. We take it back to 1997 because of how sick we are of 2024, making us nostalgically traverse to the pleasures of the past. R4 takes the Uptown train to 200th Street where you better not mistake that part of North Manhattan as Washington Heights, because the folks from around that immediate vicinity, will pleasantly remind you where you are. We head to the middle of Dyckman Street and visit a former movie theater that is now a pretty fancy nightclub.

  29. 56

    Chapter 43: "9, 10, 11" (Pt.2)

Concluding this tribute as R4 thinks back to simpler times such as the very weekend before the catastrophically tragic event and day in infamy took place. Starting with a prologue reminding us how much of a target the Twin Towers were and how disgustingly despicable it is all politicized. We then follow up with a preface from Wrestling Legend and former Minnesota Governor, Jesse Ventura and his quest for the truth. Once again, this Miniseries is dedicated to the Angels of 9/11.

  30. 55

    Chapter 43: "9, 10, 11" (Part 1)

When reminiscing about tragedy forces one to reminisce about something else, such as the first times R4 ever visited a club, without working in one for once. R4 takes us back to the 70s, to when his parents took him to his very first club when he was a toddler. Then to the 80s when he visits the legendary Studio 54 for the first time and finally, in the 2000s, a weekend of fun leads into a very sad week. This miniseries is dedicated to the Angels of 9/11. If you're not watching over us, rest in peace, power and paradise.

  31. 54

    Chapter 42: Hookah! Not Hooker!

A fun night it should've been, when gorgeous exotic women perform belly dancing and stripping in a smoky atmosphere where everyone is getting their Hookah on at the Manager's Birthday Gala. However, R4's will and patience is severely put to the test this night. He's not alone as far as Security is concerned, so...

  32. 53

    Chapter 41: Madness

Another visit to the Metricopolis Nightclub, the infamous Midtown Manhattan hot spot where they hosted a party on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend.

  33. 52

    Chapter 40 Underdateable

An unfocused R4, mopes about during his commute to a new gig at a place in BK, not too long after breaking up with his BX girlfriend.

  34. 51

Chapter 39: Protect And Serve. Seriously

Because of recent events, R4 takes a moment to get at supposed fellow human beings who commit the most evil crimes amongst their own people. Police Officers or fellow Security Guards cannot call themselves such upstanding titles, when they commit such abhorrent acts, especially toward their fellow human being. R4 takes the time to read the names of people whose lives were taken by police brutality. This episode is dedicated to everyone whose families have been affected by this.

  35. 50

    Chapter 38: Prequel Finalé

The last installment to the three part Miniseries where the retired veteran bouncer R4 and the future doctor Reign conclude their interview.

  36. 49

    Chapter 38: Prequel Pt. II

This is the second installment to the Miniseries about R4 sitting down with the future journalist and psychologist Reign for an elaborate Q&A session.

  37. 48

    Chapter 38: Queues & Ayes-The Prequel

An aspiring journalist, future psychologist and avid listener of the podcast sits down with R4 for an interview in Part 1 of the miniseries.

  38. 47

    Chapter 37: Retail Detail

We start with a passionate preface from Wrestling Legend James E. Cornette, as R4 introduces us to a young man by the name of Zaire Brown; an avid listener of the podcast. He is willing to share a few tales of chaos and disorder from his point of view as a Loss Prevention Agent and a Cashier of different famous retail stores.

  39. 46

Chapter 36 " A Treat Out Of Queens"

Our favorite former bouncer takes us to East Queens where he worked a gig in one of the tiniest places ever allowed to be a place of assembly, let alone a Strip Club.

  40. 45

    Chapter 35: Lost List

R4 straight butchers the pronunciations of a lot of these names, but who cares? To borrow the words from Sister Souljah, from the Midnight series,"these people can't go to hell quick enough"! And also borrowing from my folks over at Supertrife Lo Life YouTube Channel, all of this is "ALLEGEDLY" in all caps! Guess we could all say this is all in good fun but, it's so bad it's sad. Dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of Universal Lo Life's chapter of the mighty Lo Life family who are currently celebrating the biggest Polo Party Weekend ever

  41. 44

    Chapter 34: In Hell's Kitchen

R4 speaks candidly about the fairness of holidays and misadventures at his gig in a gay club.

  42. 43

    Chapter 33 1/3: Rights 103-Constitutional Amendments

The United States Constitution has been edited and revised many times since its inception. The First Ten Amendments were to be known as the Bill Of Rights. 17 additional amendments were introduced to correct many party controversies. R4 attempts to add a 21st century touch to the 18th century scroll, that was later edited in the 19th and 20th centuries.

  43. 42

Chapter 33: Rights 102-The United States Bill Of Rights

The Constitution is a document dating back to the late 1700's. R4 attempts to pick apart all the amendments and read aloud what most of us think we know about it. This is part one of a two part miniseries.

  44. 41

    Chapter 32: Angels & Demons

Associated Press news clips and a New York Post article read by R4 bring a shining bright light to the unfortunate darkness of this highly stressful industry. Dedicated to all who fell victim to these tragedies.

  45. 40

    Chapter 31 Kingsbridge Rich & I (Part 2)

R4 and Rich conclude the conversation pertaining to the greatest of times and the not so great ones, mental and physical well-being, and show love to our neighbors in our neighborhood as well as beyond the block.

  46. 39

Chapter 31 Kingsbrisge Rich and I (Part 1)

On this edition of Bounce I introduce my former neighbor, friend of over 30 years, fellow podcaster as well as stablemate from the Force Fed Digital family. We discuss the night we gathered the crew and decided to leave the hood to go clubbing without a care in the world. We will go the "My Bronx Story" route and play a little music in the background while me and Kingsbridge Rich reminisce about the best times.

  47. 38

    Chapter 30: “Not so Happy”

While R4 should be in a celebratory mood, considering this is the 30th installment of the Bounce Series, he isn't. Working one of his favorite places, it just so happened to be not of his favorite days in The Happy Place in Brooklyn.

  48. 37

    Chapter 29: “Rights 101”

Bounce is a podcast which not only chronicles the life of a former NYC Bouncer, but also a platform that tries to keep fellow men and women in black abreast of the labyrinth that is the law. On this episode, R4 looks up scenarios in the ACLU website pertaining to our rights when stopped by police.

  49. 36

Chapter 28: "Last Lost" Part 2

On the last lost episode, the partners who worked a decade and a half together and even better friends wrap up the half decade old conversation as if it were talked about just yesterday.

  50. 35

Chapter 28 "Last Lost" Part 1

Dusting off the last lost episode featuring my former partner and great friend, Rocky Cruz as we shoot from the hip about this job. We adamantly discuss the differences between the bouncer and the security officer, and why we feel strongly about what we say we are. Recorded back in 2019.
