It truly is kids, all about the Derby.  This one is short and sweet with horses, post positions and odds.  A little about why post position matters, who is sitting pretty this year (and it isn't the favorite - they drew the number 1 post) and who isn't.  Who has already scrated. A personal request for the singing of My Old Kentucky Home and that about does it!Happy Friday Ya'll and Happy Derby Day!!!

The First Lawsuit against an NIL QB has been launched!  Looks like the SEC will rule Selection Sunday for the NCAA Tourney (much to the dismay of the Big Ten), Why are NCAA Refs so high on that pedestal, especially when they can be so bad and what about those boys of the USA Hockey team, along with all the other great men and women of the USA who did so brilliantly -Happy Friday Ya'll

SEEMS like an odd title, but considering MJ is on cold meds, the Buckeyes lost to Indiana, Kentucky has a new football coach who is hitting it hard and the basketball team sucks wind right now . . .  AND MJ had NO notes . . . The CFP is upon us and the "committee" has deemed it necessary to put OSU and Indiana on a collision course.  We'll see how that works out for everyone.But there is a bright spot . . . let's hear it for the UK Women's Volleyball team who is on their way to the Elite 8!  Go get 'em girls!!!!Happy Friday ya'll

The title has absolutely nothing to do with anything MJ talks about this week . . . it has everything to do with the 1 minute gap in the audio between minutes 10 and 11!  Just wanted to give you heads up.Some very close football games last week, and some wins coming at literally the very last second.  Barnburners for sure!!Kentucky had games in basketball and football and the outcomes are probably not what you'd expect.  Left this Bourbon and Buckeyes girl in a state of shock and disbelief - HAPPY FRIDAY YA'LL!

Yes, there is some humble pie to be eaten, if you listened to last weeks episode . . . you know why!  If you didn't listen, I explain it (much to my chagrin).  The 1st CFP (College Football Playoff) poll has come out and it's as much of a s***show as the AP Poll.A little info on the NBA cheating scandal, and yes, the FBI is involved . . . among some others!Women's college volleyball makes an appearance and one Mr. J Gatsby also makes an appearance . . .  A VERY LOUD ONE!  As well as my allergies - lots - o - sneezing!HAPPY FRIDAY YA'LL

The title is about the "Pre-season" basketball season that has commenced.  We, The Basketball Wildcats, beat the Pres-season #1 team, Purdue and all they could talk about was, well it's pre-season, it doesn't really count, etc.  Well . . . as I mention in this week's episode, You have to be ready to play regardless of the status of game, i.e. pre-season, not a game that's counted, etc.  The irony of all of this?  We are down by 10 points to GEORGETOWN, 3:35 left to play!  So I will try not to choke on the crow I'm eating!!A different way to look at the top 25, the latest on how hot Mark Stoop's seat really is, who might the UK powers that be looking at to take over and HOW ABOUT THOSE BLUEJACKTS?Have a Happy and safe Halloween AND Happy Friday Ya'll

I think I said, "I know", a hundred million times (when you listen to this week's episode, you will understand)!I have some interesting stats from one of the games and I don't want to spoil it for you . . . So I will call it Name That Game, and you probably will be able to without me telling you who it is.And again, those stupid top 25 rankings.  When they get it right . . . MJ makes a brief comment on the state of NOT being able to watch her own hockey team, The BlueJackets!  And, she is not happy about it.A longer statement about the Top 25 in college football (and yes, she knows she talked about this last week . . . but it just went further off the rails after last weeks games)!And last, but certainly not least . . . The college football coaches game called, "Just how hot is your seat?"

MJ has a bone to pick with the Top 25 rankings (this is nothing new or different)!She also has a theory on the Mark Stoops "situation" and is willing to take over any time!  If they pay him $9mill a year, MJ and crew are a bargain at $1mill a year!Happy Friday Ya'll

HAPPY FRIDAY and sorry for the delay in posting . . . those nasty technical difficulties!OSU vs Texas?  Not the battle of the QB's I thought it would be, but it turned out to be the battle of the defenses and OSU came out on top.  So now the question is . . . is Arch Manning overrated?  He was ALL they talked about leading up to that game, and even though I am sure he'll improve as the season goes on, will he be the phenom of college QB's?  Kentucky pulled out a win over Toledo - it was a battle, but they won we'll see how long that lasts when Ole Miss roles into Commonwealth (it will never be Kroger Field to me)!Other top 10 losses, the Open and a little tidbit about Mark Stoops' contract (it will give you a little insight into why he's still there - Oh Mitch, WHAT did you do).

HAPPY FRIDAY YA'LLBourbon and Buckeyes #shutuptony is back from summer break!  The Fam is in town for the biggest game of the year . . . Texas and OSU.  So, family, friends and yes, even Sarah, contributed to this episode.  I am not going to lie, IT IS ALL OVER THE PLACE!  You may need to turn the sound way up because we were on the patio and people were sitting everywhere.  I did have to remind them that there was another game tomorrow, yes, those boys in blue and white hit the field against Toledo.The US Open Tennis Tournament is in full swing, baseball is winding down, football is getting ready to start a new season and summer is gone.  Here's to the start of another year of the sports we love!

We are finally here . . . the Sweet Sixteen!  Should be an interesting tournament from here on out - ALL #1's are still in.  Will we have two ones playing in the finals, or will there be an upset along the way?  I think there's at least one upset in the making.  Spring ball is in April, the portal is open for college basketball and today, which I forgot to mention in the podcast, is opening day for Major League Baseball!  WHERE HAS THIS YEAR GONE ALREADY?HAPPY FRIDAY YA'LL AND ,MAY YOUR TEAM COME OUT ON TOP  . . . as long as it isn't Duke!

It was a rough weekend - the Guards started off great and then it was all downhill from there!  MJ talks the Bucs, the Wildcats and, unfortunately, Little Ricky Pitino.I have calmed down by all the antics of all the games . . . but not by much!Here's to a better weekend (at least the Bucs are on a bye week) for the Cats and to the Guards beating those Damn Yankees!

Sarah and MJ are back after a week of Sarah being out-of-town and MJ's foot surgery Catching up on the state of College Basketball (MJ has a few surprise stories to tell)!  It's almost time for the big Dance, but we've (as in Kentucky) have one more major hoop to jump through namely one Tennessee and it won't be easy!!!!Caitlin Clark breaks a scoring record, but is it Apples to Apples?  MJ gives her thoughts on comparing Caitlin Clark to Pete Maravich and believe it or not, Sarah agreed!So . . .
