Millions of people have chronic diseases. This is a podcast about empowering patients with chronic illnesses to manage their diagnoses in such a way that they feel in control. This podcast is educational and informational with the goal of encouraging people with chronic illnesses to think of the options available to them, to commit themselves toward controlling their diagnoses. Hopefully, it can reduce some of the reasons why this population feel overwhelmed by the challenges they face with the complex management of their diagnoses. It will address topics that most people forget to discuss in details with their providers and encourage them to form health seeking habits. It is not a podcast that will encourage people to diagnose themselves or seek cures outside of evidence based medicine.

When the diagnosis is in doubt
One of the hidden problems in healthcare is when a patient doubts the diagnosis. The consequences of doubting a medical condition can derail the entire treatment plan. The management of the condition is negatively affected in almost everyway. The patient feels disconnected with how they feel, have difficulty following recommended care because they question everything. The first series of chronic dx will address the reasons why people doubt their diagnoses, the effects of their doubts, how to find an acceptable diagnosis and how to manage care when a diagnosis is in question.
