In an interview lead by Lady Radio host Alex de Boer, UBC film studies graduate Molly Lewis discusses her honours thesis: "The Circuitry of Memory: Time and Space in Mad Men." With topics of discussion ranging from Bergson's theories on memory to whether or not the show finale should be read pessimistically, Molly and Alex explore Mad Men's importance as quality TV in the age of Netflix.

On this episode of Lady Radio, Alex de Boer and Amanda Haw talk mental health. They delve into their own experiences with vulnerability on social media and in social situations. Alex and Amanda also reach out to a friend, getting his take on how gender socialization impacts male vulnerability.

In light of Asian Heritage Month, the Asian-Canadian folks of Lady Radio celebrate their heritage. Rachel interviews UBC Creative Writing professor Jackie Wong about her recent contribution to Ricepaper Magazine -- an Asian Canadian arts and culture publication -- and her experience as an Asian-Canadian. We end with a discussion on our experience as Asian-Canadians and what our Asian heritage means to us.

Paula interviews South African writer and UBC alumnus Maneo Mohale about her work and her recent presentation at EMMAtalks. We then share music created by female singer-songwriters including the Vancouver hip-hop group Laydy Jams and Canadian folk singer Basia Bulat.

This week, we'll be playing an interview by Rob Csernyik, from CKXU, 88.3FM at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta. Recently, Rob had the opportunity to interview Linda Christina Redgrave, complainant one in the Jian Ghomeshi sexual assault trials that took place this February 2016. They talk about her decision to wave her publication ban, her experience with the justice system, and a new initiative she put forward to support survivors of sexual violence, comingforward.ca.
