“DREW” LAT * OTR * RTDK * LOD * XMEN * APCAfter joining The World Famous LA BREAKERS in 1983 as one of LA’s poppin’ phenoms, DREW went on to co-found one of LA’s original graffiti crews called "LA’S TOP” in 1984 alongside his writing partner, REED.That same year, he quite possibly became the first writer to ever hit a rooftop in Los Angeles and the first to bomb two billboards in the city’s graffiti history.But, life took a turn. After losing his best friend to the streets at just 17, DREW fell into Gang Life—leading to crime, addiction and a long stretch in State Prison.Even behind bars, Graffiti remained in his soul becoming the first person to ever rock an illegal blockbuster with a spray can inside a California state prison. When he came home, he returned to his true love: graffiti art. DREW became a pioneer in the slap sticker game collaborating with some of the most influential graffiti artists worldwide and building his brand, ONLY THE REAL, into one of LA’s most recognizable graff merch brands. Today, DREW dedicates himself with helping and rebuilding lives. SHANDU | THE GENIE OF LOS ANGELES STYLE WRITINGShandu was one of the earliest native L.A writers to use the spraycan on walls. Along with fellow L.A Bomb Squad members, Crime and Risco, he is credited with being the first to put a piece on the infamous Belmont Tunnels under Crown Hill.
