Sports takes, everyday moments, honest questions, and the kind of real-life stuff most people don’t talk about out loud. Wins, losses, frustration, clarity, discipline, relationships, pressure—on the field and off. I’m not a personality or a brand. I’m just another guy who loves sports, pays attention to life, and shares what I’m seeing in real time. Sometimes that leads to deeper conversations. Sometimes it doesn’t.Jesus may come up. He may not. There’s no agenda—just real life, honestly lived. If you like sports, real talk, and conversations that go where they go, you’ll feel at home here.

The Culture Before Us | The Heavenly Civilization - ERA 2 | Part 1

You can’t talk Kobe without knowing there were two sub-eras: #8 Frobe and #24 Black Mamba. Same career, different chapter. Well, existence has a similar setup. You can’t fully understand humanity until you understand what came before it. Scripture points to a Heavenly Era and an Earth Era. Both existed before man, but they were not created at the same time. The heavens came first, the heavenly realm was already active, and Job 38 shows heavenly beings witnessing the creation of the earth with no mention of humans at all. That means man wasn’t there at the start...we entered a story already unfolding.

    The Eternal Past - ERA 1 | Part 2

In this episode of The Replay Room, we go deeper into ERA 1: The Eternal Past and ask what Scripture reveals about God, Christ, wisdom, and purpose before creation ever began. We talk through Proverbs 8, Colossians 1, and Ephesians 1, exploring the idea that Christ is not just central to history, but central to all existence — before the earth, before heaven as we know it, before humanity, and even before rebellion. We also unpack why understanding the Bible through the lens of the eternal past changes how we see Leviticus, Revelation, John, the heavenly realm, and even our own lives. If God had purpose in mind before the foundation of the world, then your life is not random, your story is not accidental, and your identity was never meant to be built around yourself. This conversation is about making big spiritual ideas more understandable without losing their depth. Christ is the center. Always has been. Always will be.

    The Eternal Past - ERA 1 | Part 1

Welcome back to The Replay Room.In this episode, we dive deeper into what we’re calling the three eras of existence:1. The Eternal Past2. The Heavenly Civilization3. Human CivilizationToday, we stay focus on Era One: The Eternal Past — the reality that before anything was created, God already was. And even bigger than that, Jesus makes the same claim. We unpack passages like Psalm 90:2, Isaiah 57:15, John 1:1, John 17:5, John 17:24, Micah 5:2, 1 Peter 1:20, and 1 John 4:8 to wrestle with a massive truth:Jesus was not an afterthought.Redemption was not a backup plan. And humanity was not random. If God is love, then love requires choice. And if choice is real, then rebellion was always possible. That means the plan of redemption through Christ was established before creation ever began. We also talk about why the “weird” parts of the Bible matter, why followers of Jesus need a framework bigger than personal salvation, and why understanding the cosmic war matters if we’re going to be spiritually prepared for what’s coming. This is not just about being saved from sin. It’s about understanding what you were saved into.If it’s in the Bible and it’s weird… it’s probably important.Pull up a chair. The Story is told in Eras | The Replay Room

There’s a generation with the audacity to say LeBron is the GOAT… and it proves a point: if you only judge the game through one era, you don’t understand the whole story. In Episode 1 of The Replay Room, we take the Jordan–Kobe–LeBron debate and use it as the overlay for something way bigger:✅ Three eras of existenceThe Eternal Past — God “from everlasting to everlasting” (Psalm 90:2)The Heavenly Beings (the “elder race”) — a real, ordered spiritual realm that predates humanityThe Human Era — where Genesis drops us into the storyWe also hit a statement that wrecks the “God lives in heaven” box: 📌 “He inhabits eternity” (Isaiah 57:15)Not poetry. A claim. And if it’s true, it changes how you read Genesis 1, how you think about the unseen realm, and why the Bible’s storyline is bigger than a “personal gospel.”Next up: the doorways between eras… and how the Bible drops clues in plain sight. Pull up a chair. Primetime For the Supernatural | Replay Room Pilot Episode

Welcome to The Replay Room. A place where Blurry Creatures meets NFL Primetime. In this pilot episode, we talk about the moment everything changed: the “awakening” when the Bible stopped feeling like a simple salvation story… and started reading like a full-on supernatural war with a forgotten prologue most believers never get taught. We unpack why so many of us have no category for stories like Genesis 6, the unseen realm, and the cosmic scope of redemption. It often isn’t the information that turns people off… it’s the way the info is packaged. (If you grew up around Christian tabloids, televangelist vibes, or end-times panic, you know exactly what we mean.)Then we go deeper:Why Scripture is “the most simple complex book” you’ll ever openWhy the Bible repeats patterns on purpose (cycles, echoes, overlays)The “courtroom” thread running from Genesis to Zechariah to the GospelWhy Daniel matters right now — resolve, pressure, identity, and deceptionWhat “magicians and enchanters” might actually mean in BabylonWhy Jeremiah 33:3 is a real invitation: ask God for hidden thingsThis show is for the person who loves Jesus, loves sports, and wants the full picture without pretending the weird parts of the Bible aren’t there.Strap in. This is the preseason. EP 21 | Tuesday, February 10th, 2026

Happy Tuesday, February 10th, 2026…take a quick breather and ride with me for a minute. Because last night confirmed something I’m starting to fear is REAL: if I pick your team, there’s a high probability they’re going DOWN. Arizona rolls into Allen Fieldhouse undefeated… I throw on the jersey… and BOOM — first loss. So now we’ve gotta ask the question: is this a curse… or is it an advantage I should start weaponizing? 😂But here’s where it flips from sports to life — Proverbs 24:16 says the righteous fall seven times and rise again. Falling isn’t failure. Losing doesn’t mean it’s over. For the follower of Jesus, the win is obedience… and the comeback is part of the story. Then I take you inside House of Worship where we played “Two-Minute Sermon” — grab a random object, pick any text, preach it in two minutes… and somehow every table ended up circling the same theme: storms, strong winds, waves, and that small rudder that keeps the ship on course (James 3:4). If Jesus is the center, every moment is an opportunity — not pressure to “make it happen,” but peace to ask God, “What do You want to do with this moment?”Also… Olympic hockey is HERE, Growler’s Taphouse is the spot this week, and yes — the ribs are still undefeated. 😤Like, subscribe, share this with a friend, and if you’ve got a story we need to tell… let’s jump on and talk.#olympichockey #teamusa #collegebasketball #arizonawildcats #kansasjayhawks #sportstalk #proverbs2416 #james34 #jesusandculture #houseofworship #storiesfromthehouse #growlerstaphouse #tucsonarizona #christianpodcast #faithandfootball

    EP 20 | Monday, February 9th, 2026

Welcome to Day 1 of the NFL Offseason… and I’m barely alive. 😂 It’s Monday, February 9th, 2026, and for the first time in a week I can sit down without chills, body aches, or coughing up a lung — so we’re BACK.In this episode, I’m talking:How getting absolutely wrecked by sickness exposed what actually matters (spoiler: most “deadlines” are fake)Super Bowl 60: Seahawks over Patriots 29–13 (and yeah… the game wasn’t exactly a thriller)The moment NBC nailed at the end: the coach drenched in Gatorade just stopping to take it all inWhy sports used to feel like a safe break from the world — and why that vibe is harder to find nowThe one thing I’m done arguing about… and the one thing that actually mattersWhat I want this podcast to be: a place you can come, breathe, take a break, and remember what “home” feels likeAnd then we pivot to what’s next: U of A vs Kansas, Tempe tomorrow at Desert Financial Arena, and yes… I’ll be the guy in an ASU shirt asking strangers how I can pray for them. Also: the official countdown is ON. We’re 30 WEEKS UNTIL FOOTBALL IS BACK. Count ‘em. 30.If you’re here for the games, the nostalgia, the stories, the faith, the laughs, the real life… you’re in the right spot.Like, subscribe, and share — and drop a comment: What’s your “safe place” event, show, or tradition that makes you feel home?#nfl #superbowl #superbowl60 #seahawks #patriots #nflplayoffs #football #sports #sportscommentary #offseason #collegebasketball #arizonabasketball #kansasbasketball #marchmadness #nhl #hockey #olympics #faith #jesus #christian #gospel #realife #podcast #growlers #tucson #tempe #arizonaBeen sick for a week with the flu

    EP 19 | Friday, January 30th, 2026

Friday, January 30th, 2026 — we’re ending the week the only way we know how… with laughs, stories, and an accidental HISTORY CLASS. Brandon May is getting buried in Asheville snow (5 inches to a FOOT), meanwhile I’m up in Phoenix getting humbled at the ice rink with my first real wipeout… powdered, wet, and immediately getting roasted by my own kid. 😂 From there we pivot into a surprise deep-dive on the “State of Franklin,” the OG frontier folks who basically said “we’re done with government overreach” and helped shape what became Tennessee — and yes, we’re arguing about how to pronounce Appalachia like it’s a blood feud.We also talk Cross + sports life: my new “Fear of the Lord” ASU-inspired shirt, taking a cross into arenas (and why that rarely goes well), and how God keeps setting up “tailor-made” conversations at games. Then we tell the story of how Brandon and I actually met during COVID care-connection texts, why it felt like a date the whole episode (unfortunately), and how a real friendship got built when the world shut down. We wrap with “Rules for a Knight,” trust, identity, and teasing next week’s stories… including the legendary Rummage Ball.Stay warm, stay dangerous, and we’ll see you next episode.

    EP 18 | January 29th, 2026 | Stories From The House #5

Stories From The House is a weekly recap of Church in a Bar. House of Worship meets at Growler's Taphouse in Tucson, Arizona and we're talking about what went down last Sunday.

    EP 17 | Wednesday, January 29th, 2026

Had to shuffle the schedule today with a sick kid at home, which gave me time to do something I’ve never done before...look up the Hall of Fame voting committee. That’s when it hit me and I had to say it out loud: Bill Belichick is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and that makes zero sense. This episode zooms out from that snub into a bigger conversation about standards in the NFL, from replay reviews to the Pro Bowl losing its meaning. We talk Belichick, decision-makers, nostalgia for when football felt clear, and why people don’t trust the people making the calls anymore. Not a rant, just trying to figure out when clarity turned into constant debate.

    EP 16 | Tuesday, January 28th, 2026

The Super Bowl match up is set and after streaming both games live on Championship Sunday, one moment on a 3rd & 8 pass to Cooper Kupp turned into a reel that gained a lot of opinions on Instagram. Was it a catch? Some say yes, others say no. In this episode we talk about how the standard of the last 15 years has done more to confuse people then help get the call right. That led into a conversation about nostalgia, why we love it so much and what we're doing to experience it this weekend.

    EP 15 | Friday, January 23rd, 2026

Winter weather is rolling in and we're catching up with Brandon Maye in Asheville, North Carolina to talk about honestly whatever comes to mind and in that...we dive into something pretty important that I think is crucial for anyone.

    Ep 14 | Thursday, January 22nd, 2026 | Stories From The House #3

Church in a Bar is still one of the all time best phrases to be able to say. But as awesome as that is, experiencing it is 10 times better and in this episode we break down what we experienced last Sunday as well as what we're doing afterwards this Sunday. Championship Sunday and we're going live from the Taphouse.

    EP 13 | Wednesday, January 21st, 2026 | Christ's Reward #3

We’ve got some throwback vibes with some wild twists: Broncos vs Patriots for the AFC, and Rams vs Seahawks for the NFC. Bo Nix goes down late, Jared Stidham steps in, and now everybody’s asking the same thing… can Denver really pull this off in Foxborough? And then there’s the chaos factor: Oz the Mentalist reportedly predicted a Rams/Broncos Super Bowl (23–14 Rams) months ago… so if that happens, the internet might melt.START THE PODCAST AT 18:46 to dive in and go deep with Wade Aaron (Christ’s Reward) — fresh back from Los Angeles where they carried the cross through Skid Row, shared the gospel at USC + Venice Beach, saw people saved, and baptized new believers in the ocean. Then we unpack what discipleship actually looks like: humble vs needy, “start with one,” and why sometimes you plant seeds and trust the Holy Spirit with the growth.👇 Drop your Super Bowl prediction in the comments.👍 Like, subscribe, and share this with a friend who loves sports and real conversations.

    EP 12 | Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 | I Don't Know How I Missed This

THIS EPISODE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT COLLEGE FOOTBALL…AND THEN STREAMYARD ABSOLUTELY TOOK US TO SCHOOL.What started as a normal Tuesday — recap plans, graphics ready, National Championship talk LOADED — turned into a full-blown existential breakdown via a JPEG.For 45 MINUTES we’re blaming updates, algorithms, interfaces, EVERYTHING but ourselves…only to realize the answer was sitting there the ENTIRE TIME.Overlay.Background.Same buttons. Same layout. TOTALLY different function. And THAT’S when it hit. Because how many of us are doing the exact same thing in real life? This episode dives into:Why you can stare at something forever and still not SEE itTunnel vision, pride, frustration, and “I KNOW I’M RIGHT” energyThe moment revelation hits and EVERYTHING changesWhy humility actually lifts weight instead of adding itHow a tech issue turned into a Jeremiah 33:3 gut punch“Things you cannot distinguish” and why that word should bother youOverlay vs background — and why ONLY ONE thing belongs on topWhy God doesn’t always teach through sermons… sometimes it’s softwareThe difference between intellectual understanding and revelationAnd how we almost talked ball… but God had other plansThis isn’t polished. This isn’t scripted. This is life happening in real time and God hijacking the agenda. If you’ve ever:Been stuck on something stupid simpleBlamed everyone but yourselfFelt frustrated because “this should work”Wondered why something feels off but you can’t explain itOr sensed God trying to show you something deeper…Yeah. This one’s for you.Scripture That WRECKED the Room was Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things, things you cannot distinguish.”Turns out…distinguish was the whole problem.Final Thought:You don’t see what you don’t see —until God lets you see it. THIS ONE STARTED A LONG TIME AGO WITH TWO KIDS IN A BEDROOM…AND ENDS WITH THE STATE OF FOOTBALL, THE DEATH OF DYNASTIES, AND WHY IDENTITY STILL MATTERS IN SPORTS.We go all the way back — no cell phones, Triple Play ‘98, Madden tournaments exhausted, boredom setting in — when a Hi8 video camera and a pile of football cards gave birth to McDowell & Galloway.Yes… THAT far back. From Joey Galloway Seahawks cards ➝ fake detective movies ➝ growing up watching football together ➝ to arguing about why certain matchups just FEEL RIGHT.This episode is a full-blown journey through:The golden age of sports (and why it actually mattered)Why Seahawks-Broncos is the ONE Super Bowl matchup we NEVER want againBrady vs Manning, legacy vs moments, and the pain of “almost”Why parody is killing dominance in the NFLIndiana Football, Curt Cignetti, and CULTURE OVER FLASHBears identity vs nail polish discourse (yeah… we went there)Why some teams are impossible to root for even when they’re goodCoaches, dynasties, revenge arcs, and who still has THAT EDGEWhy sports used to be an escape — and why people miss thatAnd why moments > analytics > opinionsThis isn’t hot takes. This is sports memory, identity, and WHY WE CARE.If you love football, hate fake narratives, miss when sports felt pure, and believe culture still wins — this one’s for you.

IT’S FRIDAY. IT’S BECOMING A THING. AND SOMEHOW WE STARTED WITH FRENCH FRIES AND ENDED UP IN A FULL-BLOWN CONVO ABOUT FAITH VS “DELUSIONAL OPTIMISM”… with a side quest through hockey season, Teddy Roosevelt being an absolute DAWG according to my guy Brandon, getting TEMU’D, and why the “church system” feels like it loves a label more than it loves a person. This week we cover:Why “French Fries at Four” is an actual friendship legacy (and also why McDonald’s fries cost like a car payment)Hockey being life right now 🏒The Interior Castle and intimacy with God (and how the church locked her up for writing it… WILD)The difference between manifestation and faithWhy faith isn’t trusting the outcome… it’s trusting the character of God“Labels are lids” — and why we refuse to fit your boxSeasons, identity, “micro-deaths,” and God saying: “Be a dad in this season.”Kairos vs Chronos: when God interrupts your normal timeline and drops a moment that changes everythingAnd we land it with a question you NEED to ask God:What in my life am I calling ‘delusional optimism’… that You’re actually calling faith?

JOHN HARBAUGH TO THE GIANTS?!Yeah… that just happened. And it might be the most culture-shifting move New York has made since the Tom Coughlin days.On today’s show, we’re ripping straight into John Harbaugh finalizing a 5-year deal with the New York Giants — why this is a massive win for Big Blue, why culture matters more than schemes, and why Giants fans should be absolutely ecstatic about what’s coming next.We break down:• Why Harbaugh is the ultimate culture setter and why New York desperately needed that• The Giants’ young core: Jackson Dart, Cam Skattebo, Malik Nabers• What pieces are still missing: interior offensive line help, a true WR2, and a defensive alpha• The real question: will Giants fans give Harbaugh time to build this thing the right way?NFL PLAYOFF PICKS (heart over head, always):• Broncos vs Bills• Patriots vs Texans• Seahawks vs 49ers• Bears vs RamsYes… chaos is very much on the menu.College hoops talk:Arizona Wildcats are the number one team in the nation.ASU rivalry scare. Is this a 1997-type run brewing in Tucson? And what happens when Arizona finally tastes adversity?National Championship preview:Indiana vs Miami. Why this game might surprise more people than expected. And before all that, we’re headed to Indianapolis:Simple ChurchGospel workshopsSharing Jesus in 25-degree weather (because why not)Paying it forward and saying yes to what God is doingThis episode is football, culture, faith, chaos, hope, and a reminder of why this is an unbelievable time to be alive.Drop your takes in the comments:Giants fans — are you all in on Harbaugh?Wildcats fans — is this the year?NFL fans — which contender is going one and done?Much love. EP 8 | Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 | Christ's Reward Podcast #2

Right as we get going, Wade Aaron opens with, “Do you want to pray?” Which is the most on-brand thing ever for the dude who carries a cross for a living 😂🙏This episode is all about GO which is the second piece of Christ’s Reward’s mission: Equip. Go. Disciple. Last week we talked EQUIP. This week we’re talking what happens when you stop waiting to feel ready and you just… move.We kick it off with Wade’s new CrossFit journey (because the man who carries a cross now does CrossFit… it was RIGHT THERE and I somehow missed that pun for a week). And that turns into the perfect picture of the Great Commission: most people love “learning,” but GO feels risky… awkward… and like you might look weird. Wade breaks down what “Go into all the world” really means: not just mission trips, but your neighborhood, job, coffee shop, restaurant, and everyday routines — because if you’ve been somewhere for years and nobody knows you follow Jesus… you might be missing the point. We talk:1. What believers think “Go” means vs what Jesus actually meant2. Why people don’t go (fear, shame, guilt… and spiritual resistance)3. Why you don’t need to “have it all figured out” before you start4. Stories from the road: prayer, healing, sharing the gospel in real life5. How to start if you’ve never done evangelism training: get a friend and go6. Why it should be serious… AND still fun (because Jesus sent them out in twos for a reason)And yes… we somehow end up talking college football and the national title matchup because that’s what happens around here.If you’re a believer who’s been waiting to feel ready — this is your nudge: if you’re breathing, you’re qualified… and you’re sent.👇 Drop a comment:Where has God already placed you to GO this week — work, neighborhood, gym, coffee shop, stadium?Christ’s Reward (Wade Aaron)YouTube: @christsrewardHouse of WorshipSundays @ 9AM — Growler’s Taphouse, 8275 N. Alright HERE WE GO — this is Stories from the House on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, and if you’re new here, House of Worship is exactly what it sounds like… a church gathering in a bar. No programs. No production. No pretending. We traded all that stuff in so we can make time for PEOPLE.This week we’re recapping what went down at Growler’s Taphouse (8275 N. Silverbell Rd.) — and it turned into one of those Sundays where you start one place and end up somewhere totally different… in the best way. We talked about our “word” for 2026 (Proverbs 1:20–23), pulled out the whiteboard, enabling everybody is chewing on the truth together. Then we got into Exodus 4 — Moses’ excuses, God’s calling, and the tension we all live in: the world’s “requirements” vs God’s only requirement… Jesus. The theme that surfaced? We’re not receiving at full capacity because we’re holding onto something — fear, hurt, labels, perfection, control. And that led straight into Prayer Night where we watched the Steelers game in the background, ate pizza, and went to John 2 — not just “pour it out,” but bring it to Jesus and let Him transform it. And the real moment? Happened AFTER the teaching… when somebody opened up and the whole table came around him.If you’re looking for a polished church service, this isn’t it. If you want real people, real conversations, and Jesus at the center… welcome home.Join us Sundays @ 9:00amGrowler’s Taphouse — 8275 N. Silverbell Rd.

We met back in North Carolina, made the move out to Arizona together, lived as roommates for a good stretch, and went through a whole lot of life side by side. Real seasons. Real stuff. Now life’s got us on opposite ends of the country, but that connection never stopped. Every Friday, we link up for an end-of-week recap, unpacking what God’s been teaching us, what we’re learning, and where we see Him leading. For the last year I've been fortunate enough to meet weekly with Wade Aaron. He is the founder of Christ's Reward and is sharing the gospel in all 50 states by carrying a 10 foot cross. For the last year he's poured into me and I felt that in 2026 those conversations weren't supposed to be reserved for me but instead, we'd bring others into the conversation so they too can benefit from the wisdom and experiences he's had sharing the gospel.

    EP 2 | Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 | Stories From the House #1

Stories from the House is where we slow down and talk about what actually happened at House of Worship this past weekend—the conversations, the moments, and what God was stirring in the room. This week, we centered on receiving a word from the Lord for 2026. Not predictions. Not hype. Just learning how to listen. Using Proverbs 1:20–23, we talked about wisdom calling out in public spaces, God’s willingness to speak, and what it looks like to turn our ear and respond when He does. It’s a reflection on real people, real questions, and real obedience. If you’re trying to discern direction…If you’re asking God what’s next…Or if you’re learning how to recognize His voice in the middle of everyday life…These are the stories from the house.

I don’t know what this is yet.No format. No plan. Just pressing record.I’m a lead who church in a bar, help people say yes to what God called them to, share the gospel, and equip others to do the same. When I’m not doing that, I love sports and will talk ball with anyone at any time. This isn’t a sermon. This isn’t a pitch. This isn’t polished.I'm pouring it out and done waiting for permission. Faith, calling, doubt, obedience, sports, and the tension of following Jesus without pretending you have it all figured out.If you feel called but stuck…If church burned you but God didn’t…If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t know what this is, but I know I need to start”…Welcome. Here goes nothing.
