Come Run with me 5K

This podcast is a beginning runner's journey to a 5K. We will run together to keep each other accountable with a goal of running a 5K race in the spring of 2025. I have been running as a hobby and to stay in reasonable physical shape off and on for 16 years. I have only once ran in a 5K and that was 16 years ago. Recently sidelined for a leg injury, my doctor told him to ease back into running. As he has healed up, and at 51 years old, I am beginning his running journey again. While running, I will share insights, motivation, and other observations that have added value to my life. I hope they will add value to your life. I hope you enjoy my unique perspective and sense of humor to keep you entertained and enjoying the time together and working toward a goal of better physical fitness. This extemporaneous podcast will keep you entertained, motivated and growing as you continue your journey to your own physical fitness goals. 10% Better

In this episode, we are working to increase our workout by just ten-percent. This episode includes 30 second runs approximately every 5 minutes. This is a way to improve our physical health as well as work our way into the workout routine. In this episode, I discuss the importance of understanding the vision of your goals, understanding how accomplishing your goals can impact your life and ensuring that you set SMART goals that are within your own control. SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time limited. Smart goals can be an overall goal, such as to run in a 5K and can also be daily, such as to include a 30-minute exercise in your daily routine. I hope you enjoy today's episode. In this episode, I walked/ran 1.63 miles in 30 minutes. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    Beginning the Journey

As we begin to transition into a runner, we begin with a 30-minute walk. Join me for a 30-minute walk where I share information about understanding our habits, understanding what causes us to engage in habitual behaviors and how we can commit to changing our habits into healthier lifestyle choices that improve our overall health.
