FILMS DISCUSSED: FREE FIRE, THE PROMISE, THE BLACKCOAT'S DAUGHTER, THE SEVEN FIVE, DRONE, KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Faith Choyce into the ATC studios. Faith talks about why Free Fire was better than she expected. Chris liked first time director Oz Perkins film, The Blackcoat's Daughter. Graham talks about the politics surrounding The Promise and why it should be seen. If you like corrupt cop docs like Graham then you will like The Seven Five. Drone trailer gives away too much. New Kingsman film might be better than first. Dancing and fighting are in new DVDs while a Latin Circle enters the theater.

FILMS DISCUSSED: 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE, CROUCHING TIGER 2: HIDDEN BULLSHIT, CHRIS NOLAN FILMS Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Shane Mauss. Chris and Graham both liked 10 Cloverfield. Shane and Chris found the Crouching Tiger sequel to be silly. Shane talks about his favorite Christopher Nolan films. Many Oscar films on DVD and some weird choices in theaters. This is the episode to listen too if John Goodman is your dad in a bunker. 

FILMS DISCUSSED: RACE, WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT, ZOOTOPIA, WHAT HAPPENED, MISS SIMONE? DEADPOOL Chris and Graham welcome back Greg Proops! Graham thought Race was a so-so biopic. Chris and Graham spilt on Tina Fey's new film. Chris and his family liked Zootopia. Greg like Nina Simone doc but wanted a little more. Greg talks about going to Turner Classic Movie Fest. Jackie Kashian gives us a SpareMin on Deadpool. Odd choices for DVD and in theaters. This ep will make you want to bleed in the Balkins! 

The 88th Oscar Awards are over so Chris and Graham are going to break it down. They have colorist Tawan Bazemore on to discuss how Chris Rock handled the race issue, upsets and more.  Also Tawan explains what the color correction process is in post production of filmmaking and specifically what he has done for Ear Buds.  This ep will make you want to fight a bear. 

Chris and Graham welcome back Doug Benson to go over all the Oscar nominations and predict who will win. Get your Oscar pools ready cause the best info is here! (we hope)

FILMS DISCUSSED: DEADPOOL, THE REVENANT, THE 33 Chris and Graham welcome first time guest from The Office, Oscar Nunez. Graham and Chris really liked Deadpool. Oscar liked the graphic novel and was happy with the casting. Oscar was blown away by The Revenant. Oscar also talks about filming the new Baywatch movie and working in a mine on The 33. Good DVDs this week and maybe some sleeper hits in theaters. You will want to ride a train with Ernest Borgnine after listening to this ep.

FILMS DISCUSSED: ROOM, HAIL CAESAR, CAROL Chris and Graham welcome first time guest, Gareth Reynolds into the nerd Hunger Games box. Graham and Chris both think Room is excellent and worthy of all the awards. Gareth liked the acting in Carol. All three liked the fun of Hail Caesar. Gareth talks about some of his favorite documentaries. So-so DVDs and a big Deadpool question mark in theaters. This ep will make you want to have some beers with your wife.

SPOILER ALERT!!! KEY ELEMENTS OF FILM WILL BE DISCUSSED, INCLUDING ENDING Chris and Graham welcome back Chris' daughter Isabella into her dad's garage. They talk about why they liked the film and their favorite Chinese food. This episode will make you want to fight an evil cow.

FILMS DISCUSSED: BROOKLYN, KUNG FU PANDA 3, BRIDGE OF SPIES Chris and Graham welcome back Marc Guggenheim. Marc talks about writing for Arrow and DC Legends of Tomorrow. Graham and Chris both disliked Brooklyn. All three liked Kung Fu Panda 3 as well as Marc and Chris' kids. Marc talks about the current state and future of comic book movies. A lot of questions for new DVDs. Caesar and some typical February releases. This ep will make you bite the hand that feeds you. 

FILMS DISCUSSED: THE DANISH GIRL, ANOMOLISA, BIG SHORT, OBVIOUS CHILD Chris and Graham welcome back podcaster Alison Rosen. Graham is disappointed with Danish Girl and the Oscars. Chris was intrigued by Anomolisa. Alison found The Big Short to be informative. Alison also talks about her favorite rom-coms and some guilty pleasures. Two good DVDs and more reason to see films that should have been nominated in theaters this weekend. This ep will make you want to have puppet sex. 

FILMS DISCUSSED: CONCUSSION, ATTACK ON TITAN, MAZE RUNNER SCORCH TRIALS, ROAD CHIP Chris and Graham welcome back Kira Soltanovich to the nerd box. Graham thought Concussion should have received some Oscar Nominations. Chris asks you to do homework before watching Attack On Titan. Kira gave Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip a big thumbs up for sleeping. Chris couldn't understand Scorch Trials. Some good and some dumb on DVD. Also perfect time to watch all the Oscar films as new releases are useless. This is the Woodpecker of all episodes! 

FILMS DISCUSSED: THE BIG SHORT, THE HATEFUL EIGHT, THE REVENANT, STAR WARS Chris and Graham welcome back Matt Belknap into the weight bench office. Graham and Matt both like Big Short but can't remember what Margot Robbie said. Chris did not like Hateful Eight as much as Graham. The Reverent made Graham want to kill a bear and sleep in it. More discussion about Star Wars and George Lucas feeling like a billionaire slave. Horrible DVDs and many reasons to find Golden Globe winners and future Oscar noms in theaters. This episode will make you want bird pizza!

FILMS DISCUSSED: KRAMPUS, TRUMBO, HAPPY VALLEY Chris and Graham are both getting over colds but still had time to talk films. Chris liked Krampus but wanted just a little bit more. Graham thinks Trumbo is solid Oscar material. Happy Valley is a good doc that will make you mad. Marvel heavy DVDs and some good films in theaters this week. Episode 299 will make you write in your bathtub.

FILMS DISCUSSED: CREED, HUNGER GAMES, GOOD DINOSAUR, TRUMBO, SECRET IN THEIR EYES Chris and Graham are caught in a love triangle with Laura House. Graham liked Creed. Chris and Graham liked Hunger Games but not the love triangle. Laura likes love triangle's even when society collapses. Chris found Good Dinosaur to be all over the place. Laura thinks Trumbo will be in the Oscar race. Graham was let down with Secret in Their Eyes. Ok DVDs but more solid films coming out in theaters. This ep is like a lady Taken. THEMED EP: ROCK AND ROLL MOVIES Chris and Graham welcome long time writer but first time guest Lord Carrett into their NYC hotel room. Lord talks about some of his favorite rock and roll films of all time.  This is the Spinal Tap of episodes.

FILMS DISCUSSED: ALL THINGS MUST PASS THE RISE AND FALL OF TOWER RECORDS, KNOCK KNOCK, SPOTLIGHT Chris and Graham welcome first time guest, Rob Cohen. Rob talks about the Tower Records documentary and why he liked it.  Chris liked the first 45 minutes of Knock Knock. Graham found Spotlight to be a solid Oscar contender. Rob tells us about his documentary, Being Canadian. Chris is really excited about some DVDs. Good films coming out in theaters. This ep will make you start your very own Star Chamber!

FILMS DISCUSSED: SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALPYSE, SPECTRE Chris and Graham welcome first time guest and long time friend John Matta. Graham had fun watching Scouts Guide. All three enjoyed Spectre but felt like maybe 007 is done. John talks about his new book and working with Kurt Russell. Amy Schumer and Sherlock Holmes are on DVD which makes the slow weekend in theaters easier to take. This ep will make you want to clap at a trailer.

FILMS DISCUSSED: CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA, BONE TOMAHAWK Chris and Graham are alone in the garage hatching plans to invade Belgium and talking movies. Graham found Clouds to be an ok indie film.  Chris wanted Bone Tomahawk to be better but still found parts of it entertaining. Chris had a blast at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. 2 of 3 good DVDs and 007 in back!! This ep will make you want to fly across the world to do a bar gig.

SOME HORROR FILM TALK POST HALLOWEEN BONUS EPISODE!  Chris and Graham talk about their favorite horror films and Chris interviews the founder of Shriekfest. So much horror film talk it will make you want to take a nap on your new mattress!!

FILMS DISCUSSED: STEVE JOBS, CRIMSON PEAK, BEASTS OF NO NATION, LAST WITCH HUNTER Chris and Graham welcome first time guests Tyler Smith and David Bax. Tyler and David talk about their film podcast Battleship Pretension. David, Graham and Tyler liked Steve Jobs, but not the accents. Tyler thinks Jobs is best picture of the year. Chris enjoyed Crimson Peak even with it's shortcomings. Graham is glad Beasts of No Nation is out there informing people. Tyler saw Last Witch Hunter and can't remember it at all.  Not a great week for DVDs or in theaters. This ep will make you want to create a Sean Connery film with no plot!

FILMS DISCUSSED: BRIDGE OF SPIES, STEVE JOBS, GOOSEBUMPS, GREEN INFERNO Chris and Graham welcome back Wayne Federman to talk films and Bones auditions. Graham liked Bridge of Spies and thinks it will be in the Oscar race. Wayne felt the same about Steve Jobs.  Chris and his family had fun at Goosebumps. Wayne was loving Green Inferno and how sensitive Graham is. Wayne talks about his new comedy album. Ok DVDs and maybe one good film in theaters. This episode will make you eat hippies. 

FILMS DISCUSSED: THE MARTIAN, SICARIO, PAN Chris and Graham welcome back Frank Woodward and first time guest Jack Bennett.  Both guys are filmmakers and horror fans. Graham, Chris and Frank all liked The Martian. Graham is happy when Emily Blunt is a bad ass like in Sicario. Chris hated Pan. Frank and Jack talk about what new horror films are getting them excited. At least one good DVD and then a good weekend for counter programming. This ep will start a Mexican Eat Off.

RECORDED IN FRONT OF LIVE AUDIENCE AT 2015 AUDIBLE LA PODFEST Chris and Graham do a Ear Buds Q and A with Doug Benson and editor Tina Imahara. Then Dave Foley and Suzy Nakamura join the show to talk about new show on ABC Dr. Ken and upcoming films! Some good, some bad and some in German.

FILMS DISCUSSED: EVEREST, PAWN SACRAFICE Chris and Graham were too tired to book a guest so get ready! Chris did not like Everest but Graham enjoyed it from his comfortable food theater. Graham was a little disappointed by Pawn Sacrifice, but still has some good performances. The boys talk about how fun Podfest was. Some good DVDs this week. Finally good movies are back in theaters! This ep will make you climb a fake mountain while eating a salad. 

FILMS DISCUSSED: BLACK MASS, TRANSPORTER 3, MAD MAX ANTHOLOGY, EAR BUDS Chris and Graham welcome first time guest and former CFN intern Shawn Merek. Shawn talks about his podcast, Worst Collection Ever. Graham liked the parts of Black Mass he wasn't sleeping through. Shawn was bored with Transporter. Chris was thrilled watching the original Mad Max on Blu Ray. All three talk about how fun LA Podfest was and seeing Ear Buds on the big screen. This ep will make you put someone in the trunk.

FILMS DISCUSSED: SHARKNADO 3, THE MARTIAL ARTS KID, THE VISIT, WHITEY, BLOOD SUCKING BASTARDS Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Erin Foley into the weight bench garage. Graham loved Sharknado 3 and seeing himself on the big screen in Martial Arts Kid. Erin was surprisngly entertained by The Visit. Chris loved the low budget fun of Blood Sucking Bastards. Graham recommends the Whitey Bulger doc. Erin talks about her favorite sports films. Good DVDs to choose from. Some Oscar films are creeping back into movie theaters. This ep is will give you a Boston accent. 

FILMS DISCUSSED: AMERICAN ULTRA, BATMAN VS ROBIN, Z FOR ZACHARIAH Chris and Graham welcome first time guest, Owen Benjamin, into the Nerd garage! Graham liked American Ultra in his favorite theater. Chris had some small problems with Batman vs Robin but overall it was good.  Owen liked the acting in Z for Zachariah. Owen talks about his favorite sci-fi films and why he likes them.  Two good DVDs which will help get you through another lame weedend in theaters. This ep will make you love Funny Girl. 

BONUS EP!! Filmmaker Adam Rifkin comes into the Nerd HQ to discuss cult films.  Adam tells us what films influnced him and why. Also Adam talks about his new films Shooting the Warwicks and Director's Cut.  This ep will make you want to become a small soldier and fight in an army of darkness.  

FILMS DISCUSSED: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, END OF THE TOUR, STUDIO GHIBLI RETROSPECTIVE, WES CRAVEN FILMS, TRAINWRECK Chris and Graham welcome back Greg Fitzsimmons to the Nerd Sweat Lodge. Greg liked the action of Mission Impossible. Graham liked End of the Tour while sleeping on a couch.  Chris saw two Studio Ghibli films on the big screen. All three talk about some of thier favoirte Wes Craven films. Greg was very happy with Trainwreck. Some fury in DVDs and interesting films in theaters.  This ep will make you want to have sex on a surf board! 

FILMS DISCUSSED: THE GIFT, MAN FROM UNCLE, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE Chris and Graham welcome back Stefanie Wilder-Taylor. Stefanie and Graham both found some problems with The Gift even though it has good perfromances. Graham thought UNCLE was a borning bag of bad accents. Chris didn't care for Rogue Nation. Stefanie tells us what kids movies she liked this year.  One good DVD and two stupid ones. New releases are useless.  This ep will make you want to get a nice mid shoe. 

FILMS DISCUSSED: FANTASTIC FOUR, TRAINWRECK, LEGO BRICKUMENTARY, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, WYRMWOOD  Chris and Graham welcome back Baron Vaughn. Graham was bored with Fantastic Four.  Chris found Brickumentary to be just ok. Baron and Graham both liked Straight Outta Compton.  Chris liked the low budget-ness of Wyrmwood. Graham and Baron both liked Trainwreck. Baron talks about his new podcast with Leonard Maltin. Bizare DVD choice and three films in theaters that don't look good. This ep will make you want more Steve Guttenberg in your diet!

FILMS DISCUSSED: PIXELS, IT'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY, PAPER TOWNS, LOST SOUL, MR HOLMES Chris and Graham welcome back Andy Wood.  Andy is still angry they made him watch Pixels. Chris liked the annimation in It's Such a Beautiful Day.  Graham liked Paper Towns after he realized it wasnt Fault in Our Stars.  The Lost Soul doc made Chris want to see Dr. Moreau again. Andy talks about his podcast, Probably Science.  Mixed bag of DVDs and not many good reasons to go to the theaters. This ep will give you Val Kilmer stress!

FILMS DISCUSSED: ANT MAN, TRAINWRECK, AMY, SPY First time guest Emily V. Gordon from The Indoor Kids podcast joins the lads in the Nerd Garage. Chris and Graham split on Ant Man. Emily really liked Trainwreck. Graham wanted the directeor of Amy to use more interview footage in this doc.  Emily was happy with Spy. All three talked about Comic-con.  Some good DVDs and interesting films in theaters. This ep will make you want to film nerd porn!

FILMS DISCUSSED: BATKID, MAX, INSIDE OUT, STAR WARS Chris and Graham Welcome back Steele Saunders to talk Comic-con and more! Steele thinks Batkid is a must watch film.  Chris wanted more war and less Lassie in Max.  Graham thought Inside Out was just OK.  Long talks about the Star Wars panel at Comic-con and the new Superman vs Batman trailer.  This ep will make you want to buy Barry Manalow albums.

FILMS DISCUSSED: TERMINATOR: Genisys, ME EARL AND THE DYING GIRL Chris and Graham welcome back Wil Anderson.  All three mates were not happy with Terminator.  Graham really liked Me, Earl and the Dying girl. Wil is still angry at Jurassic World. Some good DVDs this week and not great choices in theaters. This ep will make you travel back in time to fight computers.

FILMS DISCUSSED: WHAT HAPPENED, MISS SIMONE?, NICE PEOPLE, RED ARMY Chris and Graham welcome first time guest Filip Hammar.  Filip talks about his podcast from Sweeden.  Graham really liked the Nina Simone Documentary, What Happened Miss Simone? Filip was intrigued by the documentay about the Soviet Hockey team, Red Army.  Chris and Filip discuss why Ingmar Bergman films are so good, even without the sun.  Filip talks about his new doc, Nice People coming out this fall.  Poor choices for DVD and two wildly different films in theaters this weekend.  This ep will make you want to buy a white tiger.
