    Superman Review: DC is Back!

I saw Superman.. What an incredible start to the new DC Universe. James Gunn knocked this one out of the park and then some. I’m now as invested as possible in his 10 year plan at DC Studios and it begs the question; Can Marvel’s Fantastic 4 deliver? DC could reign atop the comic book movie world for some time now!

    M. Night Shyamalan is back in a big way with the release of the trailer for his new film "Trap", Speak No Evil from Blumhouse is a film starring the unpredictable and fully ranged actor James McAvoy and Joker Folie A Deux (Madness of Two). Take Em' Back To The 90's

The 90's were a pop culture explosion. A culture filled with creative risks, new technology and lots of movies starring Tom Hanks. The introduction to Disney animated films, the action packed Tarantino action films and the Oscar winning teenagers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, the 90's had it all!

  11. 64

    Dune Day

Two weeks ago a watch party occurred featuring Dune Part 1 at home and then off to the Scotiabank theatre for Part 2. Good times, good laughs, good food and good films. "Dune Day" was a success. It has been written!

  12. 63

    Villains

When villains have the power we are at their mercy. Here is an episode consisting of some of my favourite evil characters and the quotes that they are known for. Today the heroes take a back seat and we shine the spotlight on the big bad, the antagonist, the villain.

  13. 62

An Era Of Celebrity We Can Be Proud Of Starring Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce

I am fresh off of a watch of "KELCE" an Amazon Original that truly stole my heart. This documentary follows Jason Kelce (35) on what could be his final season in the NFL. This final season leads him straight to guess who? Travis Kelce, his kid brother. The bond, respect and admiration these two men have for each other was too inspiring not to talk about and I thought I'd take the opportunity to talk about a household name Taylor Swift. If you didn't know Travis Kelce has been dating global superstar Taylor Swift then I'm sure you aren't listening to this one anyway..

  14. 61

    Run Don’t Walk

I'm so sorry Grandma! I was off to see Napoleon with my friends until we realized Godzilla Minus One was showing at the Scotiabank Theatre at West Edmonton Mall. After some fun times drinking beer alongside some children at The Rec Room, we saw the best foreign film that I have seen to date. Run don't walk to see Godzilla Minus One! The aforementioned apology to my Grandma stems from a visit I am soon to have with her where I know that she was excited to discuss Ridley Scott's recent biopic but now I must break the news...

  17. 58

    !Buenos Dias!

Pedro Pascal is the busiest man in Hollywood and he is about to get bigger.. Rumours, trailers, and a an update from the trainer for our new Superman David Corenswet. Gracias por escuchar!

  18. 57

    Shoresy

Jared Keeso brings us a very good hockey show with his witty writing and stereotyped hockey lingo. Many featured in this Canadian show are making a name for themselves as "Shoresy" is certainly rising to new levels with each and every episode. This show is hilarious and I hope you enjoy this little discussion on the popular Canadian Crave TV show!

  19. 56

    Killers of the Flower Moon

This past weekend I went to see Martin Scorsese's latest; Killers of the Flower Moon. While it won't be everyones cup of tea, it certainly is an important tragedy in our history. Scorsese is brilliant capturing the Osage beauty and his actors DELIVER. Spoiler alert if you have not seen the film. Three hours and twenty six minutes with excellent pacing but still 3 hrs and 26 minutes! Let's discuss..

  20. 55

The Creator & The Art of Science Fiction

Today, we're delving into the extraordinary career of one of Hollywood's most versatile actors, Johnny Depp. Join us as we unravel the enigmatic roles that have shaped his legacy and made him a true chameleon of the silver screen.

  24. 51

    Transformers

Michael Bay made a really good Transformers movie in 2007 that starred Shia Labeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and the iconic voice acting of Hugo Weaving as Megatron and Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime. Peter Cullen is set to return to voice Optimus in Transformers Rise of the Beasts. I look forward to a reboot but these movies were my era of Transformers and boy did they ever deliver.

  25. 50

    Sandler

Adam Sandler has been on the big screen since I was young. His comedy makes me laugh and after my groomsmen got me a personalized shout out from Christopher McDonald aka Shooter McGavin himself, it was time for an episode on Sandler.

  26. 49

    Legacy

The next Superman has been cast! David Corenswet will play the role of Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan will play Lois Lane in James Gunns' highly anticipated reboot of the character previously played by Henry Cavill. A hard reboot is coming to DC and I am here for it. Rumours have surfaced that the Skarsgard brothers (Alexander and Bill) are in talks to screen test for Lex Luthor. 2025 cannot get here soon enough!

  27. 48

Can You Find The Wolves In This Picture

Am I a Barbie girl? I know that I'm excited to be in the Barbie world. Deadpool 3 could be better than Marvel cinematic universe. GFF (Golf, Food, Flash), Fantastic 4 and Superman Legacy casting news. Martin Scorsese is back baby!

  28. 47

FINALE ”The Scale” Part 7: The Dark Knight

It is time to close out the series "The Scale." I chose to end on part seven, The Dark Knight because of how good this film is. While The Dark Knight Rises is the true conclusion of "The Scale" it didn't feel right doing another one after this film. I hope you have enjoyed this series and that it may have gotten you excited to sit down and re-watch or watch for the first time all of these Batman movies that I enjoy so much!

  29. 46

”The Scale” Part 6: Batman Begins 2005

2005 brought us the rebirth of Batman. Christian Bale takes on the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman and Christopher Nolan introduces us to his very grounded, very realistic take on Gotham City and the caped crusader. The first film in what would become the ever-so popular Dark Knight Trilogy does not disappoint.

  30. 45

”The Scale” Part 5: Batman & Robin 1997

Oh boy the time has come! The attrocity that is Batman & Robin. The sequel we never needed, the bat nipples, the horrendous acting and who can forget the worst Batmobile of all time. The toy companies were proud of this one that's for sure.

  31. 44

”The Scale” Part 4: Batman Forever 1995

Batman Forever is a classic that brings a new face to the caped crusader (Val Kilmer). Joel Schumacher takes over for Tim Burton in the directors chair and a whole new slate of villains feature Jim Carry as The Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones as Harvey Dent Two-Face.

  32. 43

”The Scale” Part 3: Batman Mask of The Phantasm 1993

Let's discuss this animated classic starring the incredible voice talents of Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Mark Hamill (Joker). Bruce Timm and his crew from Batman the animated series hit a homer with this one.

  33. 42

”The Scale” Part 2: Batman Returns 1992

Continuing my segment from a year ago Batman Returns brings a sequel to Tim Burton's Batman universe that got even darker! The good points vs. the bad, let's discuss.

  34. 41

”The Scale” Part 1: Batman 1989

One year ago I re-watched all of the Batman films and did a series called "The Scale". I weighed the good points vs. the bad. I remember really enjoying doing this so I hope you enjoy this little series from the past!

  35. 40

What Is It About The Joker?

The Joker is a villain that I have grown up with my whole life. I have been lucky to watch many actors take on Batman's #1 nemesis as a role in their careers. The Joker will live on forever and I am here to discuss everything about him!

  36. 39

    65 Million Years Ago

Comic Book Movie Guys' Oscar predictions are in!  He took part in an evening of social drinks with his friends Austin and Zane. They then saw Sony's new Dino flick; "65 Million Years Ago"... Oh boy was this movie bad. Let's discuss!

  37. 38

    Star Wars ”The Prequel Trilogy”

Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack Of The Clones, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith.. Three films, one greater vision. These were a thrill to watch as a kid and they still hold up pretty damn good. Let's discuss the Star Wars Prequels!

  38. 37

    Harry Potter

Seven books, eight films and two theme parks later... I bring you an episode on the Harry Potter franchise. These films hold a special place in my heart now and always. Let's discuss!

  39. 36

    Space Films

Space films have been around a long time, some of them separate themselves from the others and give audiences that little something extra. Let's breakdown and discuss some of my favourite.

  40. 35

Unravelling James Gunn’s Plan for DC Studios

Brennan & Zane sit down to discuss the upcoming slate for DC Studios - Superman Legacy, Batman The Brave and The Bold, and Lanterns. They dig deep in this exciting discussion about a universe that has yet to take flight.

  41. 34

    Worlds Will Collide

The Flash Super Bowl trailer has released! The film that will reset the DC Universe, that has gone through so much since 2018 will finally come out in June. Ezra Miller (The Flash), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Michael Keaton (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Michael Shannon (General Zod) and Sasha Calle (Supergril) all feature in a trailer that is quite frankly out of this world. Let's break it down.

  42. 33

DC Chapter One: Gods & Monsters

James Gunn has finally spilt the tea on his upcoming DC Studios slate spanning across film, tv and gaming. Chapter One titled: Gods & Monsters was both surprising and exciting. This episode was a breakdown of that video of James discussing his plans to right the ship for leadership within Warner Brothers and DC.

  43. 32

    Motivational Speeches

We all need a little motivation now and again. The film industry has done a tremendous job over the years with motivational speeches in films. I am talking about Oscar winning titans like Mel Gibson's Braveheart, Disney sports films, or even comic book movies.

  44. 31

    The Show Goes On

DC updates, MCU's Modok, Kang, and a reminder of the late great Kevin Conroy. The show must go on after the bitter sting of the Snyderverse ending for good. New year, same podcast!

  45. 30

    Faith

The Hollywood Reporter just released an article basically saying that James Gunn & DC Studios are planning a hard reboot of the franchise. Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot are all out? Jason Mamoa recast as Lobo? What is going on?! I have a feeling something fishy is happening and here are my thoughts.

  46. 29

    DC’s Smokin’ Gunn

DC & WB have found their guy! James Gunn along side Peter Safron will tango to try and create DC's greater universe spanning across television, cinema and even games. Let's discuss.

  47. 28

    Can The Rock Deliver

Black Adam currently sits at a critic score of 45% on Rotten Tomatoes, while the audience score sits at a modest 88%. My question remains the same. Can The Rock deliver and re-ignite the DCEU? Let's discuss.

  48. 27

Live From Fairview on Tuesday Night

It's been a while since I sat down at the mic, here's an update. Let's chat about Batman, Superman, Henry, and Ben. Let's chat about She-Hulk, and finally DC appears to be on the right track.
