Only One Gospel
Galatians 1:6-10I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

The Account of Ishmael’s Line - Genesis 25:12–18
CPXL Season 2 • Episode 4Genesis 25:12–18 – The Account of Ishmael’s LineAs the book of Genesis continues to narrow from nations to one family, Scripture pauses to record the generations of Ishmael—Abraham’s son who was not part of the covenant line, yet still deeply seen and blessed by God.In this episode of CPXL, we explore Genesis 25:12–18 and what Ishmael’s genealogy reveals about God’s faithfulness to His promises. Though Isaac carries the covenant forward, God does not forget Ishmael. His line grows into twelve princes and a great nation, fulfilling the words God spoke years earlier to Hagar and Abraham. This conversation helps us distinguish between blessing and covenant, showing that while God’s purposes are specific, His mercy is wide. Ishmael’s story reminds us that God keeps His word—even when human decisions complicate the story—and that His compassion extends beyond the boundaries we often assume. In This Episode:Why Scripture records Ishmael’s genealogyHow God fulfills His promises outside the covenant lineThe difference between blessing and covenantWhat Ishmael’s story teaches us about God’s characterHow this passage shapes the way we view those who feel “outside” the promiseKey Scriptures:Genesis 25:12–18Genesis 16Genesis 17:18–20Genesis 21:13Psalm 145:9As we reflect on God’s faithfulness to Ishmael, we’re invited to trust God’s promises more deeply—and to see others with greater compassion as we continue into the story of Isaac’s sons.About CPXLCPXL exists to equip and encourage Everyday Missionaries to Love God, Grow Up, Serve All, and Live Sent. 👉 Follow along on the Reading Plan: crosspointchurch.com/readingplanAbout CrossPoint ChurchCrossPoint is one church in many places, reaching Kansas by catalyzing God’s people to be Everyday Missionaries. S1E12: A Vision of Jesus: How Do We See Him Now?
In the book of Revelation, John describes a moment when Jesus appeared to him in a vision. Jesus is still revealing himself to people today, but oftentimes it looks different. S1E9: The Proclamation of Christ as a Church: Sharing the Good News by Working Together
As the body of believers who make up the Church, proclaiming the Good News isn’t about having an audience, but in the conduct of how we live and act in society. If we were no longer in our communities, would they miss us? If not, are we really living in a way that proclaims the Gospel to them? In this episode of CPXL, we look at how the church can reclaim what it truly means to proclaim the Gospel. Not just as individuals, but as the unified Body of Christ.2 Peter 1:9-10But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.📣 Supplemental Resources:This week’s Sermon https://youtu.be/Pi6ptoWwiOMCurrent Sermon Series https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtt3maTJYGPwynZi1K-fJjNNHWS6PyARZ#CrossPointChurch #AndyAddis #Jesus #Christian #CPXLPodcast #ChristianPodcastAbout CrossPoint ChurchCrossPoint is one church in many places striving to reach the state of Kansas by catalyzing God's people to be Everyday Missionaries. S1E5: From Slave to Brother: When Faith Redefines Relationships
As Christians, we are never more like Jesus than when we forgive with the same grace that He forgave us. In this episode of CPXL we see a story of Sanctification. As Philemon must wrestle with Paul's letter to accept Onesimus not as a slave, but a brother in Christ. Forsaking his rights as a citizen and accepting the call to give grace in the Kingdom of God. 📖 Philemon 1:16-19No longer as a bondservant but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. 17 So if you consider me your partner, receive him as you would receive me. 18 If he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, charge that to my account. 19 I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it—to say nothing of your owing me even your own self.📣 Supplemental Resources: This week’s Sermon (Sermon link)Current Sermon Series (Playlist link)#CrossPointChurch #AndyAddis #Jesus #Christian #CPXLPodcast #ChristianPodcastAbout CrossPoint Church CrossPoint is one church in many places striving to reach the state of Kansas by catalyzing God's people to be Everyday Missionaries. S1E2: The Christian Calling: Salvation, Sanctification, and Service

Episode 225: Turn On Your Heartlight
In Luke 18 we see Jesus teaching on the posture of your heart. That those who exult themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted. - Join Pastor Andy Addis and his wife Kathy as they host CPXL for the last time. Next week CPXL will return in a new format. Luke 18:9-14 9 He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: 10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ 13 But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. 9 Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”

Episode 222: Friendships in the body of Christ
Colossians 4:7-187 Tychicus will tell you all about my activities. He is a beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. 8 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts, 9 and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you of everything that has taken place here.10 Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark the cousin of Barnabas (concerning whom you have received instructions—if he comes to you, welcome him), 11 and Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only men of the circumcision among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. 13 For I bear him witness that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis. 14 Luke the beloved physician greets you, as does Demas. 15 Give my greetings to the brothers at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house. 16 And when this letter has been read among you, have it also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and see that you also read the letter from Laodicea. 17 And say to Archippus, “See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.”

Press On | CPXL 221
Philippians 3:12-16Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained.

Help a Brother Out
Galatians 6:1-5Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. 5 For each will have to bear his own load.

Give Even Though It Hurts
2 Corinthians 8:1-5We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, 2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. 3 For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, 4 begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints— 5 and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.

Yes and No
2 Corinthians 4:7-12 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our bodies. 11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death is at work in us, but life in you.

Stay Off My Court
1 Corinthians 6:1-8When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints? 2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? 3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life! 4 So if you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who have no standing in the church? 5 I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no one among you wise enough to settle a dispute between the brothers, 6 but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers? 7 To have lawsuits at all with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? 8 But you yourselves wrong and defraud—even your own brothers!

Did Easter take?
Mark 16:1-8When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. 2 And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. 3 And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” 4 And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. 6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” 8 And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
