Expensive SNES RPGs: The Obvious Ones
People love the SNES. People love RPGs. This creates a popular, awesome crossroads of stellar RPGs, several of which are extremely expensive. Today I feel like musing about the obvious ones. If you don't feel like listening, here's a quick rundown, chock-full of spoilers. Final Fantasy II (IV) & III (VI): They're not the most expensive things here, and they're high-quality, name-brand turn-based RPGs. These are good carts to have, but the GBA re-releases are strong, inexpensive options. EarthBound: It's a little overrated and more expensive than actually rare. However, it's still a great, unique turn-based RPG, and there aren't many other ways to play it. Chrono Trigger: One of the best RPGs of all time is also very rare. This turn-based RPG is fairly worthy of its price tag, but the DS re-release is high-caliber and inexpensive. Super Mario RPG - Legend of the Seven Stars: It's not the best RPG of all time, but it's very good, very rare, very Mario, and is one of the least expensive things from this group. There are so few good ways to play this game that the original cartridge is well worth it. Secret of Mana: This action RPG's unique multiplayer function seems to inflate its price. Still, it's a great game that can't be played many other ways. Daily Commute #12

Why are messy foods served at game parties?
Why do people bring/serve messy foods at game parties? I don't greasy, nasty hands all over my controllers and playing cards! Barbecue, pizza, pudding-based desserts; how am I supposed to eat these while I play games!?!?!? This all begs the question, what foods ARE good for gaming parties? Personally, I like cookies, pretzels and dips, dare I say even fruits and veggies, and most importantly, my wife's delicious won-ton ranch stars! Basically, if it can function in a bowl and be eaten (appropriately) with your hands, it's probably a decent game party food. And don't even get me STARTED on good party DRINKS! Daily Commute #11

The Super Top Secret To A Great Game Room
I have discovered the super mega awesome top secret to a great game room; storage and organization! Oh wait, did I just type that out loud? A great collection is obviously important, as is seating and tvs or monitors. However, the most underappreciated and maybe low-key most important overall facet of a great game room is storage and organization. We're moving into our new house soon and, assuming we'll have kids someday, it'll be more important than ever. Daily Commute #10

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe & the Surprisingly Good Wii U Launch Lineup
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the fastest selling non-bundled, console-exclusive video games of all time! Seeing as it's already been released once, I'd say it shows that Nintendo Switch owners are starving for Grade A titles. They've bought into the idea and the hardware, but the game lineup still leaves plenty to be desired. For some reason, this makes me think a lot about the launch lineups for the Switch, the Wii and the Wii U. Spoiler alert; I like the Wii U launch lineup best. Daily Commute #9
