Influenced by the charisma of R&B and Neo-Soul, DeColo's rhymes are a platform for telling his story. After receiving his first piece of musical equipment (turntable) at age 10, DeColo and his friends would record parody songs purely for their own amusement. By the time he was a high school sophomore, the Denver native matured his music into skilled lyricism. After 10+ years of making music, the artist has developed a truly unique sound.In the simplest of terms, DeColo is a rapper that loves to sing. His effort to engineer that specific “Colorado” sound led him to the smooth, chill-hop sounds of “Breakfast For Dinner”, the culmination of DeColo's love for R&B and the lyrical prowess of dulcet rap.
