    Allez Allez 2010

George was the first podcast for the now internationally reknowned Allez Allez blog back in 2006. In May 2010 the Allez crew asked George to do a follow up podcast for them to celebrate their ongoing success. And that he did!! Due to public demand and with permission for the crew, George has reposted this exceedingly well received podcast for Demures Diaries. With music from LCD Soundsystem, Django Reinhardt, Yukihiro Takahashi, Mos Def, Philip Glass and more, we hope this keeps you entertained until the forthcoming 2011 selection of podcast joy from Mr Demure. Enjoy

    What Is Love..

Settling down into 2010 and George ponders the question of love via his deep delicious crates of music. Although quite timely what with February's bonanza time for the greetings card industry, this podcast has very little to do with that particular St Valentine. There's a spot of imaginary busking, armchair philosophy and an exclusive track from Mr Demure. With choice selections inspired by childhood memories of his Dansette record player and a stack of his mums unwanted 7" singles, "What Is Love" is another fine journey into the eclectic mind of a dreamer. Enjoy!

    Podcast X

George selects another bunch of outsider classics, rare nuggets and delightful discoveries with only the slightest hint of yuletide reverie. As this edition is, essentially, a winters night out in George's head, anything is possible. There's music from Black Daniel, Rosemary Clooney, Carl Craig, Missy Elliot and even the Original Blind Boys of Alabama. George Melly sings with The Stranglers and the Sparks tell us about the Number One Song In Heaven. La la lala la lala la la................. Enjoy the silly season. X

    August Days 09

George and three friends scatter some occasional harmony over this late summer selection. From Burns to the Four Freshmen, Tom Vek via ATCQ, Santigold and much more, there's an exclusive from The Shylocks and an electronic reworking of a Smog classic from Mr Demure. Enjoy!!

Diary Entry 004 - One Before the Summer 09-cast

Finally back after a busy spring, George records another Jellycast show before the summer. As well as another show for Diesel U Music Radio (www.dieselumusic.com) on May 23rd, more collaberations afoot and work commencing on his second LP, George has delved into his vast collection of old and brand new (occasionally exclusive) music and chosen a superb collection for you to feast your ears upon. With edits of Who Made Who, The Marvellettes and more, not forgetting new tracks from the Animal Collective and classics from Phil Spector era Ramones, there is also a wee bit of singing here and there to spice up the mix. Until the next edition of Demures Diaries, enjoy. And thanks for listening!!!

    Vintage Vault Cast - 2007

Back in 2007 the fabulous Allez-Allez website asked George to record a podcast for them, in any style he'd like. With some exclusives, re-edits, favourites and a little bit of singing himself, George did just that. And he was hooked. Here from the vaults is Georges first podcast. Enjoy

    Diary Entry 002 - France cast 2008

George played a flurry of dates in Paris earlier this year (2008) and was, once again, struck by the beauty of the french language in song. He was struck by a few things actually but the less said the better. Join him as he and his interpreter, the gorgeous Isabel, traverse across the landscape of music found over the channel and meet friends, foes and helicopters along the way.

    Vintage Vault Cast - 2008

After the success of the Allez-Allez Podcast George hoped to improve upon it with a second one. This podcast was available via myspace/mediafire in January 2008 and met with rapterous approval once again. Unfortunately by the spring of 2008 the link failed, George moved house and the podcast looked lost forever, until now. Recently rediscovered hiding on an old laptop this podcast is once again available for your listening pleasure, here, at the wonderful Jellycast site.

    Diary Entry 001 - Glaston-cast August 2008

George performed again at Glastonbury this year (2008) in the fabulous Guardian Lounge. Join him as he recounts the highs, the lows, the bands, the weather, alien abduction and falafel overdose cured with pear cider.
