Some impressions of the last workdays!

A great reminder for us to check where we put out intention. Energy flows where attention goes. So I want more energy put on this by sharing some impressions with you from our first trek to the "hidden pool" in the forest.

Taking you along for a bit of water spiral philosophy and how to add more organic matter to the garden by bringing in wood for decomposition. Feels amazing to finally get practical in the garden and not drive around Europe like a headless... chicken.

Me badmouthing a well-meaning and genuine attempt at compost toileting. It was built with heart and may suit some people, but I do not like this setup for practical reasons... Can't wait to build my own... JUST THE WAY I PREFER IT!

Last fire scouting vid from yesterday and a few workday impressions playing with concrete and filling up a long crack in the kitchen counter with sawdust and wood glue mix. Plus Bramble Ramble!

Spent a few days away from our workaway gig to wait out the forest fires. We returned today and went up on this side of the mountain ridge to see how the fires look from up there.

After a day at our workaway gig we opted to reposition Penny to a shadier spot which involved a lot of bramble trimming. And then we were surprised by some unexpected news!

We are almost to our next workaway gig and a new chapter starts for us in Portugal. This is how the old chapter closed!

A collage of travel impressions from our last day in Spain. EVER! Just kidding, we have no idea when or if we'll be back but for now: we are in what people call Portugal! All filled up on drinking water, dead tired and overheated from a long day and ready to see the country tomorrow and embarrass ourselves by ill-pronouncing that funky language with the two phrases we know to speak! Exciting times!

During our day off at the unexpectedly awesome picnic spot, tractors kept going by all day and I caught one on camera. Still a good spot to rest for a day though! Then fast forward to today two capturing where we will sleep tonight, snuggling Penny into a poky hedgerow corner in the middle of nowhere in Spain.

I think our society has those two terms completely mixed up! Just look at all the trash in the middle of the city and how clean our nature'y sleeping spot is in comparison!

This is turning into a vLog! Making our way in the Western part of the Spanish Pyrenees, to stay away from the hot and dry inland and stick toward the coast and mountain side. Will we be able to stay away from the scorching heat all summer long? 😉

We could force the entry to this sleeping spot but we really don't want to. Intuition says do not violently gin entry! Bite the sour apple, and find a different spot!
