This episode is an introduction to my next 15 episodes.… and let’s just say — we’re not playing it safe this season. We’re talking about the stuff that sits in the car park after training. Episode 20. The cost of DEFLATION
Now, onto today’s hot topic— a little something that’s been buzzing around in my brain. It’s something Alex and I have been chatting about with a bunch of gym owners and fellow event providers. With the new Aussie season just around the corner, families and gym owners are setting the stage for their teams. So, let’s get into it; I'm calling this segment “The Cost of Deflation.” Yes, you heard me right—not inflation, but THAT, deflation…aka The Shrinking Team Syndrome The Reality of Team Sizes Less does not equal more Perception v reality… Etc, etc, etc…

Episode 19. Find your tribe love them hard
I want to mention that this episode is a valuable listen no matter where you are in your cheer and dance journey and time of the season, as I know these thoughts and questions can arise at any time. Alright, legends, today we’re diving into what you really value in your journey, not for business owners, but for parents, athletes, and dancers. It's a friendly reminder for families to pause….. and reflect before sticking around for the wrong reasons, jumping ship impulsively, or giving up altogether when it’s not warranted.

Episode 18. Bibbidi bobbidi boo
Time management isn’t some magical power you can wave a wand at; it’s a skill that needs to be developed. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, but today I’m going to share how I make it work for me, and hopefully, you’ll walk away with a few ideas for creating your own Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo magic. Before we dive in, I want to make sure you’re all set for the next few minutes. Today’s podcast is all about time management, so I encourage you to give it your full attention. Step 1: Eliminate distractions. Step 2: Seriously, eliminate distractions. Step 3: Again, eliminate distractions… because I mean it.

Episode 17. "The Poor Cousin"
Today’s topic is, “The Poor Cousin”… Snaps for you if you are listening to this and have already worked out what I will discuss today….. Who gets treated like the poor cousin? … Allstar Dance. This podcast has been a long time coming, and I needed to be in the right headspace to get this out. I hope that after hearing this, we can all help make a difference and give 1% more time and energy into making sure AllStar Dance stops getting treated like the poor cousin. Because it isn’t, and I am sure I am not alone when I say I am so sick of people acting like it is…

I don’t want to hold my breath, but I feel hopeful, confident, and excited that over the last month, we have finally taken a step forward without three steps back. ACSA and ACU….here is your chance to not prove me wrong. Bring on governance from 2025, let’s all manifest the shit out of this and make it happen, it is what we need, what we want and will mean more support for all of us in the sport and a better future for our athletes. Episode 15 - P R O F I T—is not a dirty word
I am excited to return in 2024 and ready to take you on another crazy journey. I will share what is inside my head regarding the world of Cheer and dance, and I will always urge you to give 1% more to your thoughts, feelings, and actions today, tomorrow, and in the future. Today’s topic feels a bit like a “don’t shoot the messenger” moment, but I have been sitting on this for a while, and based on calls, emails and conversations I have been having recently, I think it’s time we spoke about it. Here goes nothing today; I am telling you all—athletes, parents, gym owners, coaches, EPs, and anyone listening—that PROFIT—P.R.O.F.I.T—is not a dirty word.

Episode 13- The 50% Rule (Bonus track)
I had a great question presented by a parent that I think is an awesome topic…. they asked “Why do gyms earn a bid and then immediately start advertising for try outs and athletes?”….

Episode 12 - Oprah
So, todays topic is called OPRAH, and why I am calling it this is because for years we would be at Worlds Bid Events in Australia and it felt like we were on an Oprah show where everyone got a Worlds Bids like they were Oprah gifts under their chair…. Like legit, there was (and still is) more bids than teams going for bids so this quote started where we would be at awards sessions and teams that didn’t even place or know where they placed in their divisions were then being announced for Worlds bids and people would say “you get a bid, you get a bid everyone gets it bid”………aka just like Oprah saying “you get a prize, you get a prize, everyone gets a prize”.

Episode 10 - Let's talk cake
It feels like as an event provider you are dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t. People really want to have their cake and eat it too. Inflation is seriously scary right now, for all of us, it is effecting our day to day family lives and all businesses, no one is immune to what’s going on right now.

Episode 7 - Splitting divisions
Before we begin today, I would like you all to remember the point of these podcasts is to give me 1% more to a thought, feeling or action. I am saying this because, believe me, I know everyone has some very strong opinions about this topic, and I would like everyone to be in a good head space to be able to take in this podcast in the hope you are not just arguing with me from inside your car, home or office.

Episode 3 - Apples VS Oranges
As we all embark on the competition season I wanted to chat about Apples VS Oranges…. and by that I mean the difference between judging a routine and being a spectator watching a routine……and YES, even if you know how to judge but you are a spectator that day this still applies to you. Disclaimer** - Yes, Team A is a 4.6 the second time around, sorry I made a human error when speaking, lol.
