In this episode we take a drive out to East Donegal Township to the Brubaker farm. The Brubakers have had their land for nearly 100 years, and passed it down over the generations. They raise cows for dairy, chickens for poultry, and grow plants to keep those animals fed. Hemp was legalized in 2019, triggering a boom in Lancaster County where farmers wanted to cash in on what seemed like a cash crop. The rush into the industry flooded the market with CBD and hemp products, causing prices to fall off a steep cliff.
