Barbados drag racing is at a serious turning point.In this episode of the RSL Racing Podcast, we sit down with Dre Tuned, Sammy Cumberbatch, Romel “Muffin” Allen, and Vivian to talk about the current state of drag racing in Barbados, the lack of a true quarter-mile facility, and why some of the island’s fastest cars may soon have to leave Barbados just to properly test and compete.These are not average street cars. In Episode 5 of the RSL Racing Podcast, we had the honor of sitting down with Roger Skeete, “The Sheriff,” alongside Dane Skeete, for a conversation with the most successful rally driver of all time in Barbados.We spoke about what it feels like to win Rally Barbados for the first time, how many wins it takes before you almost lose count, and the lessons that come from a combined 15 years of winning at the top. Roger also shares how the sport has changed over the years, from the atmosphere and competition to the cars themselves.We get into the Peugeot rally car vs the Subaru, the difference between home-built rally cars and factory specials, and the kind of experience that only years in the sport can teach.It was a real privilege to have Roger on with us. We honestly did not expect to be able to sit down with a true legend of Barbados rallying, so this one means a lot.
