As the Sunday evening camp fire kicks off, Brittany and Ted sit down with fellow campers Ellen Promise and Isaac Medrano, outside the Boat House, to chat about their Camp experience and reflections on the weekend. It's a diverse range of perspectives, as it's the 3rd camp for Ted, the first for Brittany and Ellen, and for Isaac, his first Camp Indie but not his first time meeting LI folks in person. When an event like Camp Indie is over, and we head home, or onto our next adventure, the sizzle of energy and momentum is still there for at least the first few days. People share photos and videos, group messages get sent around, and you can see mutual friends expand on social media. But as time goes by, how do we maintain that energy and spirit? How do we keep those profound memories and shared experiences as prominent as possible, instead of fading deeper into the past?

We all do it in our own style, but we each have an innate desire to approach life differently. That could be through work and career, where and how you live, where you spend your money, or where you put your priorities. All of the above, and more. Sharon follows up on her previous interactions and we find out how campers take on this notion of "living a different life" in an active, visceral way.

An experience like Camp Indie invites you to make some pretty big changes to your life, giving you an entirely new sense of purpose. But any big change starts with a singular decision to pursue that change, and begin heading down that path.  Sharon Welch gets some thoughts and perspectives from fellow campers on how they have confronted moments in their lives of having to make big, impactful decisions that could alter their destiny.

Camp Indie is a transformational event that brings together people who want to live their lives in a different way: free from corporate bonds, 9-5 schedules, debt and consumerism, and so many of the things that lock us down into a life lived on someone else's terms. Added to this is a love of travel, sustained by things like digital nomadism, housesitting, house exchanging, seasonal work, remote work and more.
