For this week, I will be doing a cover of the song titled "control" by Tenth Avenue. This song simplified, talks about just two things which are "Surrender" and "Trust". The singer talks about surrendering his all to Jesus. Casting all his fears, ambitions, dreams, flaws and everything in between to Jesus. And this requires a high level of trust. Because it's not possible to surrender our all to something or someone we don't trust. Now this song still emphasises ok the fact that God can be trusted cause He has so many beautiful plans for our lives and all He asks for in return is for us to surrender and trust him enough. I chose this song because of this reason. Because so many times I try to control the way things go in my life but this song is one of the songs that always serves as a reminder to me to give up control to Him who is in charge, to Him who can never fail me, to Him who knows my end even from the beginning. It is week 37 and I am singing the cover of the hymn titled "Amazing grace". This hymn is a hymn that we are all very familiar with and although it was not released in the 1940s (the hymn goes ways back that that), it is still one of the GOAT hymns. It speaks about the grace of God over us all, saving us from sin and death, saving us from fear and anxieties, and giving us freedom in Christ. Hmmmnnn it is an amazing grace indeed. I couldn't find a song to sing based on the theme for this week which is the 1930s and 1940s. And while I was thinking of a song I will present, I was able to remember this hymn and got to sing it.
