    Students in Adult Education English as a Second Language 702 Beginning Low with Instructor Sersea researched online a variety of jobs they were interested in and wrote sentences about them.     Episode 8: Student Interviews: Short Term Plans. Long Term Plans, and the American Dream

    Achieving the American Dream is possible through hard work, determination, and education. Planning for the American Dream includes setting short-term and long-term goals. In this inspirational educational activity, Adult Education English as a Second Language Beginning Low, AESL 702, students answered questions about themselves, their short-term plans, their long-term plans, and their American Dreams. Here are the questions:What is your name?In what year did you move to the USA?Why did you move to the USA?Describe your American dream.Identify 3 short-term plans you have.andIdentify 3 long-term plans you have.

    Episode 7 - AESL 702 Invitation and Topics Covered

    Are you an adult English as a Second Language Learner? Do you wish to learn English for free? You're invited to join us for the upcoming Spring 2025 semester which starts in January, 2025.Adult Education English as a Second Language Beginning Low Level, AESL 702, is taught at Saddleback College, in beautiful Mission Viejo, California. This 1-semester course covers many topics to help adult English learners succeed in school and in life.

    Episode 6: Dolch Sight Words Level "K" - Student Activity

    Dolch Sight Words Kindergarten Level - SentencesFor this activity, students in the AESL 702 Beginning Low class were separated into 5 groups in which they discussed the Dolch Sight Words Kindergarten level list. Then they took turns and discussed how each vocabulary term can be used into a complete idea. After that, each group identified a group leader who coordinated each individual in the group to participate and write simple sentences with each vocabulary term assigned. Finally, each group assigned an individual presenter to read the group’s sentences in front of the entire class.[

    Episode 5: Simple Present Tense Sentences: To Be, To Have, To Go

    In this learning activity, Adult Education English as a Second Language AESL 702 students with Maestro Sersea practiced formulating complete ideas by writing simple sentences in the simple present tense with the verbs To Be, To Have, and To Go.Students worked individually on their sentences, and then shared them with their class.

    Episode 4: Good, Better, Best -- Student Activity

    Adult English as a Second Language (AESL 702) Beginning Low Students with Maestro Sersea received a mini-lesson on irregular adjective "good", with it's comparative form "better," and the superlative form, "best."Students were then separated into groups where they discussed, debated, and answered the following questions:1. What is the best supermarket?2. What is the best clothing store?3. What is the best shoes store?4. What is the best cellphone company?5. What is the best city to live in?What is the best Mexican Food restaurant?and7. What is the best fast-food restaurant?

    Episode 3: Presentation 1 - Student Activity

    For this activity, students in the AESL 702 Beginning Low class were given several questions to answer about themselves. Then they worked in small groups, took turns, and shared their responses. Finally, each student presented their responses in front of the class.
