I'm not going to tell you exactly where in Mazatlan, MX this beach is (yes, there is a large sandy area too), but it is super secluded and most people just walk or drive by it on the cliffs above. It has an ancient staircase down to it too. If you're into meditation, private sunbathing, or just a nice place to produce some artwork, this is the spot. Just sitting and pondering can be considered meditation, so give it a try sometime. Sink your toes into the sand, or the grass, or even some dirt. The grounding and tranquility does a body good 😃

Mazatlan has so much to do here, you'll never get bored. Much of it is totally free too. Yesterday we decided to go on a quick hike and check out the Zipline. A cruise ship pulled in too, hence all the tourists this week, but we still had a great time along with an awesome burn on my quads and gluts goin up all the lighthouse stairs... 😃

Today in Mazatlan, we went for a short walk along the "Malecon" southern end, the longest boardwalk in the world, 13 miles (21 km) long. I have to point out some interesting things along the way though, you'll be surprised. Musicians, singers, dancers, some weird tourists and even some actual Mermaids! 😍

I took a little night-stroll thru Mazatlan last night and I ran into some very interesting people. This walk was around 7:45pm so it wasn't really hopping just yet, but the lights and sounds really come on around 8pm. You can walk around Mazatlan at night not just because of the lighting, but because of the PEOPLE.. Mazatlecos don't give you any of the high pressure sales tactics which you might find in other touristy areas. If you smile though, you'll be amazed at how chatty everyone here is (~50% speak english). There's something for everyone here. All kinds of music from opera, to classical, big band, house and hiphop, classic rock and even heavy metal. Art? Yep, it's everywhere (watch some of our other videos for exclusives). People often ask "Is Mexico safe?" and "What about the cartels?".. To that, I ask them if they enjoy going on a stroll thru Watts, Detroit, or downtown Chicago, Detroit or New York City. The point is, avoid the bad areas of any town and be street smart no matter where you are. Stop texting and instagramming, put the phone down and take a look around. They don't let financial or other stresses dictate their lives. An Artist and Digital Nomads' dream home, Mazatlan offers it all. High class at a low price, there's always something going here for all ages. This is the first in a multi-part walking-tour series of videos in gorgeous Mazatlan, Mexico. Just a couple hour flight south from Texas, or a 6-hour drive north from Puerto Vallarta, the beaches and city of Mazatlan have got it all, especially for Expats. Around 50% of the population here speaks fluent english and is the first to say hello. No obnoxious tourists here since there is a very respectful attitude in the air here, with helpful, resourceful, family friendly vibes to help you get situated and find everything you could ever want and more. Rent rates right in the center of town are under $1000 USD per month for a 2-bedroom with well-lit streets as you can see in the video.
