This week I spoke with the amazing Leeds based band 'Volk Soup'. in this episode we discussed how you can maintain a distinct sound whilst not sticking to a genre as well as if you can separate the art from the artist and listen to controversial figures.  They are an absolutely phenomenal band and a must see live so please check them out where you can 

Luc from Scottish based band Dutch Wine kindly sat down with me to talk about the usual existential questions as well as the importance of cultivating grass route bands. If you get the chance to please check them out they are really cool and a must see. 

Mince are an amazing Leeds based band who where kind enough to decide to sit down with me many moons ago. They are a very raw and real indie rock band who are Definity a lot more than shouty shitty indie. If you like early artic monkeys you will absolutely love these guy. So please check out their music or go see them live when you have the chance !!!

RATPAK are an amazing Leeds based queer punk collective who kindly sat down with me for a second time to discuss life, love and Lightning McQueen, as well as the importance of musical acts being able to have a voice under this current political climate. If you are free the 6th of September please check them out at Wharf Chambers where you'll be greeted with great music and even greater food. You won't want to miss it ! 

Today I spoke with anarchist Bradford based band ‘Echo Machine One’. In this episode we spoke about how growing your own vegetable patch can be a form of anarchy as well as different philosophical mantra's. 

Middle class guilt are a shetlands based collective who I had the pleasure of speaking with. We discussed what it was like growing up in Scotland what got them into music and class within the industry. 

This week Nottingham queer folk punk band ‘cheap dirty horse’ sat down and spoke to me about falling in love with music, their local scene and dealing grief. It was an absolute pleasure having the opportunity to speak to them if you want to check them out they are going to be playing ‘GLADRAGS’ trans pride after party in Nottingham on the 21st of June. 

Brand New Legs are an indie band from Manchester who last month released their single 'chamomile' which is a Sapphic love song exploring the lead singer Jen's first queer relationship.   In the episode they discuss their inspirations and musical moments that defined their lives.  They are going to Headlining Manchester's iconic Pink Room in September. So if you want to hear them live please go check them out then !   

HIGHWAVES are a creative collective that have crafted a sound that races from spacious to suffocating, combining the dark aggression of grunge with dreamlike washes reminiscent of shoe-gaze. They have sat down with me to discuss growing up in a northern town.  Their single 'Family Tree' is coming out on the 28th of March so please go check it out. 

Nat Dempsey is a Manchester based artist who I have known for many years now. Here we discuss grassroots music, brit core. We also have a little exploration as to how covid changed the way we consume music and the way that music scenes are grown now.  His new single 'Not quite there yet' is going to be released this Friday, so keep your eyes peeled for this one as it is going to be spectacular. 

This Week I sat down and spoke to Mia and Amy from King Violet. Here we spoke about their musical journey's, Taylor Swift, movie soundtracks and as always what songs reflect key aspects of themselves/life.  If you like the sound of King Violet please look out for their single 'Here Before' that is set to be released on the 4th of April and they will be playing in Manchester on the 19th of April. So please check them out they are lovely guys !!

REYGAN is a Leeds based artist who has recently published a new single called 100 mph after a two year long hiatus. They sat down and discussed with me why they decided to release as well as the usual songs that defined key moments of their life. If you like indie rock music with an 80's flair you will love REYGAN. 

Album of a Lifetime is a fun, light hearted exploration into existentialism and the meaning of life through the means of music. It is also a chance to discover up and coming artists from all over the place. So if you are a fan of deep chats and good music you will love this. In this weeks episode I spoke to Dutch Criminal Record who are an indie rock band who have recently supported The Wombats live on tour. If you are a fan of Circa Waves or any chill/surf rock style music you are going to love them.
